View 1 Replies View RelatedThe style menu shows all styles the first time its opened. When the style is changed, only a third of the style list is shown.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have developed a script that act on the layers individually so it would be great if I could add a new command in the layer context menu (the one that has Blending Options..., Duplicate and Delete Group, Copy,Paste and Clear Style and add or remove colors from the "eye" icon, etc...
I know that you can add the script to File/Scripts submenu but if I had access to it directly from that context menu, it would be much better. I have seen a script that adds a new top menu item to the menu bar of the ESTK so I am hopeful it can be done something similar in PS.
I was busy designing an advert for work, happily adding layer styles to text as per usual and when I was busy selecting a colour for the gradient overlay my colour picker menu froze.I can still select colours and photoshop is still active (if i move my cursor about the screen the menu buttons still work but all the options are greyed out so I can't even save and restart) but I can't escape the menu. Neither the "Cancel" button or the "Ok" button are working, the "x" button isn't working and hitting escape doesn't work either. When I try and click anything in the menu I get an error "ping" and photoshop opens the adobe Photoshop web page but if I click on the canvas my cursor becomes the ink dropper and selects the color.
Is there some other way I can get out of the layer menu without restarting and losing all my progress?
I've just downloaded the Photoshop CC trial version and I'd like to make an animation. To animate you need to create a new blank video layer (Layers>video layer>new blank video layer)
I can't do that, since there is no video layer menu (not even greyed out). It was in the PS CS6 extended version, did they remove it in CC? What should I do?
The issue that I'm having is when I select my font and type on my project the letters will show up in the layer menu but not in my project. Wondering how I can fix this issue
View 2 Replies View Relatedwhy I can't see all the layers in the pull down menu? This doesn't happen with all drawings, but I've noticed this in a recent files.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am wondering if it is possible to have pulldown menus items be brought in on the layer that they were created on versus the layer that your template has current. I created pull down menus and (not thinking ahead) put them all on layer 0. They come in with all the attributes they were created with, but come in on the current layer. Can I change that?

When I open my Layer manager in AutoCAD 2012 - I have hatch symbols across the top where 'New Layer', New Property Filter', 'Set Current' etc. should be.
while this is very entertaining and different - I am worried what will happen next. I have only had my new pc for about 6 weeks and the Version 2013 is a new download.
I have a pdf of a screenshot attached.
I have been having problems using my layer toolbar dropdown menu. My drop down bar will show the current layer or the current layer and the layer of a selected object. I need to open the Layer Properties Manager in order to turn on/off or freeze/thaw other layers. It seems to happen the most when I have external references loaded into the drawing.
Also, the Layer Properties Manager has a few quirks. If I create a new layer, it will not record changes to the layer color, linetype, etc on the first try. I can make these changes, but when I close the Layer Properties box, all of the changes are lost. I need to reopen the Layer Properties Manager and make the changes again.
The Layer Properties Manager also seems to have a glitch where it will deselect from the manager back to the drawing without a mouse click. Also, when I click once on an external reference layer to select, it tells me I cannot modify this layer. I would assume this would pop up if it were a double click action for modification, but it does this after a single click.
It seems that there are some major glitches with the Layer Properties Manager.
I just upgraded to 2013 and have noticed that when using the dropdown layer control in the classic layer toolbar the mouse cursor changes from an arrow to the blue spinning circle to indicate its busy.
Why? and is there any way to fix this. You can still turn layers on and off and it reacts normally otherwise but it does make it harder to select the little lightbulb and freeze icons on the left.
Never happened in 2012 always happens in 2013.
extend the context menu of "Layer Group". We have a "save" option for single layer but i want the same for layer group
View 1 Replies View Relatedmy layer manager menu button icons have been replaced by hatch patterns this morning …. see attached .... Interesting.
I must have loaded the impressionist.cui interface this morning by mistake.
No doubt a restart will cure the issue.
I'm building a custom action and it would be great if I could record clicking the layer eyeball off.
Is there a menu command equivalent for turning current layer visibility off?
Been searching for this one. Haven't been able to find an answer.
View 6 Replies View RelatedFor the first month or so using PSP X4 I thought you couldn't open Properties and adjust blend ranges on entire layer groups, but it turns out I can if I open Properties from the menu. There is no context menu entry! What is with that, Corel? Minor UI issue but would be a nice inclusion.

