3ds Max :: Creating Etched Glass Pattern On Existing Glass Window
Mar 30, 2011Any way to put a detailed patten into my glass window.
I have created glass with the slate material editor, used specular 100, glossiness 80 in the Blinn dropdown. Ued mental ray. Looks good, very glassy. Now I want to put a pattern on the glass, like a silouette, only that it is also translucent, part of the glass, as though it was an "etched glass" pattern on the glass. Do i make the pattern into some kind of "mask"? and lay it over existing glass?

Aug 28, 2012i lost in PS6 my bar with the three colored 'balls'. And PS stuck on the finder bar of Mac osx. I can not move the complete PS frame any more. I tried already the 'F' key, Tab button with or without the Shift key, restarted my system, but nothing seems to work.

Apr 11, 2013The cursor changes from the pointer into the spinning balls as if PS is applying a filter or preparing to save, However I can still use the the tool while this is happening to brush or clone. For example when I use the clone tool (9 out of 10 times this is when it occurs) and im working on something quite delicate and the cursor changes to the spinning balls I am still able to carry on cloning but it very difficult to keep my accuracy because you cant see where your cloning.
Initially I thought I could just ignore it and it would only happen every so often and maybe for a second or two, but its quite frequent and and does last a while. Added to that the annoying disappearing cursor trick that also keeps happening, it all making PS very frustrating to use at the moment.

May 8, 2006I am wanting to buy/use software to enable me to create gif files that has bouncing balls with different letters on each ball.
I have tried to create them using paintshoppro, but this would involve creating each letter seperately, is there something that i can use where i change the text and the programe does the rest?

Jan 17, 2005Well, ran into an interesting filter result which looks similar to molten metal or something you would get with meta balls in a 3d program. Preety easy to get it too, just use your filter-render-fibers (default setting will work) then your filter-sketch-plaster (again, default settings may work) and whola. The problem that i have is i am ainterior designer and want to produce large panes (or smaller sections on larger panes) of frosted glass in an interior enviroment. At the moment i work in 3ds MAX creating the glass in there and apply a blur to it in photoshop. Iknow you can prob create frosted glass in 3ds MAX but it can be quite render heavy..

Sep 12, 2005I have a picture that was taken on a very cloudy day through the window of a single engine aircraft. There is a considerable amont of glass reflection throughout the photograph which I would like to remove. Most of the reflection is seen in the clouds but there is also a condiderable amount in the water. Since the backround is mostly gray due to the weather the reflection shows up as a light grey to white against the grey. Could you tell me the best way to remove it? Is there a plug-in that will accomplish this quickly or must it be done through some other means?

Nov 13, 2005Ok I am having trouble following the tutorial below for glass buttons. So I googled "photoshop glass buttons" and found this tutorial Now I completed it fine and I think it is amazing. But I am wanting to make rectangle buttons. I have tried 6 other tutorials and followed them word for word and none of the buttons came out right. So I attempted to do the one I pasted above but using rectangle marquee tool. Except when I fill the space it doesnt have a solid edge around.
I was wondering if anyone could simplify or possibly show me a good tutorial for making rectangle glass effect buttons that definatley works.
