View 1 RepliesI've looked around and haven't found a "how to" on how to make a simple photo into a large poster 3' x 4' or larger. I know there must be an easy way to do this.
There is a nice site called "blockposters" but they have a 1 meg limit on file size. So a large poster would be very bitmaped. I figure I can take 8 meg pictures of my kids or an activity in school and really blow it up.
I also want to be able to pick the print size of each panel 3 x 4 up to 8 x 11.

View 1 Replies View RelatedUsing PSPPX3 Ultimate.
The idea is probably a graphic design idea. I think PSPPX3 can do it though.
What I want to do is create something like a flyer or poster. So if it was physically I would have some poster board or a large sheet or paper, then I would arrange images and tape or glue them to it. Then scan and print off any copies if I needed them.
In software I think I want to be able to create a background and be able to enlarge it or shrink it down as I need to. Then start applying images and resize or reshape them on this "virtual canvas" or outside of the "virtual canvas" and bring them into the "virtual canvas".
Can this program do it, or do I need something like CorelDraw?
I'm working with a plugin that I need to edit the source code so it can run in NONINTERACTIVE mode. I have no problem compiling it from source - in fact have modified to suit our needs already - but cannot not grasp from GIMP documentation what modifications I need to make it run in NONINTERACTIVE mode. (We have very large images, need to batch process them ....)
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm working on a poster for a production of Julius Caesar and I'm trying to create a propaganda poster very similar to the one below. Any ideas on how to turn a regular photograph into a style similar to the one of Lenin? I'll try and post the picture I'm working with as well as the example poster. I've tried posterizing and blurring and colorizing but I can't quite get the yellowy tint as well as the kind of dotted shadows seen in the picture.
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy designers are rendering images in FormZ (CAD program). Form Z has no way to directly output an interactive PDF where you can see a 360 degree view.
FormZ support and lots of info I googled tell me to run it thru PS Extended 3D. It seems that PS CS6 removed the .u3d export function so it does not seem to work. I've tried to go back to CS5.1 but that brings the CAD file in as a smart object and loses the interactive function.
Is there a path thru for either 5.1 or 6? Bottom line is we have the CAD 3D/360 files. We want an interactive PDF where our customers can get that 360 view.

I am having trouble adding text to a poster where I have dropped in an image and added a border. The only way I can add text is to flatten the image then add text. Also when I try to add a image with "place" to make it a smart object I have the same problem. If I flatten the image to add text then I can't save the file as a template.

I'm looking for that effect of torn paper.
I am thinking of becoming an artist who uses photoshop but the problem is that my hands get cramped being on the computer too much. I was thinking of creating my own interactive whiteboard like Johnny Lee did with the Wiimote. But I don't know if it will work well i.e. will the IR pens not be enough for me to use because with a keyboard I will have ctrl alt and other function buttons.
View 1 Replies View Relatedcs3 had this option when creating a photomerge that made it so much easier to combine several photos when cs3 got lost in trying to merge.
I looked and looked in cs4 for the interactive command, so much simpler than grabbing the eraser and opacity, but I could not find the interactive addition for photomerge. Has it been moved or what ? IIRC in cs3 it was interactive from bridge..
Here's a Halloween Poster I quickly designed yesterday using a public domain stock photo. It's a generic Poster Template. It's designed at 11x17 300dpi with 0.125 bleeds.
You can download and customize the poster here:

I am asked to do a large print of an A1 size poster which is 840mm x594mm,so would it be wiser to half those dimensions given,or even 1/4 of that size in order to avoid my maching going slow? would the printer still understand how hes meant to go about,if i specify the actual dimensions?

View 1 Replies View RelatedLook at this picture, it's a still from the TV series Dexter, and season 1 and 2 of Dexter are somewhat sacred to me as far as cinema goes. The image is taken from season 2, where a love interest of Dexter creates a painting that totally embodies his character. It would be amazing to have it printed and mounted in my entertainment room!
The image is quite raw, and I have such little experience with any kind of photo editing that I wouldn't have any clue what would need to be done to improve the quality or resolution for a decent sized poster, but Any kind of artistic flair is totally welcome as long as the essence of the image/character remain.
Without further ado, the screencap:
