It was a bit of a surprise to find that none of my 32-bit plugins would work with Photoshop CS4 x64. Most seem to work fine in the 32-bit version of PS though. Is there a way to make the 32-bit version launch by default from Bridge or when opening a PSD file instead of the 64-bit version?

View 6 Replies View Related have most versions of PS but I prefer CS4. I am a photographer. Forever CS4 was the default when opening photos. Something happened yesterday and now when I double click on a photo to open it it opens but not in CS4. Not sure what version it's opening in. But I want it to open in 4.
I can right click each and every time to open in 4 but I open tons of photos all day long and that takes too long. How can I again make it so that CS4 is the default?
Windows 7 64 bit.Worked fine until a couple of days ago. Now suddenly the only way I can open files in CC instead of CS6 Extended is if I open PS CC through the icon I had on the taskbar and then use File Open.
When I try to set the file types to open in PS CC, the CC icon no longer appears on the list and if I browse to it and click on the exe file, it opens CS6 instead. Windows Explorer seems to not know it's there and treats it as PS CS6.
I have no idea if there was an update that started this as the CC control panel keeps resetting and I loose the history on it.Minor, but it adds maybe 30 minutes a day which is a problem. I need CS6 installed for the Plug-Ins I use so I can't remove it yet. I'd consider this a meaningful bug.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI had to reload my CS software and have not been able to use CS3 as the default vile viewer. Now CS is loaded when using the "open" and CS only appears in the "open with list".
Obviously I would prefer all Photoshop programes (PS6, 7, etc) to be available, but will settle for the latest (CS3) to open my images. It would seem that because I reloaded CS the OS sees this as the default imagefile viewer. Have not been able to find an answer in the forum replies or FAQ's.

I know how to set defaults on a PC but the program does not even come up on the list of defaults. I've tried right-click on image and "open with" but no PSE12. If I use Browse and follow the path Program Files (x86)/Adobe/PSE12/PSE Editor.exe, there is no exe file, only the application. If I select PSE Editor, it does not make it the default.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just bought Adobe Elements Photshop and Premier 11. I spent 2 to 3 hours getting my picture video library into Adobe's organizer. I had some problems with duplicate picture (that I wanted to be there - so I had to rename them) and a couple pictures with corrupted metadata. After I got all that sorted out I am a bit miffed about the folder view on Adob'es organizer.
I love that you can switch to folder view - since this is how I have been organizing my pictures for a long time. I would like to continue organizing this way for now until I get a grasp on the other ways I can organize them in elements. However, every time I close and re-open organizer it switches back to the default view instead of folder view. there is a way to set folder view to the default view!
After using Elements 12 for a months trial and then uninstalling it, I can no longer find Elements 9 listed when I right click on a picture file and select "open with". How can I restore it to my list of programs with which I can open the file. I'm using Windows 8 which list aps and some other programs but not Elements 9.

is this possible to make it default for the all the documents of coreldraw something like gray tone despite of white. option existed in the options command but i have to go and has to choose the color. Its not like that, at once by default that white color is changed to the gray tint.

Is there any way I can make every drawings ALWAYS print in monochrome?
I'm getting really tired of having to set it to monochrome every time I plot something. Or even worse, printing 10 copies of something and THEN noticing i forgot to set it monochrome (just happened). I will never NOT want to plot in monochrome.
I've only used it for a few months and yes i LOVE it i even use it for assessments. but is there a way to set the a4 canvas size to my default because it really bugs me that i need to change it when i realize my images are too big.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Canon 60D, and it has all the different color profiles such as Landscape, Portrait, Standard, Faithful, etc. I noticed that the pictures I took look amazing in the camera's monitor, but when imported into Lightroom they looked kind of washed out, the colors were not as vibrant and the contrast was a bit flat. But rencently I discovered that in the Develop module there's an option for Profile, which by default is set to Adobe Standard, but it's a drop down list that also has all the camera's profiles, and once I select the one I used when taking that photo, it looks excellent, very similar to what I see in the camera.
It's not a terrible deal to apply it to one, then copy settings, go to grid, select all the photos taken with the same profile and then paste settings, but is there a way that Lightroom (4.2) can import the profile that was used for the photo and also apply it, instead of using Adobe standard by default?
When I try to make LR the default program for these files (left-clicking> set default program> browse> select LR), it is like it doesn't go through. LR still does not show up as the default program. I have been using LR for awhile now and loved it until this odd glitch. Is there a way to uninstall the last update?

I’ve been using PAINT.NET, for a long time now.Today, I’ve created an account in the Forum, because I would like to ask, if possible and desirable for the Developers and the program Users, the following:
- make the default Tool - Rectangle Select;
- make the default save file type - JPEG (*.jpg;*.jpeg;*.jpe;*.jfif);
- allow the users to change the default workspace background color (now, Hex: #C9D3E2);
I have read the Rules and the FAQ.To finish I just would like to congratulate all of you, that have given us this fantastic piece of software (and for free)!
I believe it’s the best freeware software available, counting all types for software/utilities/add-ons, etc.
