When I go to save the image I am working on, the PNG Dialogue box is black , I mean that the radial and submit buttons show up but the rest is just black....avoid a total reinstall of my CS6 package.

This issue does not happen using the PSD or JPG save options either.
I've ticked the box to hide a dialogue box in error, how do I get it to show again?

Recently, however, I have been unable to generate 32 bit images from the 'Merge to HDR Pro' process.

When I begin the process and select my files, the dialogue box I should see pop open to select 32 bit, 16 bit, etc. output options, does not open. Photoshop launches directly into the merge process, aligns the source photos, transforms, etc., and finally outputs a 16 bit image, which is opened in photoshop as if I had opened it from a source folder.

At no point in the process is the histogram of the new HDR photo displayed. I am unable to find any HDR preference pages where I could possibly change settings.
I am trying to record an Action where the dialogue box for Flatten/Cancel/Don't Flatten comes up. Flatten is the default selection but I would like a keyboard shortcut that allows me to select "Don't Flatten".Â

When I click on 'Brightness/Contrast' the eyedropper becomes active as usual but the dialog screen with the two 'sliders' for brightness and contrast is not visible. Where is it? If I uninstall and reinstall it's OK again for a while.

I use one for sharpening with the following steps:

1. Convert to Lab Mode
2. Select Lightness Channel
3. Open Unsharp Mask Dialogue Box
4. Convert back to RGB Mode

The "Dialogue" box is correctly toggled to "on" in Step # 3

However when I execute the Action, the Dialogue Box for USM doesn't automatically pop up, as it did in CS4 - but if I click anywhere on the screen, it then does.

I tried recreating the same action in CS5, but it has the same problem - the Dialogue Box for USM doesn't open by itself, and only does so after I click anywhere on the screen.

I deinstalled photoshop 5.0 by mistake, and have problems with re-installation. I restarted pc, deactivated kaspersky antivirus and put in CD, but nothing happens except the audible spinning of the CD. No installation dialogue appears on the screen..

When I use Unsharp Mask, the window pops up across part of my image. Cannot drag it away from the image. I noticed the title "Unsharp Mask" is not highlighted which is a clue that it can't be moved. Are there any particular settings I should look into?Â

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen selecting the render video command, a progress bar appears stating "Initializing Video Export", and gets most of the way done but then freezes. At this point a dialogue pops up saying that "Required software extensions are missing" and that if one presses okay it will direct to the PACE website where an installer can be downloaded. But this dialogue then proceeds to freeze as well. The little circle of death spins forever in front of it and neither button may be pressed. Went to the PACE website and looked at their anti-piracy "tools" and it all seemed rather weird. Anyway, what is the way past this empasse?

I have an older late 2008 macbook pro with OS 10.8.3, running Photoshop CS6.
When I open "Image>Image size" for example, the dialogue window that opens appear half way off-screen, and I can't access it. The only way for me to close it is to use the Esc button.
Every time I open one of theese windows, they wander off a couple of pixels, until they can't be reached. Sure, I can try to reset their position manually each time I use them, but that's not how it's supposed to be.
I need a way to reset all windows positions. The workspace options doesn't seem to include the dialogue windows, so that's no use.
I'm new to the forum, and new to Photoshop. I'm trying to replace a color in an image. When I click, Image > Adjustments > Replace Color, and the dialogue box opens, everything isn't showing. I've attached a screen shot of what I see. Could there be something wrong with my program or am I missing something else?

I don't know what's going on here , but I don't remember anything about a shortcut file . I just clicked a new workspace quite simply. And I don't remember thinking in terms of saving any changes or resetting any new stuff.
In CS4 Bridge 3.0.0.0.464 when you right click on a photo there is the option to 'move to'. This gives the options of a greyed out 'recent folders' 10 other folder locations and 'choose folder.....'. How can I make the folder location 'stick' in the 10 other folders section? Where do these 10 folations come from?

