May 20, 2013Where can we find documentation or tutorials on the River Analysis package as it is with IDSU 2014?
We are in the middle of a few projects using BOSS's RiverCAD but with the new 2014 License files we can no longer use the AutoCAD 2010 that ran with RiverCAD.
So, I'm scrambling to get my user up and running with River Analysis and how (if possible) to port our RiverCAD projects to River Analysis with as little pain as possible.
I have to admit, I don't use RiverCAD and have not yet installed IDSU 2014. (I'm making the deployment now).
I'd really like to ditch having to support AutoCAD 2010 and RiverCAD....

Aug 30, 2013I am trying yo model river corridor with 4 locks on it. On every locks different between levels is about 2-3m. I it is possible to create profile perependicular to bottom of river. How to create it?
Another question how to later connect surface. I mean Existing ground and corridor intersect. Ho to prepare later for render Existing ground with cutted corridor river? where I am below EG.

Sep 4, 2012Is there an easy way to create a tin surface from 3d polylines that are generated by actual measurements of a river/ditch or imported from Hec-Ras (River Analysis -extension)?
The problem seems to be that the triangles should be long and narrow (like the ditch bottom in the example) instead of normal triangles the triangulation method normally generates. (The triangles in the example are generated by 3dwin -program).
When using Hec-Ras one way to go around this problem is to interpolate sections (XS:s) with very short distance. Hec-Ras does the interpolation very well, but I would like to have a better solution without tricks with other programs. Also in the long rivers the result is a very large file.

May 11, 2012I created a 2d drawing of a river I am building and constructed a centerline. I already have a surface of the existing ground created from which i created an alignment of the centerline and created a profile showing the existing grade along the centerline. Then I created another alignment on the same profile which shows the bottom of my river that I want. I now want to calculate the cut and fill of my project but don't know how. Is there a way I can create a surface of my river from my profile? Or what process do I follow to apply my centerline profile to my 2d river.

Jul 27, 2013I have the River Analysis tools installed for C3D 2014 and any time I open a drawing, a reach is automatically created in the file. This is really annoying because it puts it down at the coordinates (0,-500) which pretty much makes zoom extents a useless command now.
Is this as designed? If it is as designed, how to turn it off?

Jun 18, 2013Since Installing Photoshop CC, I selected Adobe Exchange. When I did I got a dialog saying "ExManCmd wants to make changes". It worries me that I cannot dismiss this dialog without entering a password.
If I click cancel, it just pops up again. Since this is so obliquely named and is a persistant password request, I am not giving permision even though it may be Adobe Software. What is it? Why won't it go away when I click on Cancel?
