Dec 4, 2004i want to change a normal picture to look like the poster for american history x...any tips? i tried photocopy filter but it looked like crap, not grainy enough.

but the guy in question is white, and it stays that way, a quick how to will do ?
Photoshop :: Couldn't Use History Brush Because History State Doesn't Have A Corresponding Layer
Aug 20, 2013I am trying to learn layers and layer masks. I loaded an image, than control J to duplicate it. I then added a layer mask. Everything good so far. I then went to filters chose a blur. Then went to brushes with black as my foreground color, I just wanted to brush away the blur, and got an error message. "could not use the history brush because the history state does not have a corresponding layer."

Mar 24, 2013Everytime I try to use my history brush, that error pops up and I have no clue why. If I try to just open a blank document and use the brush it does not give me this error and I can "use" the brush but you cant see anything on the project.
so when this error happens im trying to do a project and say I place a file(picture) into the project and this is the very first thing I do. I place it, then I size the image down some. I then make a new layer to use the brush for behind the picture and then this is when I get the error. I have no clue what is wrong

Jun 24, 2004I use photoshop 7.0, and got a custom font somehwere along the line itc american typewriter... not sure if it came with a plugin or what. I don't see it in the windows font folder, and can't seem to find it. I really need to keep this font to reinstall it when I reinstall photoshop, since it's used in one of my sites..

Jan 6, 2014I tried using printing picture packages in PSE 12.0 on a MacBook Pro 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7 with Mac OS X 10.9.1. After selecting the menu command file-->picture package ..., in the appearing dialogue I can only see American page formats in inches. How can I switch to German formats like DIN A4 in centimeters? I tried "Adjust page ..." (don't know the exact English menu command translation for "Seite einrichten ..."), there the German format "A4" is correctly selected.

Jan 31, 2007I'm working on a poster for a production of Julius Caesar and I'm trying to create a propaganda poster very similar to the one below. Any ideas on how to turn a regular photograph into a style similar to the one of Lenin? I'll try and post the picture I'm working with as well as the example poster. I've tried posterizing and blurring and colorizing but I can't quite get the yellowy tint as well as the kind of dotted shadows seen in the picture.

Photoshop :: Text For Poster
Feb 17, 2008I am having trouble adding text to a poster where I have dropped in an image and added a border. The only way I can add text is to flatten the image then add text. Also when I try to add a image with "place" to make it a smart object I have the same problem. If I flatten the image to add text then I can't save the file as a template.

Oct 10, 2012I am asked to do a large print of an A1 size poster which is 840mm x594mm,so would it be wiser to half those dimensions given,or even 1/4 of that size in order to avoid my maching going slow? would the printer still understand how hes meant to go about,if i specify the actual dimensions?

Nov 28, 2013Look at this picture, it's a still from the TV series Dexter, and season 1 and 2 of Dexter are somewhat sacred to me as far as cinema goes. The image is taken from season 2, where a love interest of Dexter creates a painting that totally embodies his character. It would be amazing to have it printed and mounted in my entertainment room!
The image is quite raw, and I have such little experience with any kind of photo editing that I wouldn't have any clue what would need to be done to improve the quality or resolution for a decent sized poster, but Any kind of artistic flair is totally welcome as long as the essence of the image/character remain.
