View 3 RepliesI have a project with many different blocks of text, and colors changing from letter to letter within words.
How do I identify what any given color is?
When I click on a letter, it shows me a visual block of the color, but doesn't tell me what the corresponding color number is.
Problem being, if I see one letter and want to take its color to use it elsewhere, I have no way of knowing what that color is.
How will I split the image into multiple pages of letter size paper easily. Then I will put it on either PDF or MS Word for print. Then I merge it once it is printed.

I PMed someone for creating my logo for a FM station project.
I want to add the letter KAPY & the numbers 91.7 to this image to create a logo for a Community Radio Station.
So I assue I need to create a layer to would contain the letters & numbers, correct?
I have already installed the correct font in windows, I will be using.
I just need a square image with a letter on it. Here is what I have done:
1) File - new. 256x256. OK.
2) Click the 'A' button in the toolbox
3) Click 'Use Editor (since nothing seems to work)
4) Drag a rectangle onto my image.
5) Click on the editor
6) Type the letter 'x'
Guess what happens? Absolutely NOTHING! If I type other random letters, the editor disappears. What am I doing wrong? (and why is this so difficult?).

View 18 Replies View RelatedI seem to be having problems when I lasso round a specific part of a photo taken with a white background and then try to add that part of the image to a plain #000000 black background.
I always seem to get a white outline around the image when I place it on the black background, even when its on ZERO feathered. I don't like using feathered as it adds a smudge round the outside of the image.
I am using my CS2 on OSX and when I view the image in a full screen mode the color around the image is grey, well it used to be grey but it is blue now. How do I change it back to neutral grey?

To use magic wand gives bad result when applied to text? So what can I do? I am trying to place text over image. I know I could write it over the image but I need the text as a transparent layer some place else.

I would like to remove the bg from a small image, ie make it's bg transparent, and place that small image on top of a large image, a banner. Not sure what I am doing wrong but when I place the small image on the large one the entire image is transparent, not just the bg.

I somehow can't get it done with the pen tool. I know many of you would make this in a few seconds. How would you go about doing it ??.
I have tried making 3 arrows but they all look weird.
How do I outline a letter or a number? For example, I have a black, arial font, 200 pt number 5. I would like to put a thin outline of another color, say red, around it. I have tried making a larger number 5 on a different layer and placing it under the smaller number but that gives me more of a drop shadow effect which is not what I am looking for.
Here is an example: .....
long time ago i saw this image with a glowing effect on the letters, and i want to make the same effect, but cant figure it how.
its the regular glowing effect that photoshop uses but with two additcional arcs that glows.
This arc as you may see surrounds the letter "O" and then its after the letter "e" on the word "Online" of the following example ....
I was typing some text onto a picture and needed to use a letter from the 'Character Map'. Normally I just 'Drag and Drop', but it would not work on PE. I also tried to get it using the code for the letter and it did not work either, but I am not familiar with using the codes, so maybe I was doing it wrong.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have the attached image from which I am trying to produce a logo, eventually exporting it to illustrator. I have retaken the photo of the charcoal drawing so it is placed on the same paper it was drawn on and have managed to get a reasonable amount of space on the right hand edge but the left hand edge is proving beyond me. As there are so many greys and light greys, it is proving impossible to get a good selection. When I place the logo in my wordpress site it looks awful on the right hand edge.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have this photo of me and my son that I put on my "about" page on my website, I cut the background out using the background eraser tool, and it looks great on my website, but if I put it on an all black background I can see where some of the pixels that should have been erased have not been, I have spent hour cutting out the image, is there a faster more efficient way of doing this in the future?
The photo is at: [URL]............
- You will see that I have cut out some of my son's hair, and didn't do the best job cutting out the image because I don't necessarily have the "steadiest" hand.
I have installed Photoshop CS6 - but when I attempt to edit anything the image flickers (it flickers to black and back again to the image). The background also flickers (from the grey grid to black and back again.
What would cause this? (Note: the application works, I can save, edit and such, but this flickering is driving me nuts! It only occurs when I attempt to do something to the image.)