View 9 Replies View Relatedthere's nothing in that dropdown menu for you to select your source image/layer in the Move Path plugin.I am using an XCF (Gimp) file, with many layers. I selected a particular layer, then I opened the Move Path plugin.
View 2 Replies View RelatedA co-worker scanned a photo and emailed it to me to edit it and try to improve it, but everything I want to do is grayed out so I can't select it and I can't figure out why. Maybe it has to do with how she scanned it?
It's CMYK, 300 dpi, and 8 bit.
I'd like to sharpen it and adjust the hue/saturation, but they're grayed out.
why this is happening and how I can work around this so I can make the changes I need to make?
When selecting a sub menu from within a main drop down menu the arrow points to the right but the actual sub menu pops up on the left in most cases. I have only noticed this recently and wonder if I have inadvertently messed up a setting as in the past I cant recall this being so but I don't use the editor a lot so may be mistaken.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to 2012 but forgot to install the express tools, Doh!. I installed them through control panel repair and everything works. Except when I close and restart ACAD the menu bar express menu disappears. I can bring it back by using cuiload but this is not ideal. Any way to get it to stick?

How do I add custom menu items to the main menu in Illustrator?
I would like to build my own menu with scripts that I use alot. This is a powerful feature that I use alot in other programs, but I have not seen any examples of this in illustrator.
all the twirly triangle dropdown menu things (what's the official term?) underneath the contents menu of layers. Especially now that I'm working with Convert to Shape Layer functionality I'm wondering what an efficient/shortcut based way to work with these inner menus is. For instance when converting Text to Shape layers - it seems like I'm spending most of my time dealing with twirly triangle management
I don't even know how to search for them: obviously searching for anything "collapse" takes one to a bunch of collapse transformations stuff.
Using VS X5 - Just making up a menu for my dvd im burning. Haven made a menu since using ..VS11+ I think it was.
All seems very very familar...similar etc and not asking it to do anything out of the ordinary which 11+ couldnt cope with ( just nowadays using all this AVCHD malaky etc )
Question -Main menu of my dvd - Why am I getting on my main menu page the begininings of my movie!!! I have my main menu setup ( bringing in a pre-made 30second clip on which I will put 'Press Play to watch movie' and/or 'chapter select'. ) When i preview my main menu page...I see the 30second clip i wanted but as it runs so too does my actual movie - at the same time.
I cant seem to find a button to ..basically..tell it not to play the movie as soon as you load the dvd but instead to wait until the 30 second main menu runs and automatically reruns etc until YOU decide to press the 'Play movie' button.
I intended to add more option at right click shortcut menu. Is it possible to be done?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to add the menu in the main menubar where the File Edit etc. are there.
how to do this using .NET ?
I am working on a plugin for adobe illustrator CS6 by using adobe CS6 SDK. By using this plugin I need to add a Me nu Item In File Menu of Adobe Illustrator.
I have used the following code for this:
______________________________________________________________________ ________
SPBasicSuite *mBasic = message->d.basic;
AIMenuSuite *sAIMenu;
mBasic->AcquireSuite(kAIMenuSuite,kAIMenuVersion, (const void**)&sAIMenu);
SPPluginRef plugin;
[Code]...
But i have nothing as output.
It appears that the Layer Filters functionality is broken again with 2013. Unchecking the "Apply layer filter to layer toolbar" disables the function of layer filters in the tool palette.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have found that when I use the Layer Styles on one layer and then make a new layer or select a shape that creates a new layer that when I go to add Styles to the new layer/new shape the previous layer is affected by how I set the Bevel & Emboss, Direction, Altitude, Drop Shadow etc etc.
For instance, let's say I have a ...
BG > New Layer > draw an ellipse and then add a Bevel with an > Angle of 89 and an Altitude of 30 and then I add a New Layer > open the Styles and go to change the Angle to say +89 or whatever and the Altitude to say 45 ... the first Layer/Shape Effects change.
How I can keep one Layer from being affected by an other Layers Effects'?
I have found that if I Rasterize a Layer Effect that I can add a "double" effect on the same layer but I haven't tried the to do this with separate layers. However, for most of the work I am doing I cannot use the Raster because everything needs to be true vectors.
I have a Dell Laptop/Windows 7 Home Premium that's a 64 bit
It looks like a thumbnail in center of layer with the box thing around it...And the paper I'm placing on is 12x12 or 3600x3600px.
