Photoshop :: Making Images White
Jul 20, 2012
I organize a gaming event several times a year. We get sponsors for every event and put their logos on t-shirts. Because of the color though, making dark t-shirts has been kind of out of our price range.
My question:
Is there an easy way to convert images to white? If we could convert our sponsor logos to white somehow, it would allow us to buy black shirts. Here's an example of a couple logos I need to make white: [URL] .... (quixby, corsair, coolermaster, sapphire).

I am in the process of completing my Photographic website and need to make thumbnail and larger sizes for the the site. The site will have approximately 100 images on it. Clicking the thumbnails will connect to the larger images. How do I make both sizes in PS CS? Perhaps their is a generator that you would recommend for Mac 10.2?

I have an image of a girl on a white background. I need to remove the white background perfectly, so that her image is on top of a teal one. I tried masking and using the magic wand tool and deleteing, but she has all this hair. Is there a quick way to make the background transparent, so that the white just disapears?

I have a picture of a red velour colored recliner type chair that i want to make white instead of red. I've been messing with the hue/saturation but cant really get it. The thing is that there are parts of the picture where the velvet texture is naturally darker than the rest of the spots, and to keep the chair looking real and 3d, they have to stay a darker color than the white color I want to make it. but when i use the hue options, it just lightens everything on the chair.

I have product shots that require me to get a perfect white background whilst retaining the hair outline of the product. I have look at curves and levels but can't seem to get the right masking or layers that keeps the products properties. The main problem i think is because the product itself is a light colour against a background of what should be white.

I have an image of a dog that I'm editing. I took the photo in a studio with a white backdrop. I want to remove a shadow that is behind the dog so the whole background is white. I do not want to lose the detail in the fur of the dog. I've tried doing a mask layer with making the background white. I've also tried the dodge tool. I've tried the selection tool but it look out?

I have a picture that I would like to make black and white but with some colour. From what I can gather, I've to make the picture black and white and then add the colour to the bits I need after, however, the bit I want to remain in colour is a flower and the way the light hits it, the red is in different shades, making it impossible for me to colour it back exactly how it is.
Is there a simpler way...like select the parts I want to go black and white?

I wanted to make a decal to place on the acrylic window of my PC. I found the perfect picture, which is in black and white. For it to look right though, I need to switch the black to white, and vice versa. Is there a way with Photoshop to automatically switch these, instead of having to manually switch them.

I am having some trouble clearing out the backgrounds of certain images. I'm taking images and want to quickly delete out any pixels not on the product I'm shooting (make all pixels white). Once I have my selection I go to "Edit" and then "Clear". Instead of making the selection white, it makes the entire selection black.

I made a logo using elements. I have tried numerous ways to make it transparent but when I put it on my pictures there is a white square box that appears with it. I want my whole logo to be transparent. I have saved it png, png 24. And still nothing works. How to get this box to disappear. Just to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong I took a photo and made the background transparent and took the selection that was not and put it into a different photo and the white square edge was still around it.

I started trying to mess around on paint.net trying to make a new background. I have the start of my design but it is all on top of white and that ruins it. Is there a way that I can either make the white transparent or change it all to a different color? It is the only white in the whole picture, but it is divided up into a bunch of places.

I am currently running Gimp 2.8 and am a new user. How to make an image's background white. I have a watercolor painting that I have scanned into my computer, however you can see some shadows from the grain and edges of the paper. I have tried some different ways to change the background completely to white, but I feel like maybe I'm missing out on a quicker method. So far, the one I've been working on is taking me longer than it took to even draw and paint the picture in the first place. That method was to use the fuzzy (lasso) tool, make a rough outline of my painting, use the quick mask button in the bottom left hand corner and follow up by using the pencil tool to make a more precise line around the image.
Another tutorial I found showed I should use the Select by color tool, select an area that should be white in my image and press Ctrl+x. However, when I pushed ctrl+x, I saw no change in my background and my image remained outlined in the shifting lines that the select by color tool causes.
Is there a way to achieve a plain white background with out going through the long process of tracing around the detailed image?
It should be noted that I'm not hugely familiar with Gimp as I've only used it a couple of times with tutorials. So, the more basic you can describe something, the better. I am also running Windows 7.

