View 1 RepliesI'm using LR to process DNG files from Leica M 240.
I understand LR has some extra profiles ( "Camera Faithful, Camera Portrait, etc" ) for some Canon and Nikon camera models.
As under "Camera Calibration -> Profile" I can only see "Embedded" or "Adobe Standard", does it mean these extra profiles don't exist for Leica M 240?
I have downloaded updates for cs5 and still I cannot open camera raw files

View 1 Replies View RelatedI noticed that if you have a ".psd" file even if it is Flatten, it will not open in camera raw. I can easily save it to a Tiff or other formats and open it in camera raw, but I wonder why .psd file does not open in camera raw.
View 21 Replies View RelatedI made a picture in HRD Pro, and i want to work on it. I saved it as a .psd and also as a .tif, but I cannot open nor the .psd, nor the .tif in Camera Raw? If I save it as a .Jpg I already lose quality..?
View 15 Replies View RelatedI've replaced my Ps 5.5 by Ps 6. Now I'm having problems with opening psd files in Camera Raw; in Ps 5 I worked from Bridge and could open that type of files from Bridge to ACR.
I just found out how to open it in Photoshop: open as....RAW file. But I want several psd-files opening in ACR simultaneously, because I want to synchronize them. That is not possible; I can only select just 1 file.
I have photoshop creative suite version 12.1 - just bought a new mark iii camera and my raw files won't open in my photoshop version....what can i do??
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have read in numerous articles that I can open jpg files in ACR from within Elements 11. They all state to go File>Open, then browse to the jpg you wish to open, select Camera Raw from the file type and select the jpg. When I select the Camera Raw file type then all the jpg images disappear in the selection area or if I click the jpg first and then select Camera Raw and open then it says file not found. Am I doing this wrong or are the articles I am reading incorrect?

I am using PSE 5.0.
camera raw 7.0 don't open raw files from canon 5dm3, and i can't apdeit camera raw because ACR6.7 not installed.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am not able to see or open Raw files from my Canon 40D in either Photoshop CS3 or Bridge CS3. At first I was able to open RAWS in Photoshop and then I followed directions on the internet at how to manually replace a Camera Raw Plugin so I could open it in Bridge and now neither of the apps work with RAW. In photoshop It says that the file is not supported.
I looked up what plug in I needed and it said 4.2 for a Canon 40 D. I also followed the instructions in the read me file that was with the plugin download. No results from it. I even tried to switch it back to the old plug in to see if I could atleast get back the capiblility of opening it in Photoshop even though bridge was not working...still can't open it in either. What am I missing?
I upgraded to Photoshop CS6 from CS5.X and I can not open RAW files in Camera RAW for my Nikon D800. It functioned properly in CS5 with the latest RAW release but won't work in CS6.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI cannot open new files from Photoshop CS6.
I have to go outside of the program and open them by dragging the file onto the dock icon. This means I cannot open any of my digital camera files (transferred into Nikon Transfer into "Pictures") from the program. So, I have to go 'outside' of PS, and then back in – and this eats up a good deal of time, and this latest version isn't as quick as it used to be.
Sometimes, it won't even let me open a file I'd worked on only a few hours before. Again, I can open them 'outside' PS, but I keep getting this error when I try to access them from via command-O:
"Could not complete your request because of a program error."
I've reset the defaults twice. Fresh operating system. Clean user account.
I have a Canon 5D Mk lll/Photoshop & Bridge CS6/Camera Raw 7.1 and I still can't open the CR2 files on my Canon.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI can't open NEF files of my Nikon D800 in PS CS 5.1 even though I have installed Camera Raw 6.7.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I open a .NEF file, the Camera Raw window pops up and I save the file in a .dng format.
But then, I cannot open the .dng file with Photoshop Elements (Camera Raw pops up automatically).
how can I open the .dng file in Photoshop Elements?
I recently upgraded my computer from windows 7 32 bits to win 7 64 bits. I am trying to use Photoshop cs6 64 bits, however I cannot open any files in camare raw (the plugin does not exist). also I cannot update Photoshop (last I tried from update submenu was Adobe CSX6 InfrastructureCS6). View 22 Replies View RelatedI have a new camera, Canon SX50 which produces RAW images called IMG files. I tried to open one in Photoshop Elements 12 and it says it does not handle that file type. I have Windows 7 x64 operating system. I tried to find updates for Elements 12 and don't see any. (I thought I needed a Camera RAW update). What do I do?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just reinstalled PSE12 and LR5 and cannot open raw files in PSE12. The error message says my camera is not supported. Im using a Canon 70D, my raw format is CR2, and Elements tells my my Camera Raw plug-in is Version 8.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am using a windows CS6 Bridge => Camera Raw (8.2) => CS6 Photoshop (13.0.1 x64) to try to open various 16-bit raw files (.dng, .nef, .arw) which Bridge sees as 16-bit, but only an 8-bit version makes it into photoshop.
How do I convince Camera Raw to do its job?
Lightroom (4.4) is able to export a 16-bit .psd which sort-of-works but shouldn't be necessary.
Have PS6 with Camera Raw 7.0 Unable to open Canon 5D Mark III files. SNo support or upgrade available on the site but 6.7 upgrade.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI can open one JPEG at a time, or multiple Raw images in ACR.
Have checked other sources including Barbara Brundage "The Missing Manual" but whilst it does not specifically say you cannot, likewise there is no indication that you can.
I've searched for the Camera Raw setting that is available from the Photoshop (not PSE8) menu but it is not even available in Photoshop Elements 8 that I've been able to see. Where this setting is?
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhy does an image that has been altered by Lightroom cause the RAW Converter to open when trying to view it in Photoshop. Perhaps this might work; if I import, enhance and convert a RAW image in Lightroom to a jepg image it will open in Photoshop without issue. However if I then alter the jpeg image in Lightroom, update the Metadata and try to view it in Photoshop it cause the Photoshop's RAW Converter to open. Is the alter image's information held in a side car file (xmp) that can'r be read by Photoshop? If so would I need to re-export, (convert), the image again in Lightroom to embedd the changes thus making sure it could be read by all the various programs that are available to view images. As is I send photographs to newspapers and print houses it is important for me to know if they would be receiving fully adjusted images or only the adjustments that were made prior to converting from RAW to jpeg. Just in case...I am new to Lightroom.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I just downloaded and installed Paint.Net and am ready to use it. I took a few test shots with my camera, which is a Nikon D90, in NEF (RAW) + JPEG mode.
Now here is my problem(s). First off, I can see the RAW image on my camera, however, when I try to open it in the Paint.Net editor, it does not even appear as being there. It does not recognize the file at all. Then also, if I try to use the JPEG format of the same photo, I get an error message "The image type is not recognized, and cannot be opened"
I have to first save the JPEG file to my computer and then I can open it with Paint.Net. And as of right now, I can not do anything with the RAW file so it sits on my camera's SD card.
I really want to start editing my photos a little more than I currently do and figured it was time to take the RAW dive.
I have just bought Lightroom 5 and upgraded it to 5.3 and I still can't open raw files taken with my olympus E-M1 even though it is on the list of cameras that LR5 supports.
