View 1 RepliesI have a small business doing canvas stretch pictures. A client of mine has asked me to do a collage of 27 photos and I used Shape Collage to do so. She wanted a collage with all the photos in a regulated format. That is Avg.Angle zero degrees, Max. Angle zero degrees, Offset X zero and Offset Y zero. After creating the collage I saved it as a PSd file. So Far So good. I then opened Gimp 2.8.4 and was quite confused as the latest program appearance is nothing like the tutorials and images on the net. However I was able to open the image of the collage by importing the psd file. I was also able to edit the photos and reposition them according to her wishes. I then saved the file as a psd. She wanted to see a jpeg copy of the collage as she does not have photoshop on her pc. In order to show her I had to flatten the psd and then save it in photoshop to a jpeg format. She now wants me to add one more photo to the existing collage.
How can I do that from the flattened psd?
I am in the process of producing a photo book for my parents 60th wedding anniversary and I want to include a montage of approx 70 photos throughout their marriage. My image size will be 60cm by 30cm and the final jpeg will be inserted into the book via some photobook software provided by the printing company (there are loads of these companies around on the web). FYI I am using P/Shop CS3.
I have created the montage by simply copying the required photos onto my 60 x 30 canvas. When I did the first one, my poor pc struggled to save it. When it finally did, I inserted it into the photobook software but the quality was very poor. The photobook company said it was probably a memory problem with my PC. The file size at this point was approx 12mb.
I have saved each one at a medium level of 5 and remade my montage. Again, I am still having problems being able to view it within the photobook software. I have spent months on this anniversary book to date and obviously don't want to get it all printed to then find my montage is blurry!
Within photoshop, my montage looks great! Is the photobook company correct in that it is a memory problem with my pc? Is there any way, I can reduce the file size without losing image quality? I have even split the montage into 3 different files (left, middle and right) and it is still blurry (outside photoshop)!
am trying to create a montage of photos.
How do I open and manipulate multiple photos in one document?
how to use Photoshop and doing digital scrapbooking. You've helped me in the past with fibers. There is a current digital contest with a category of "Graphic/Montage/Artsy." Seems like an all inclusive category, right? Well, it makes sense to scrapbookers. I would covet your suggestions on what I can do to enhance my entry. I removed most of the background from image which is my primary focus. I duplicated the layer and on the right used a layer style of hardmix. On the right I used a layer style of hard light. Part of the contest is the word art, and I think I found a quote that fits the picture of my grand daughter.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I need to recreate a style similar to this Lexus Photo Montage. Might any of you offer you opinion of an efficient method to get a look like this using Photoshop CS4?
Or does anyone know of a resource with a tutorial on this technique? Perhaps filled shapes with different apply modes on layers above the main image, or even adjustment layers with rectangular masks?
I am using Photoshop CS5 and am creating a photo montage poster with about 30 images on it. The photos are not stellar and I need to change levels, exposure, saturation etc to each image. I was creating groups from layers for each image then dropping it onto the montage file, but I see that filters effect every layer below.
I have a gradient layer as my background and I don't want it affected nor do I want every layer below affected. I created smart layers from each image, that works, but it really slows the system down. What is the smartest and most efficient way to handle this?
i have a photo montage at the end of a video and im looking for some way to automate the moving/scrolling/flow of the pics. i have a particle element (with a trail) that comes in flying through in 3d space. im trying to have the photos dissolve in one at a time in 3d space like they're flying at the camera slowly in front of this particle effect.
trying to not have to animate every single one of these by hand.
I'd like to create some simple collages but cannot afford the full-blown Photoshop right now. Will Elements allow me to create collages? If so, is there anything that I won't be able to do that I could do (as it relates to collage work) with the full edition?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'd like to combine a number of cropped photos (2x2, for instance) into a larger photo (8x10 or so) that I can ultimately have printed at Costco. I've checked a number of PE4 "help" books and none of them seem to address this. I'm sure it can be done; it seems rather straightforward, given some of the other complex features that PE4 offers.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have placed a few images onto a background, I cannot seem to resize each individual image to my pre-determined sizes (for a business portfolio sheet) without also resizing the 'page' on which I'm trying to place them. I've tried image size, canvas size, transform, etc. but when I am in the specific layer trying to resize it, it still seems to resize the whole document (even though I didn't select canvas size).
View 2 Replies View RelatedBeen a while since I've gotten to play with PS. But I just got PSCS2 and wanted to play with it. And I remembered making a Euro Collage in my PS class (lol, was named Web Graphics using Photoshop 7.0) Anyway, I have lost all my notes and cannot remember what elements I need for a Euro Collage. I do remember a few things, but not everything. I have looked on the web but they don't say what elements comprise a Euro Collage. Or if anyone knows a link I could follow, I'd greatly appreciate it.
