View 8 Replies View RelatedMy model has turbine engines complete with blades.
After attaching the engine to the rest of the model, I tried to animate the blades using Cycles, however, because the engine itself is attached with a 15-20º incline, the blades do not rotate around -360 properly. The illustration below shows the blades at the -89º mark.
How do I reset the pivot point for the Rotate Tool, or at least compensate for the offset pivot?

I am trying to get the rectangle pattern to form 8 blades of the same shape and height across the barrel.A picture shows how the height is lost within the barrel..The only blade which is the same height is the 2 outside blades
Is the rectangle the right tool to produce the result?
I am running CS5 and would like to remove a shadow on the grass. The photo is attached and the shadow is to the lower right of the photo (this was the handler's arm).
I've tried the clone tool but it didn't look realistic, tried content aware -- that didn't work either. Tried selecting and using the hue/sat slider to lighten it -- that was terrible. I am going to try a quick mask and see if that will work.
I'm teaching a graphic design class and to get the students ready to do design work I am having them do the grass tutorial that you can find online, it was used a lot under CS3. We are using CS5.
Okay so on this tutorial we get to the Step 16, using Macs btw, and we are stumped. Putting a shadow, I've tried this myself, thing is the shadow needs to have the same bumpy edge that the grass image does.
As you understand i am new on Ps 7. I will try to find Dune Grass Brush but i can not find anywhere and i dont know how to create this brush as abr.
Please anyone, explain me how to make new brush as Dune Grass as Abr.
This was originally create in Corel I think, how could this be done in photoshop?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am working on my amateur game and need a nice 'top down view' image of grass.
I have triedd effects like filmgrain and grain but there is something that just doent make it look realistic.
how to make nice looking grass?
I have already turned the sky blue with some clouds but now I would like to make the dead grass green. The image is ultimately going to be turned into a painting using photoshop but I want the image exactly the way I want it before I convert it.
View 2 Replies View Relatedsome outdoor pics includes burnt out or yellowing grass. I wish to make the grass greener or even the water more blue. So far I have been utilizing the snapshots and history brush along with either the levels or curves commands. One problem is the edited area shows an abrupt ending with no continuity to the rest of pic. Additionally, when I do go outside or beyond my intended area with the history brush, what recourse do I have? So far my only known option is to retreat via the history states.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am looking for ways to draw the rolling of blades or slats around an axe for Aluminum Roller Shutters. The path of the rolling is an hellix, rolling around a 70 mm octogonal reel then continue downward in a downward movement.
I have attached some pics from Catalogues and Guides where such have been drawn.
How do I make the grass blend with the background. There's not a line that cuts it off, it just gently blends.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have modelled some grass using peter guthrie method, which is in a word to model a grass blade and scatter it. Now my problem is it works good for the foreground but doing it in the background means a LOT of polys (~20 million polys) and mental ray was not too happy about it
So I was wondering if I could make a texture out of some area of the foreground and use that in the background (see image). Do you think that is doable...? I have not found a tutorial that renders an object (my grass blades, very high poly) into a texture for another object (the plane under them) and I don't really know where to start.
I want to know green area on subassembly.
I attach screenshot.
magenta color line is grass.
How can I express grass on subassembly?
I made a patch of grass moving yesterday using this tutorial (URL....) it worked perfectly and I got a test render out yesterday, today I open up the file and the grass does not move with the hair follicles and I do not know why, nothing has been changed since the render.
Opened up a new scene, tried going through the steps again and it does not work.
I'm drawing a cartoon on a girl on the grass. My image is a cartoon girl. The grass is real. This looks funny and makes for a big file. (real grass is too slow to put on a webpage)
How to draw grass? I'm new to gimp.

