Windows 7; Photoshop CS6.
Â
I have a printer/scanner that is attached on another (Windows XP) machine on the network. I have no problems seeing and using the printer over the network, but is there a way that the scanner can be shared as well?
the Adobe products in question are CS3 & CS4 PhotoShop - i upgraded my Mac from 10.5.8 to 10.8.2 - i use a Epson Perfection 1640SU stand alone scanner - in 10.5.8 my scanner would always show in the Menu (Menu > File > Import > Epson Prefect 1640) - after i upgraded - it disappeared - i went to Epson’s site to get their latest driver for 10.8.2 - it direct me to go to Apple’s Store for their latest updates - i had no new updates listed at Apple Store - i called Apples help line - they directed me to one of their sites for the latest Epson driver for 10.8.2 - i installed the update - went to PhotoShop 3 & 4 - and again the scanner didn't show when I went - Menu > File > Import > (No scanner listed) - i called Apple back - told them the problem - they said for me to contact you (Adobe) since it was your software to see if you have any Plug-Ins for Epson Scanners running on OS 10.8.2.
I've tried installing a CanoScan Lide 200 scanner to be used with Photoshop CS6 but can't seem to make it work. I downloaded the two latest drivers available on Canon's website and installed them but it hasn't worked.
With CS6 I can use FileImport to initiate a scan but when I create an action and try to run it, I get an error message 'The command "Import" is not currently available'. The action works fine with CS5.5.  I am using Silverfast and the old version works with CS5 & 6 while the new version of Silverfast works with neither. Looks like the problem lies with Silverfast.
I'm running windows 7 and just installed CS6 64 bit. I understand 64 bit doesn't use TWAIN and must instead go by way of WID. Problem is getting that set up. Very little information other than being told to un-install and re-install in 32 bit.
I've been using CS3 for a few years (on a Mac platform). I just got a new computer (OS 10.7.5), but can't get scans imported successfully. I downloaded the latest driver from the Epson website (my scanner is an Epson Perfecion 3200 Photo), but instead of going into Photoshop as directed, the data wound up in an otherwise blank window.
Normally, accessing the scanner involved Photoshop --> file --> import, but right now my scanner doesn't show up on the sub-menu, nor do I know how to get it there!
In CS3 I was able to see my scanner via file: import: scanner (epson V700 PHOTO). In CS6 it does not recognize scanner is therea plug in or other way to see the scanner?
I have tons of analog pictures and I would like to get them into computer and of course process in Photoshop. I have very bad experience with scanners about ten years ago, mainly since it was not able to get colors right, but it had other flaws too.
I have so many pictures it is not realistic to go into a shop, I want to do it by myself, if possible. So the question is, what resolution and color quality has the scanner to have in order to get the picture ( not slide ) close to the original ?
How do I install my scanner, CanoScan LiDE 210, to import images into Photoshop? This scanner has been installed into my Mac already, but does not show in Photoshop under "Import".
When creating a profile for my Microtek 4800 scanner (using Profile Prism), I am asked to do this using the default (or none) scanner settings.
I have recently found out about calibrating and/or neutralizing my scanner to read shades of gray, say 127, 127, 127.
My question is should I profile my scanner after or before calibration, or not at all?
recommend not profiling the scanner, merely scan at 48 bits, then send it to Photoshop (for editing) as an untagged file and convert it to my PS working space.
can i select a portion of the shadows? i mean i open a photo , -> select ->color range ->shadows (i can select midtones and highlights) well now i have selected all the shadows my question is , now i have all the shadows selected , can i select only a portion of the shadows? i mean the shadows more close the the black , in short , the more deep shadows ? or can i select the portition of the shadow more close to the midtones ?
When I attempt to share a photo involving the photoshop showcase, I select a photo and then select share, the photoshop video showcase is offered and not the showcase service for photos. I have created an account at photoshop showcase.com but it will not allow me to upload as apparently it does not know I have PSE 11 and PSPE 11.
When scanning a paper with an external USB scanner I use File->Import->WIA support. But for some reason I always see multiple scanners in the list of icons, although I only have one scanner connected. Â It seems like there is an icon shown for each USB port the device once was connected on, but I never know which icon is routed to the USB port the scanner is connected now.The 'wrong icons' throw an error message, so I always have to test all the icons until I found the right icon.
I'm using Mac OSX10.6.8. I have an Epson Perfection 2400 scanner that I would access in Photoshop CS4 under File/Import/Epson 2400. And then scan. Â After I installed PS CS6, that palette option is gone. How do I access my scanner again?
For some reason PSCS4 has lost the connection to my Epson V100 scanner. I have reinstalled the scanner twice. All other applications can find it, but not PS.
I'm looking to do a Scanner Darkly style to some of my pictures. I know for the movie they used Rotoshop and not Photoshop but I would like to do that style with Photoshop.
Anybody would know how to do it?? Is this possible without buying plugins?? If not, which plugin should I buy?
What is Descreen? I found this option in the scanner software. What if i select Descreen? How the photo will be scanned if i select "Descreen" and "NoDescreen"? Which one should I use while scanning the photo? either "Descreen" or "NoDescree"?
I scanned my wife's signature into Photoshop, and the background appears blue-ish (instead of white). The paper was completely white, yet for some strange reason, it appears *blue* after having been scanned.
How do I eliminate the blue tint -- or better yet, just delete the white background entirely? I'd love to have just my wife's signature on a transparent background.
What is the prosedure to import img from scanner to photoshop elements? I'm used to PH CS, and there i have a choise to import scanner, but that is not present in PH elements?
how to edit an image. I now wanted to save it and share it on facebook but it is telling me I can't because the file size is too large. How do I save it or compress it smaller so I can share it on facebook or send it as an email?
I had it uploading to FB yesterday and today it won't go. This has happened before and then when I try again a day later, it will upload. This makes no sense. I've rebooted, attempted to turn off firewall, reset the service in preferences. All I get is a white box and it just hangs there after I go to Share > Facebook. Â I am using PSE Organizer 11 on a Windows 7 machine.
I will soon have access to Premier Pro at a local Public TV Provider. I am considering purchasing Premier Elements for my home computer. I was wondering if I could do a rough cut using Premier Elements and then polish it using Premier Pro?
