View 6 RepliesAny way to set a default zoom percentage value in Photoshop CS6?
I would like to set this to 31.5%.
A bit of a strange value I know, but I've found that this value gives me an image on the screen that is the same size as what I get out of the printer.
It would be great if I could do this, as it's a bit of a bind having to type in 31.5 over and over again in the Navigator.
i'm running lightroom 3.6 (is the last v3 version?) under w7
i would like to have zoom in fill mode or 1/3
is there a way to edit the preference to have lightroom load in develop mode or library mode and use the fill mode or the 1/3?
Is it possible to change the default black background color in customize pan and zoom?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI like to use non-default zoom options like 35% and 75%, but I can't use them both at the same time, and whichever one I'm using disappears every time I open a new image or restart the program. It would be nice if the zoom was controlled by a vertical slider that can go to any number between 1 and 800, or at least 1-100.

I would like to create a certain zoom effect, but I can't get it done. I'm working with graffiti photo's. I want to show a wall with several different pieces on it. After a few seconds, a photo showing just one of those pieces appears in an overlay. It is placed at the same spot where its background-twin is located and its resized to match its appearance. That small overlay now has to grow in size so it eventually fits the entire screen. It is however important that, during this 'zoom effect', the background photo remains visible.
I have tried to work with the Picture-in-Picture effect from NewBlue, which sounded like the solution. I managed to get the entire thing done, except for making the background visible during the effect. The resized overlay picture is surrounded by a black screen that covers the background photo and I can't figure out how to make that black surface transparent. It ís possible to make the entire overlay transparent, but that also affects the black color in the photo, which obviously messes it up.
With the combination of tiny font size and the inability to set the contrast of the text and background, this batcave thing makes the interface text almost totally illegible on a glossy 27" monitor.
I am constantly having to use hardware zoom to make out the controls. Productivity is way, way down and eyestrain induced headaches are way, way up.This shows a huge disconnect on the part of Adobe.
If every user was on a 17" non-reflective screen in a darkened environment and dressed like a ninja, I guess this would work. It sure doesn't work in the real world.
I can't wait a year for the penny to drop. I have work to do today - and a ton of it. A year ago, before the Helen Keller interface change with Adobe apps I could get things done.
For example, the photo lables in the library: text: 89% backbround: 77% - a difference of only 12%! Twelve percent? When you overlay this with a reflection of around 30% white, it is impossible to make things out.
I've found this awesome Tate's site today about the "lost art":

You can navigate it with pan&zoom, like the Moma Museum in its own app.Is it possibile to make the pan&zoom navigation with Adobe Edge and/or with Adobe Edge and external JS libraries?
Is there a setting or variable that I can change so that when I have UCSFOLLOW set to 1 it doesn't zoom extents everytime my UCS changes?

View 2 Replies View RelatedIt was a bit of a surprise to find that none of my 32-bit plugins would work with Photoshop CS4 x64. Most seem to work fine in the 32-bit version of PS though. Is there a way to make the 32-bit version launch by default from Bridge or when opening a PSD file instead of the 64-bit version?

View 9 Replies View Related have most versions of PS but I prefer CS4. I am a photographer. Forever CS4 was the default when opening photos. Something happened yesterday and now when I double click on a photo to open it it opens but not in CS4. Not sure what version it's opening in. But I want it to open in 4.
I can right click each and every time to open in 4 but I open tons of photos all day long and that takes too long. How can I again make it so that CS4 is the default?
Windows 7 64 bit.Worked fine until a couple of days ago. Now suddenly the only way I can open files in CC instead of CS6 Extended is if I open PS CC through the icon I had on the taskbar and then use File Open.
When I try to set the file types to open in PS CC, the CC icon no longer appears on the list and if I browse to it and click on the exe file, it opens CS6 instead. Windows Explorer seems to not know it's there and treats it as PS CS6.
I have no idea if there was an update that started this as the CC control panel keeps resetting and I loose the history on it.Minor, but it adds maybe 30 minutes a day which is a problem. I need CS6 installed for the Plug-Ins I use so I can't remove it yet. I'd consider this a meaningful bug.
how do you make ps6 the default program
View 6 Replies View RelatedI had to reload my CS software and have not been able to use CS3 as the default vile viewer. Now CS is loaded when using the "open" and CS only appears in the "open with list".
Obviously I would prefer all Photoshop programes (PS6, 7, etc) to be available, but will settle for the latest (CS3) to open my images. It would seem that because I reloaded CS the OS sees this as the default imagefile viewer. Have not been able to find an answer in the forum replies or FAQ's.
how can I make CC my default image editor instead of CS6 on a MAC platform ?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI use Photoshop CS2 to create Designs for webpages. These designs have pixel-exact elements, e.g. a 1-pixel-line from top to bottom.
Now when I zoom in (>100, then I have sort of anti-alias, so that the 1-pixel-line isn't only one blue anymore, but it has different blue tones. I guess for photo manipulations etc. this anti-aliasing zoom is great, but for webdesign it sucks because I don't know if only the zoom make the line "corrupt" or if it really is corrupt.
Is there a way to change this zoom?
Can I make layers default to the top when I drag and drop into a new layer folder instead of the bottom? It annoys me that they always go to the bottom and I inevitably always need them at the top.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just installed PSE12 and want it to be the default program to open my jpg files. I know how to set defaults on a PC but the program does not even come up on the list of defaults. I've tried right-click on image and "open with" but no PSE12. If I use Browse and follow the path Program Files (x86)/Adobe/PSE12/PSE Editor.exe, there is no exe file, only the application. If I select PSE Editor, it does not make it the default.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI still want it to have its normal behavior while in a command, but when not in a command it still enters the selection mode, which does not work, but if it would enter a zoom window command, it might be a more useful command.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just bought Adobe Elements Photshop and Premier 11. I spent 2 to 3 hours getting my picture video library into Adobe's organizer. I had some problems with duplicate picture (that I wanted to be there - so I had to rename them) and a couple pictures with corrupted metadata. After I got all that sorted out I am a bit miffed about the folder view on Adob'es organizer.
I love that you can switch to folder view - since this is how I have been organizing my pictures for a long time. I would like to continue organizing this way for now until I get a grasp on the other ways I can organize them in elements. However, every time I close and re-open organizer it switches back to the default view instead of folder view. there is a way to set folder view to the default view!
After using Elements 12 for a months trial and then uninstalling it, I can no longer find Elements 9 listed when I right click on a picture file and select "open with". How can I restore it to my list of programs with which I can open the file. I'm using Windows 8 which list aps and some other programs but not Elements 9.
