I'm trying to create the word "the bridge" that looks like a smoke, as if the word comes out of a candle that's just been blown. Can somebody tell me how to do this effect? Do i need a 3rd party plug in or can i just do it on Photoshop?
View 9 RepliesI am trying to create a clip art for word. I have an image which i open with photoshop. I select the truck wanted from the photograph, I want to save the image of the truck only (subtracting the background such as sky, pavement, other cars and ect.) so that I may insert it into a word document wraping text around the jagged edges of the truck, not a bunch of squared off white or transparent space for a brochure. I have CS5.5 version.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I open the Add_001.html template in Wordpad (XP Pro) the file opens as HTML code, not the document itself. This is fine w/ me, I know HTML.
However, I was wondering if the file is suppose to open as an HTML page instead, and I could use Wordpad to edit it?

I use Paint.Net a lot to create images for Word. So I save in .jpg org .png. And everytime I save my work (which contains layers), Paint.Net asks if I want to flatten it.
Add an "Remeber my selection" check-box, or auto-flatten the image. I think, after seeing that dialog-box for 100x times, you know that there will be no layers afterwards.
Alternatively, you could add a command "Save As Copy..." which doesn't ask for flattening, and will not change the currently active image. (This solution would not require you internally keep track of the user choices.)
The goal is to create the trailing effect of a word.
It should look as if the word is coming from the center of the screen to the forefront, either to the top or the bottom of the screen.

I try to do this in Library Mode, Keyword Creation box, I get 2 words.
Example, I type Los Angeles and get: Angeles, Los
Nothing I try works. I know it is common since I imported 200,000 images and I see lots of word combos used as keywords.
I read the manual, looked at tutorials, read an existing thread on this, can't find the simple answer. I am about to start keywording my 200,000 images from the last 12 years, I need to learn this at the get go...

View 3 Replies View Relatedhow can we create freeze frame like we do in FCP. i tried with Command U but that comes with audio and when i stretch on time line it gives handles. where in FCP when i create freeze frame it is like a still frame of JPG or any other file. when i stretch it just increase the duration of the still file.
Secondly if i did chroma key in FCP and i take the freeze frame of the clip, it creates the freeze with matte(alfa or transparent). how can we create that?
I have a sequence contain couple of clips/cuts. I then create a container and save the container in the desktop. What i want to do is to make this container as a 'master' clip so every time i put it into a new sequence, it will create an instance of the master clip. This means everytime i edit the master clip (change edit /trim etc), it will reflect immediatelly in all the instances. Is it possible ? The current implementation, i can only duplicate/copy which then they become disconnected from the 'master' clip. Do i have that options ? This is handy when i want to have managed control of that container.

I found out that there is a plugin system for Nuke called YUVSOFT which does this but the company will not release their plugins for small market jobs. The depth maps don't have to be anything special or perfect. I just don't want to have to spend days and days rotoing out a 30 or 40 layers per shot with Mocha. Will the Motion Analysis node create the vectors to assist in depth map creation?

Getting this error message for Smoke Trial ext 1
ERROR: The Media Storage Location used by smoke is invalid or missing. Please check the settings in the Smoke Setup utility.
I tried to setup the Media Storage location but was unable to.
I will receive a 2D object and a normal pass. And from that I need to create some shperical image that will be mapped on to the image without being in 3D space. I know it's somehow possible in Fusion using some global pointers. Is something similar possible in Smoke?
