I have created glass with the slate material editor, used specular 100, glossiness 80 in the Blinn dropdown. Ued mental ray. Looks good, very glassy. Now I want to put a pattern on the glass, like a silouette, only that it is also translucent, part of the glass, as though it was an "etched glass" pattern on the glass. Do i make the pattern into some kind of "mask"? and lay it over existing glass?
I have a little bit of skills with cs. I want to know if anybody out there knows how these glasslike tubes were made. Photo or Photoshop or what. I pretty much just want to try a few things with this style.

I really like those metallic shiny tube things,
I'm new to PSP and trying to fathom out tube transfers. In my tube folder there are quite a few tubes, but mainly on sheets of say 12 or more individual tubes.
How can I take one of those tubes from the sheet of say 12, because at present if I try to bring a tube into PSP, the whole sheet comes in.
I often have trouble bending shapes with nice gradients, typically a tube on technical concept drawings
I'm using a workaround of adding lines on top of each other with gradually brighter colours feathered but it's not really elegant and there are issues at the end of the lines.
How would you this if I want to keep the nice gradients and the tube needs bending?
I have lots of picture tubes from an old version of PSP. I now have PSP X5. What is the correct format for the pictures? I have both psp and tub.

I am having trouble getting my tubes to show up in the Tube tool drop down box. If they are downloaded with the .tub extension they show fine. But if the need to be converted they don't work. I've tried 2 different converter programs and couldn't get them to work.
I used PSP5 a long time ago and used a converter that worked great. Now can't seem to get anything to get my downloaded tubes to register in my Tube Tool .

Is it posible to show the user how the tubes gow befor chozing the second point?(A litle bit like when you stretch a dynamic block where you can see how the object will look like while preforming the stretch action).

The problem that i have is i am ainterior designer and want to produce large panes (or smaller sections on larger panes) of frosted glass in an interior enviroment. At the moment i work in 3ds MAX creating the glass in there and apply a blur to it in photoshop. Iknow you can prob create frosted glass in 3ds MAX but it can be quite render heavy..

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a picture that was taken on a very cloudy day through the window of a single engine aircraft. There is a considerable amont of glass reflection throughout the photograph which I would like to remove. Most of the reflection is seen in the clouds but there is also a condiderable amount in the water. Since the backround is mostly gray due to the weather the reflection shows up as a light grey to white against the grey. Could you tell me the best way to remove it? Is there a plug-in that will accomplish this quickly or must it be done through some other means?

So I googled "photoshop glass buttons" and found this tutorial Now I completed it fine and I think it is amazing. But I am wanting to make rectangle buttons. I have tried 6 other tutorials and followed them word for word and none of the buttons came out right. So I attempted to do the one I pasted above but using rectangle marquee tool. Except when I fill the space it doesnt have a solid edge around.
I was wondering if anyone could simplify or possibly show me a good tutorial for making rectangle glass effect buttons that definatley works.
