Photoshop Elements :: Locating Smart Albums
Dec 7, 2013There are no Smart albums displayed. nor is 'create new smart album' displayed as an available option when I click on the + Album button. When I try to create a new album 'last 6 months' (which I know was pre-created as a smart album in a previous version of element) a warning message that this album already exists is displayed, but I can find no way to locate this smart album or create a new smart album? Is my newly downloaded Elements 11 corrupted in some way, or are the smart albums just hidden and need making visible in some way?

Feb 12, 2014Detail Smart Brush use to have the same brightness as Smart Brush as in Bright Eyes, Whiten Teeth, etc. Now when I use Smart Brush, I get the same brightness as always, but when I try to use the Detail Brush, it is darker than Smart Brush. It used to be that I could go over an area as many times as I wanted without an accumulation of brightness with the Detail Brush. Now if I go over an area I already went over, it lightens it more. Have I done something to cause this? How can I get it back to the way it was before (and the way I can still use Elements 11 which I did not uninstall). I tried Sign Out, uninstall and making a new install but the problem was there again. Is it possible that this was updated by Adobe and intentionally changed?

Recently, for no reason I can fathom suddenly when I open a jpg or png file and select the smart bruch as I start the selection process greatt rectangular chunks are omitted (marked out by the dashed lines) which I cannot select. Is there a way to reverse the function of Reference Manager (perhaps with a different app), ie find all the drawing files that reference my jpg file

Apr 2, 2013How accurate is the Document Properties information. I have several files that report containing various fonts only I can't find the fonts in the documents. What's the best way of locating particular fonts within documents. The Find dialogue is tedious to use given that we need to manually move from one page to another. Is there an alternative?

May 7, 2013I seem to have accidentally animated Exposure Value (located within the Exposure Control).
I don't know how to eliminate the animation and even though I try to manually reset the Exposure Value by turning of Autokey and then setting Exposure Value to the setting I want, I keep encountering a persistence of the animation.
What I mean is that I might reset the Exposure Value to zero, but then when I scrub the track, the Exposure value starts to change. I cannot figure out how to fix this as no matter where I reset the Exposure Value, when I scrub back and forth on the track, the Exposure Value changes to other values...
I've tried looking in the Curve Editor, but haven't been able to find keys. I also don't see any keys in the track.
AutoCad :: Locating And Deleting Layers
Dec 8, 2011I run into the problem where I copy from one project to the next to save time, also from templates and what not. Well there isn't really a uniform nature to my drawings as i started doing them under necessity rather design.
So, i try to delete duplicate layers.. or Layer's and it continues to give me errors... stating every time:
The following layers cannot be deleted:
Layers 0 and Defpoints
The current layer
Layers containing objects
Xref-dependent layers
Well, its not Layer 0 or Def Points, Its not the current layer and i even deleted all pages except the one mandatory and CTRL+A - DEL... Zoom extents on model and do the same thing, and i cannot get rid of the layer....
How do i get rid of the pesky layers? Can i type a command that changes all XXXX layer to XXX layer and can dump the ones into such as "0" layer and be unconcerned about it freeing it up to delete the unwanted un used layer?
Lightroom :: Locating Missing Images?

SCENARIO 1:
I create a line > specify second pt to 0,0 > Enter = NADA
SCENARIO 2:
Create a Line > Select Line > Move to 0,0 = NADA
HOWEVER, If i create something, use COPY BASE command, and and specify 0,0 --> PASTE into new drawing with 0,0 as insertion point, it can locate it... so it's there.... i just can't find it.

Jan 7, 2014In a 2D drawing I want to arrange model space objects in a pviewport such that a specific model space point is in the center of the pviewport. I'm manipulating the pviewport properties to try to accomplish this. To have the view perpendicular to the model space XY plane, I've set the pviewport direction property at 0,0,1 and am varying the arrangement of model space objects with the pviewport target property.
When doing this by hand, I use the DVIEW command and the POints option to set the camera and target. The model space point I want in the center of the pviewport is 16.25,11.5,0. In the DVIEW command, POints option, I set target to 16.25,11.5,0 and camera to 16.25,11.5,1.
When attempting to do this with a macro I'm not finding any obvious correlation between the pviewport target property setting and the location of the desired model space point. Below are the lines to set the target property in a pviewport called PVPort created in previous steps. When I set the target property to 0,0,0, the model space point 45.3541, 17, 0 is in the center of the pviewport. When I set the target property to 16.25,11.5,0, the model space point 61.6041,28.5,0 is in the center of the pviewport.
If the pviewport has a twist angle of a scale not 1.0 (and therfore a different model space point I'm wanting in the center of the pviewport), it gets more confusing.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Locating Breaklines Amongst Many And Removing From The Surface?
Dec 7, 2012I had some inaccurate survey points in my EG. Now I have new points and breaklines. How to locate thes old breaklines either within the list or visually within my surface editing / style.
The zoom to doesn't work as there are many breaklines within the zoom extents, and 1000's of breaklines to sift through. Is there a setting somewhere in the surface where i can turn on the breaklines that have been added already to something that's visible so i can delete those out of my surface?
I'm looking for anything on this one. (Not the obvious answers thought). Delete all and replace all (not happening).

I will post a picture when I have a chance, but what I am looking for is the 'W' figure (distance over 'x' number of teeth at the pitch line). What I have is a 19.xxx deg. helical gear so the best way to get this info is calculate it, but again, I dont see it in the inventor calculation.

AutoCAD 2013 :: Locating A System Variable - No Block Preview On Cursor
Aug 17, 2013I'm having trouble finding a system variable.
I have blocks in a drawing that were made using the 'retain' method. WHen I go to insert the block I cannot see the block preview at the crosshair cursor. The block only becomes visible once I have clicked the left mouse key at the insertion point.
This means I can't rotate it either as I can't see it until I have clicked to place it.
Which system variable (And what setting) will allow me to see the block as I'm inserting it?

Problem: Transform applied to Smart Object fails to transform an attached Smart Filters Mask.
I mean a Transform, including Free Transform, as found in the Edit menu. A simple move by the Move Tool is OK.
A workaround until this bug is squashed is to encapsulate the Smart Object + Smart Filters + Filter Mask inside another Smart Object and transform that.However, that will not be a satisfactory solution in some cases. If a filter has size parameter(s), e.g. Gaussian Blur radius, a scaling or warping/distorting transform applied after the filter will obviously differ from the filter applied after the transform.
In any case, the workaround is inconvenient to subsequent editing and experimenting with filters and masks.
AutoCAD Dynamic Blocks :: Bent Plates With Slots - Locating Connecting Bolt
Dec 20, 2012I have a block of two bent steel plates that are bolted together.. Everything works just how i need except the "limits" on the connecting bolt assembly. The plates we use are slotted, and depending on the angle of the bend, the range the bolt can be in changes. I can set a distance parameter on one clip or the other, but have no way of linking the two. I have a trig function i could use if you could put one with variables in the min or max of a dimension, or i think i could do it if i could limit a point to stay on a line. I can put a coincident constraint on it, but the point will go past the line infinitely, if that makes sense. Relatively new to these blocks, and self-taught as it is.

No matter what 1 single pixel brush i use this will happen... no matter which computer i use cs6 on and different copies of the installation. Anyway have any insight into this? frankly... it's somewhat limiting that i can't use the brush for stroking a shape if i need a pixel line and yet soft curves that a pencil won't get you.