I'm using Premiere Pro CC on Windows 7. I previously was able to import and edit clips via exactly the same workflow - but now, not matter what clips I import, they all appear as the 'white screen'. The thumbnail is a frame of the video, but as soon as I mouse over, scrub, or try to play the clip, it turns totally white. Audio will play fine though.
Â
I'm almost positive it has to do with using an AOC display that plugs in via USB. This is based on a similar issue I had using that display on a Mac and having part of a Blackmagic Design software UI not appear while using that screen.Â
Â
I've tried lots of things, including updating the driver for my graphics card, from the manufacturer's site. I can try - especially a way to undo whatever was done when I plugged in that USB display (worked without manually installing any drivers).

I'm not sure if you can do this but if any of you have seen the Itunes Color Effects app, I'm wondering if there is a way to keep color in one part of a photo while making the rest B&W? I know how to make it B&W & I can't get it to work with the paint bucket or anything like that.

I followed a tutorial on how to make abstract images using abstract brushes. One of the attachments is from the tutorial. The other is my result.(you will know which is whose; I used the same brush)
There must be some brush settings I need to adjust, but the tutorial doesn't say anything about them. What am I doing wrong here?(messing with shape dynamics and scattering produced a better result, but it was too bright and still looked terrible.)

I am trying to make a web photo album in PS CS and am using the automatic feature that's built in. In that feature window, there is an option to add a custom text "tag" to the images to deter copying by others. I type in the text I want and complete everything there, however, when I click OK and make the album, it does not add the "tag"....when the images 'pop' up in PS as it goes through them all and creates the album, you can see that it adds the tag, but when the album is complete, NO TAG

I tried to make an image that, when printed, would take up the entire sheet of paper (having removed the margins in the printing properties), but I seem to have failed.
I made the image 8.5 x 11 inches, but when I printed a test at that size it came out too small... is there a % bigger that I need to make the image to fit, or did I go wrong somewhere else?

The problem is that he wants the images to dissolve into the background and the person who has done is has saved them as JPEGS instead of PNG files meaning that instead of being able to dissolve into the background it dissolves into white within the image (the background isn't white!)
Â
I've never come across this before and he hasn't got the original files. How to get rid of the white so it will dissolve into nothing or change the white into the colour i need?

I need to create a header for my blog, which I've done and uploaded it here; testertown.blogspot.com (it's just to design the template before uploading). In the Photoshop window it comes up brilliant white background, brilliant colors.
But when I upload it it's like it has a grey haze over it? I'm using Photoshop 9, and have never had any trouble before, I got rid of the blog template I've been using to see if it's being caused by that but no luck. I've tried uploading the image to photo bucket and then inserting it like that, still the same.
Â
I've tried using a transparent background, upping the contrast and brightness of the whole image, starting with a white background in all of the available options: CMYK, Lab, RGB.
Â
I've created a blog header before and it's come out white, with no problems or altering. I have downloaded fonts which I'm using as the header, but the whole image is grey, not just the font area.

What I want to do is cut part of a photo out and place it onto another background.
I have been trying to do this by: using the magic wand tool to cut out the background of the image I want to move. Then I save that as a .png file. I then open the image I want to use as a background and (after copying the .png image,) I paste the .png image on top of the background.
At this point, one of two things happens: I either get the first image on there with lots of backgrounds showing through faces, etc; or I get the image pasted onto the background but I get the box with the little grey squares and I cannot see the background through that. I have tried playing with the transparency of the background, but then it still blends through the original images.
I've got all these great digital backgrounds that came with my studio set up and danged if I've been able to use a single one. (I don't have photo shop because its above my head and I really don't have the extra cash for it right now.)
