View 2 RepliesResizing objects is a mess in CorelDRAW X6 when objects are outlined with Scale With Object enabled to retain proportions after resizing.
None of the tools dealing with outlines (e.g. Contour or even Outline itself) continue to work properly after resizing the object.
I strongly suggest to recalculate outline property values after resizing if Scale With Object is checked. Don't just do it hidden somewhere internally in the object model by applying a temporary scaling factor. Instead actually recalculate the actual property values if Scale With Object is checked.

I have a rounded rectangle and an object on top of it -- how do I make it so that the parts of the object outside of the rounded rectangle are hidden?

I don't know what's wrong with the outline that I get this result.
I use this combo all the time for getting the fill I want from another object.
Is there a combo for getting the outline from another object?
What i like about this is you don't have to deselect the target object as in Right Click and Drag.
How do I put a nice black outline or border around a single object? using the glow from shadow tool but that ends up as a very jagged outline.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have Designer Pro 7. Is there a way to get the outline of an object to take on the graduated fill transparency of an object? The line goes transparent with the object's fill when a linear transparency is applied, but remains opaque with a graduated one. I understand that I could turn the outline into an object and then apply the transparency but if I have to edit the object later, I would have to repeat the process.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am new to Illustrator and use CorelDraw for a couple of years. I wanted to the know the equivalent to transforming a stroke into an object in Illustrator and how to create a contour outline around an object to be able to break it away to create its very own object?
View 10 Replies View RelatedUsing CS5. I have a solid shape with a hollowed center (see far left image). I applied a transform effect to make it look "3D" by offsetting it slightly 32 times (see middle image. see far right image to see what it looks like selected). I want to simply have the middle image, but without all the paths and lines - I just I want it outlined. I tried to expand it, group it, pathfinder-add - nothing seems to work.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI have a 100mm x 100mm grid set up with 10mm divisions. I draw a box 100mm x 100mm and snap to the grid. I then put a stroke of 1mm on the box and want to resize to 120mm x 120mm. The box will not snap to the grid accurately because the box is now 118.811mm and does not know whether to snap to the top or bottom of the box. This makes for horrendous mistakes in my artwork. I need to view the size of the box as 120mm x 120mm irrespective of the stroke width. I'm on CS5.5 but have CS6 here and will install it if it's the only way to solve it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI use Corel Draw X6.4 on a 64-bit Windows 7 PC, but since the first installation of Corel Draw X6 I have following problem:
I use millimeters as metric scale and when I create any object, the object manager states that the outline width of that object is set to 2 mm, but it is obvious that the width is only 0.2 mm. Now if I try to change the outline width to 1 mm, Corel draws the outline with a width of 10 mm instead and the object manager says that the width is even 100 mm. To solve that problem I always have pressed the Undo-button, so the width changes to the desired 1 mm but the object manager still tells me that the width is 10 mm.
I am using Coreldraw 6X on a trial basis ( my previous cad is all mechanical/ 3D based such as autocad and 123D). I have a problem with an object which is basically an outline of an animal in CDR format, and cannot find a way to fill in the outline areas.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI wish to have outline/surface of those nonsolid 3D object convert or projection into 2D lines that can be use later.
For solid object, its can be projecting the surface by FLATSHOT command. But for nonsolid object, this command is doesn't work and showing nothing when I tried.
These nonsolid object probably copy/export from other software ie. some analysis software.
How do you color the outline of a closed object in different colors in Draw . I have a green triangle which is part of a witches hat....... I have colored the outline in the same green as the fill but I would like to keep the bottom line (curved) black to define it against the hat brim. Is there a way to keep this line black when I make the others green......otherwise I have to draw it in again.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am using Corel Draw X3 on windows XP
I have clicked something which has removed the fill and outline properties of an object which appeared at the bottom task bar.
A little paint bucket told me the fill color and a pen told me the outline properties.
How can I get the same effect as this without trying to convert outline to object, Corel freezes up trying to do it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedCurrently self teaching myself using 3D on a current project I'm working on. A cable stayed bridge having a span of 30 metres supported primarily by a single diagonal parabolic arch. The arch is square in section but rotated so it looks like a diamond along the arch length. To draw the arch I have drawn the arch sections at intervals along the centreline where it changes size in section 1.4, 1.2, 1.1 and 1.0m. I have then used the loft command to draw the arch using the drawn sections as the objects to loft through.
For the GA drawing I have a plan view and elevation. When printing the generated/ lofted lines are are pixelated and not very crisp or clear (not a solid line).
I have tried adjusting the visual style and shade plot, for each of the options and none of them are giving me a solid crisp outline for the generated arch. I have also had a little play using the visual styles manager but nothing seems to work and also tried maximum quality in the print options.
What do I need to do to print a solid crisp outline for the outline of the arch please, are you able to select the edges of the square and convert them to solid 2d/ 3d lines.

I still use Corel Draw 12 and my question is is there an easy or automatic way to make the outline color of an object the same color as the fill color? I do it the hard way of trial and error until I get the right outline color from the color dock/pallette.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a black-and-white outline drawing that I want to color in using the "Bucket Fill" tool. There are two things I'd like to do to make it easier:
1. Is there a way to prevent Bucket Fill from leaking through small gaps in the drawing? Usually what happens is, I fill in one region, and then suddenly a much larger region gets filled in. I then have to examine the borders of the region for a small opening, close the gap with black, and then try again. Is there a feature that lets me say e.g. "Don't fill through gaps less than 4 pixels wide"?
2. Once I'm done coloring, I want to remove the black outline to make a more realistic, less cartoony image. However, it's tedious to go and paint over every segment of the outline with the color of its adjoining regions. What I want to do is essentially: Replace every black pixel in the image with the color of the closest non-black pixel. Is there a feature that does this?
Also, if there are third-party plugins that do these things, that would work just as well.
I put a picture in a background I made, but the picture of the person looks like the cut is bad and the cut looks bad because it's very sharp what do I do to change that?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a custom 'text' image - that is, some text that has had a bunch of effects applied to them. One noticeable effect is the wind, which is white (working from a black background).
Now the project I am working on this for has a mostly white background, so I want to have a thin outline of black around the edges of the image (e.g. around the wind effect). Is there an easy way to do this or any way at all (using Photoshop CS6, if it makes a difference)?
hey guys, could any one help me please. I been trying to get the outline as in the above image, but i just cant get it right. I tried adding a Stroke, but every time i get smooth edges, instead of getting them like the above image. Is there a way how to get the outline around the numbers to look exactly the same?
