So I need to recreate a style similar to this Lexus Photo Montage. Might any of you offer you opinion of an efficient method to get a look like this using Photoshop CS4?
Or does anyone know of a resource with a tutorial on this technique? Perhaps filled shapes with different apply modes on layers above the main image, or even adjustment layers with rectangular masks?
I use Memories on TV to make picture montages. Some times when I make a opening picture in Photoshop like a title or some thing. I get a white edge around two side of the first image of the slide show. I found a action one time that was to remove that. Does anyone here know where I can get this action or a different way to remove this white edge?
I am in the process of producing a photo book for my parents 60th wedding anniversary and I want to include a montage of approx 70 photos throughout their marriage. My image size will be 60cm by 30cm and the final jpeg will be inserted into the book via some photobook software provided by the printing company (there are loads of these companies around on the web). FYI I am using P/Shop CS3.
I have created the montage by simply copying the required photos onto my 60 x 30 canvas. When I did the first one, my poor pc struggled to save it. When it finally did, I inserted it into the photobook software but the quality was very poor. The photobook company said it was probably a memory problem with my PC. The file size at this point was approx 12mb.
I have saved each one at a medium level of 5 and remade my montage. Again, I am still having problems being able to view it within the photobook software. I have spent months on this anniversary book to date and obviously don't want to get it all printed to then find my montage is blurry!
Within photoshop, my montage looks great! Is the photobook company correct in that it is a memory problem with my pc? Is there any way, I can reduce the file size without losing image quality? I have even split the montage into 3 different files (left, middle and right) and it is still blurry (outside photoshop)!
how to use Photoshop and doing digital scrapbooking. You've helped me in the past with fibers. There is a current digital contest with a category of "Graphic/Montage/Artsy." Seems like an all inclusive category, right? Well, it makes sense to scrapbookers. I would covet your suggestions on what I can do to enhance my entry. I removed most of the background from image which is my primary focus. I duplicated the layer and on the right used a layer style of hardmix. On the right I used a layer style of hard light. Part of the contest is the word art, and I think I found a quote that fits the picture of my grand daughter.
Trying to crop photos and then arrange them on the canvas cannot seem to maintain the perspective. Am using about 8 fingers...to hold loads of keys but nothing working....
i want to automate the following task to make a 20inch by 20 inch print with 9 smaller prints each 5.33inch prints evenly spaced with a 3/4 inch border between the print and a 1 1/2 border around the outside for framing.
I am a novice PhotoShop user and would like to create a montage of my daughter's face pictures using several photos I have taken. I saw one of these once and saved it, but am unable to locate the montage.
I am using Photoshop CS5 and am creating a photo montage poster with about 30 images on it. The photos are not stellar and I need to change levels, exposure, saturation etc to each image. I was creating groups from layers for each image then dropping it onto the montage file, but I see that filters effect every layer below.
I have a gradient layer as my background and I don't want it affected nor do I want every layer below affected. I created smart layers from each image, that works, but it really slows the system down. What is the smartest and most efficient way to handle this?
i have a photo montage at the end of a video and im looking for some way to automate the moving/scrolling/flow of the pics. i have a particle element (with a trail) that comes in flying through in 3d space. im trying to have the photos dissolve in one at a time in 3d space like they're flying at the camera slowly in front of this particle effect.
trying to not have to animate every single one of these by hand.
I have a picture of my girlfriend in her underwear & I want to alter it in an artistic way so that I can use it for a CD cover. I was thinkin along the lines of makin the edges of her body neon or somethin but dunno how to do it. Any ideas?
I'm trying to duplicate this effect on a Shakira picture, but have had no luck at all. I need to know how the skin was made so light and sparkly. And the eyes and the eyeshadow, how was that done? Code:
I have am image of a map that I have been asked to detail an post to a web page. The map had been drawn out fairly well, but the lines that make up the drawing are jagged. I would like to be able to smooth out the lines so it makes the map more presentable.
I am trying to find out if anyone knows an easy step by step process to make a slide (like you mount photos in) or maybe a negative strip? They have an action at Photoshop for the slide process but the dpi is only 72 and I wanted to use this for a print, can I change the process in the action so the resolution is higher?
I need to know a good technique to make a page have the vellum texture and the shadowy look of an 1800's map as show in the link. I know you can use the burn tool to make shadows but I was wondering if there was another way to make it look more realistic.
I have been struggling to master the style used here by artist Joshua Budich, I have been searching the internet and spending many hours on photoshop the past few days trying to figure out how to add halftone/polka dots in the same colours, like the one used in the Star Wars print and the pattern used on Tyrell.
I've spent hours trying to recreate the grave rubbing technique in Photoshop and am getting very frustrated. I'm looking for something like the rubbing of the knight's shield from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (see attachment below).
I just want to display some block letters in the rubbing (i.e. "LOREM IPSUM DOLOREM EST").
I would like to cut out a cloud from one image and place it into the sky of another image. What is the best technique for preserving the transparent wispy edges like in the image below? The background is usually various gradient shades of blue.
ive had a graphic requested and they want an explosion in the background. Was wondering if anybody knew a good tutorial to make explosions or how to make them in general?
I would like to know to reduce a photograph to a simple drawing using a minimal number of colors such as 3 or 4, or even black and white. Here are a couple of samples of what I would like to be able to do. Is there a PS filter or technique that will do this type of thing?

Im working on an official rap mixtape release for a well know los angeles dj and i was working on the cover and came across this image, i was wondering if anyone knows how to do that lighting effect.
The light is kind of exploding and looks like it has single lines in it, but i was wondering if someone could tell me how to achieve an effect like this.
