how to process the photo of my friend's face to match the style of the poster. I've been experimenting with different textures and color techniques in photoshop, but I just can't seem to get it quite right.

Attached is a picture of a Casablanca movie poster, my wife's favorite movie. I'm hoping to insert our faces, yet not quite sure how to really make it seamless. I played with filters, colorizing, hue, adding noise, etc.

recently I had to find a hi-res grungy old style Movie Ticket stub but couldn't find anything on Google Images and stock photos were too expensive so I decided to bite the bullet and design one from scratch... what do you think?

How do I add a photo to a layer for a poster I am creating?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have recently, and reluctantly, purchased LT2012 and have learned to hate it with an unbridled passion. I have a client that uses Acad R14dwg still and when I open their dwg files the multileader style is set to some arbitrary "standard" instead of matching the existing dimstyle of "3-16 Letters" that the file was created with. When editing old files it makes it silly to add a leader and have to create a new multileader style with every single dwg I open. Can it be done once and never be done again for all subsequent dwg files regardless of when they were created? Can it be 'matched' to an existing leader that was created years ago?
For that matter, why did Autodesk pull some dimension leaders OUT of the dimstyle options at all? All dwg files are ONLY in model space, they never use layout or paper space, but that's another topic.

I am new to CorelDraw and am not yet confident to set up the page.
I am trying to animate a small thing. A smiley face which bounces up and down. I have set it all up etc. but when I preview nothing happens. On the right hand side, in the movie docker, it shows the correct frames, (all 6 of them).
In the main window, when I click through the 6 frames, they are all frame 1. And when I press play, nothing happens (it says processing in the bottom corner, and keeps filling up the bar and starting again (assuming it is playing, but playing the same frame repeatedly?)
Not sure what to do with it? When I saved it, and opened the file, it kind of worked, all though frame one stayed there throughout the animation, the others did appear and do their thing, just behind frame one.
I'd like each side of the perspective grid to match the two different angles that are the sides of this building. I'm trying to get something done using it and have never used it before.

I double click on <Set Layer style on current layer> and change to a new Layer Style for my Watermark Text. The <Contour> is Linear. The Actions panel turns red during editing.But when I run > Automate > Batch and select that edited Action, the <Layer Style> screen pops-up for each photo and the only way to finish the batch of photos is to click <OK> for each photo. I’m using Photoshop CS5. I have refresh Photoshop, restart my laptop but the problem remains.
I did another copy of the original Action and just changed the value in <Text Layer> and it works in the Batch processing. This problem only happens when I changed the value in the <Layer Style>.
I'm working on a poster for a production of Julius Caesar and I'm trying to create a propaganda poster very similar to the one below. Any ideas on how to turn a regular photograph into a style similar to the one of Lenin? I'll try and post the picture I'm working with as well as the example poster. I've tried posterizing and blurring and colorizing but I can't quite get the yellowy tint as well as the kind of dotted shadows seen in the picture.

Also when I try to add a image with "place" to make it a smart object I have the same problem. If I flatten the image to add text then I can't save the file as a template.

I am asked to do a large print of an A1 size poster which is 840mm x594mm,so would it be wiser to half those dimensions given,or even 1/4 of that size in order to avoid my maching going slow? would the printer still understand how hes meant to go about,if i specify the actual dimensions?