All I can find is 'Preferences - allows you to change the Camera Raw preferences'. There must be a reason for having a preferences dialogue icon/window in Camera Raw, the button is right up there next to the rotate buttons.

(i.e. , "Save", "Cancel", "Don't Save").  "Save" is the default, but I have to grab the mouse if I want to select "Don't Save".Â

"Tab" will work in other apps--but not Photoshop.
With Mac OS10.6.8, Photoshop CS4, and Epson 2880, the correct media profile is not available in the print dialogue box. I have matte black ink installed in the printer, but get only glossy paper options available for media type in the print dialogue.

Even Photoshop sees them in the Apply Profile and Convert to Profile dialogues: just not when trying to print.
The soft-proof of an image in CS6 gives a very good rendering based on a given paper profile for my printer. However subsequently, with proper settings in the Print Settings dialogue box, the image represented often has colors that are far from the earlier soft-proof rendering and are thoroughly inaccurate.
The image prints correctly, having no resemblance to the image appearing in the dialogue box, but coming quite close to the soft-proof simulation. Is something amiss? On a system running Mac OS 10.8.
I'm running PSE 8 on an iMac. Is there a way to change the default dialogue / value windows to white or transparent? I'm also seeking a plug in to enable Channel manipulation in PSE. Many degraded graphics arise from problems in the green or blue channel which compromises the final RGB image.

Everything has been working fine but I have recently installed two new extension panels - Fundy Image Brander and Tych Panel. When either of these scripts require you to input a file to open via the Open File dialogue box, everything hangs for 2-3 minutes. The mouse and keyboard do not lock and you can open up other windows which work fine. The open file dialogue just hangs (not just on selecting an individual image but selecting a drive or folder). If you call up the Task Manager and End Photoshop as a task a dialogue box pops up with the message "The system cannot end this program because it is waiting for a response from you."

Photoshop otherwise works well. It's just when the extension panel requires you to input a file to open.
This is the second time in a week this has happened. Was able to repair it the first time by changing the name MediaDatabase.db3 to MediaDatabase.oldÂ

I work on a file maybe for 10 minutes to 1 hour and when I save a file with command s photoshop does nothing. it will not save until i make any change that registers in the history and then it does save.Â

Even weirder photohop will close the file as though it had been saved giving no warning box with the "file has been changed, would you like to save?" message.

This has lead to me constantly saving things and double checking if files are saved, it has also lead to me missing a file from time to time and having to redo hour of work. The issue started happening when I recently reformatted and reinstalled all my software.
I am creating an image of 150mm x 100mm at 300dpi but photoshop keeps adding decimal points like 150.02 when i change the image from the original size, is it something I am doing wrong or a known bug? You would expect that when you change an image to 150 x 100mm it would stay at that size and not be added to.

Got out of the loop by mashing the ESC button as I switched back to PS, which successfully killed the Channel Mixer dialogue.I've seen this behavior in PS for about 4 versions now, but never this severe. How dysfunctional.
AutoCAD LT crashes without any dialogue box, in a matter of seconds. This has happened to a whole set of drawings. I have purged, audited, recovered all and copied all the drawing documentation into a new drawing file and it still occurs.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm using AutoCAD 2012 and when I try and start the 'ARRAY' command I do not get the popup dialogue box like in earlier versions. I remember recently having the same issue with the HATCH command, but this was solved by altering the 'HPDLGMODE' setting. I've looked for a similar setting for ARRAY but so far come up with nothing.
Any settings that will revive this dialogue box?
Autocad used to perform the LOFT command partially in the COMMAND LINE and additional properties could be setted in the DIALOGUE BOX.
I used to draw my lofted elements :
1. Pick sections in order
2. Following Guide, Path,...
3. Dialogue box ( sections smooth fit, ruled, normal to,...)
4. Volume was drawn.
Nowdays it's a bit more extended but in step 2 when u pick a path the volume is drawn immediately and I can't append additional properties like in step 3.