I am working on modeling a residential house and I have been progressive positively on this project except that I now have to include earth and grass materials not available on the Material Browser of Autocad and also I want to draw 3D windows in Inventor that I would want to use effectively in the architectural drawing in Autocad. Is there a way to safely export the Inventor Assembly without losing the colors and rendering?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a scene showing a wide plain heading towards low mountains. The perspective is such that the mountains appear to be about 1/2 a mile away, across a basic southwest desert plain covered by dry-looking yellow grass, sagebrush, some cactus, etc.
My problem is how best to cover the plain with grass so that it's covered well enough to look realistic. Paint Effects works beautifully, and eventually I'll place clumps and varieties throughout, but covering such a large area by painting short grass all over is time consuming. All I've seen by searching online suggests using Paint Effects to paint in grass, which works, but it's extremely time consuming. If the only way is to spray a little bit then convert it to polygons, watch the coverage drop due to the polygon count, then repeat the process...something tells me this can't be the most efficient way.
How to more quickly cover a large area with decent looking grass. I suspect a nice combination of the right surface texture underneath Paint Effects might do the trick,.
I'm having a hard time illustrating two things: (1) grass (2) falling snow.

I started to get this strange error with my Photoshop when making a new document in Photoshop and got the following error: "cannot initiate Photoshop because Photoshop cannot create any more windows".
I thought the easiest thing to do would be to reinstall (Photoshop needs reinstalling extremely often unfortunately), but now when I try and open the program it just give an alert beep and closes back up. Even though I rarely use ImageReady, I opened that up to check and it does the same behavior.
Can anyone tell me what color settings I need to set in photoshop in order to avoid this from happening? It only happens once in a while and I don't know what I've done to fix it or screw it up. What happens is that when I'm in photoshop and I do a "save for web" my document jumps to image ready and when viewing '2 up' for optimization purposes and comparison, I realize that the original view is actually duller in color and does not look like the original in photoshop. The blacks are definitely not as black.
View 1 Replies View Relatedwhen I got my first Macintosh IICX and all of my MacPaint clip art. I don't want to get rid of the clip art because since I'm still using a black ink printer and not upgrading to a color one, the clip art looks nice in newsletters and the like.
Up until this time I had been using SuperPaint which had the New Superbits editing plug-in to refine the pictures so they had the smoother and cleaner lines instead of looking jagged. With my new computer and printer, I'm also getting Photoshop CS packaged with Adobe Creative Suite Premium, which I have never used before. Since I have not received my order yet, I was wondering if anyone could tell me whether Photoshop has the capability of improving the older MacPaint clip art like SuperPaint did with the New SuperBits editing plug-in. Over the past two days, I have been trying like crazy to back-up my pictures with SuperPaint and then re-saving them with Graphic Converter. It's been so incredibly slow that I thought I would go ahead and ask you, the experts, if Photoshop can also improve the quality of my older MacPaint clip art or if I should continue to back-up my clip art like I have been doing.
I have just got back from the Elbow gig and pulled the images off the card. They load up in Bridge but don't have actual picture thumbnails. They are named correctly, ie: IMG_3483.CR2 but they won't open!? Error message says 'Could not complete your request because Photoshop does not recognise this type of file'
I could see them on the back of the camera.
mac users... i did a software update the other day and I noticed that there was an update for ACR. Could it have been something to do with that? And why can't I find ACR in my Applications?

View 3 Replies View Related of Adobe Photoshop v6.0.1 (quite old, I know, but it do all I want and on my old HW I did not plan/want to use any more recent version, because they are HUGE and with just a little preferences trick, I did not need to reinstall my PS - ever ), yet as Czech user, I need my software to type some special characters as well. These are looking like this:
[URL]...
Now the only problem is, that some of them PS just refuse to type. Seven small and seven caps are just wrong. See the line "for PS:"...
I battled the problem even by editing the fonts itsels, because that seems to work with Adobe Illustrator, yet this also cause the edited fonts to be useless in another programs. So I looked deeply and in the Adobe settings in directory Fonts / Reqrd are directory CMaps and perhaps editing the character map used will be better and usable solution? how to do it or even determine with file from the 96 files in the CMaps directory are right now used by Adobe Photoshop?
Everytime I open my CS6, it always show " Could not initialize Photoshop because the preferences file was invalid (it has been deleted)" I reinstalled it but it is still popping out.
