View 4 RepliesI have several hard drives. Say D, E and F. I want to migrate or move the folders that are listed under each hard drive in my lightroom to say Hard Drive G. How do I do this so that all my keywords, and selects and color codes move with it? and that in lightroom G hard drive would be my only hard drive listed? I want to do this to get everything nice and orderly

I kept the transparency of image#1 and converted it to a bitmap, so no lens, but still the line. Finally I ditched the transparency I'd applied to image#1 and placed image#2 over image#1 to achieve the fade-out of image#1 that I had originally intended. Now image#2 is creating a line only evident when printed on that bloody Ricoh!

Is there a way to do burning or dodging sort of after the fact or should I do that very early on when I begin to edit the original photo?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI know there are zillions of tutorials on making burning texts and logos out there but the ones I found allways make things burn on a black (or dark) background using the wind effect.
Now, if I am right wind takes the brighter pixels and blow them into the darker ones. If you have a white background and black text the wind effect isn't working, couse it will give the effect of a burning background. The idea of using the wind effect is to make the flames come out of the text NOT go into it, right?
how to make a borning logo, text etc on a bright background? I have tried but it's not 100%.
I recently downloaded upgrade to CS6 and would like to burn a backup CD. I tried, but when I opened the backup CD I got a circle with a line through it (not allowed or available symbol) over the Photoshop icon.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to use the burn tool for a special effect but I want to do it on a new layer, I've read all about making a new layer set to overlay mode with 50% grey but this produces a different effect than when I burn the backround layer.
When using burn>highlights>15% on skin colour I get a grey kind of burn which is perfect but it destroys the pixles but when using the non-destructive method I get dark red effect which is not what im looking for.
I'm not using the burn tool in the typical sense (to darken part of the picture) I use the highlight/midtone/shadows seperate to create a very specific special effect with the burn tool.
I have taken a digital photo of a pile of bank notes, and want to make it look like they are burning.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy artwork is in 72dpi - 1920 by 1080 for HDTV... Artwork is clear and sharp on my computer. I understand to save to a BMP or TIFF instead of a JPG... but how can I acheive that same great clarity once I transfer that artwork to a DVD (for commercial purposes..)that I also want to send and share that DVD for others to view. Example: When you see a video game cut scene, or the menu screen... (such as in "Conan" for PS3) the cut scenes STATIC SHOTS are watercolor artwork (as mine) and they are brilliant in sharpness and clarity - though when I burned just a few of mine to a dvd... they were not up to good standards as previously explained.
Is it best to save to Blu Ray Disk or... Don't think it's compression yet as I only tested 3 pieces of art on one dvd. What is the best manner possible to put my artwork onto a DVD and get that same game design quality in appearance... and not slightly fuzzed out? The TV I viewed it on is a plasma 50in 1080p or i think.
I am trying to burn photos to a CD only the pictures that I flattened and deleted in a stack only leaving the top photo says that they are audio files and they will not burn on the CD. What have I done to save them audio files...and how do I correct the problem so that I can put these pics on a CD?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just bought an LG DVD burner and everything appears to be working well. I can burn a data DVD with Nero and do about 4 gb in 6 minutes. So, I know it's working okay.
When I try to burn a 53 minute DVD with Adobe Premiere Elements (home videos), I encounter problems. Basically, when its encoding the data (the first step) it says the time remaining is around 4-5 hours. Does this seem right?
Also, the CPU% goes really high. I tried burning it last night before I went to bed and when I woke up I had a virtual memory error. It looked like about 75% along the way it stopped with the error.
Now, I've been searching around reading about VM, etc. and I've tried a few things:
* expanding my VM
* closing down programs in the background both manually and with msconfig (all non-windows programs) then retried it
* defragged HD
* my hard disk has 10 gb remaining so that shouldn't be an issue.
In PS CS3 I had set up something very useful on my Wacom tablet. I had two buttons mapped to two different actions. They would do the following:
1) Load tool preset for Dodge, 25px soft round, 10%, Highlights
2) Load tool preset for Burn, 25px soft round, 10%, Shadows
With PS CS4 this doesn't work because of the new "Protect Tones" checkbox. If Protect Tones is on, the tool preset will not change from "Highlights" to "Shadows" automatically. It just gets stuck on whatever it was on previously. To make matters worse, Protect Tones turns itself ON every time you switch from Dodge to Burn, even if you've saved a Tone Preset with Protect Tones turned off!
I generally do my dodging and burning with an overlay layer. When burning, I typically have opacity set between 10 and 15%, and pain with a black brush. The layer is an overlay layer with 50% gray fill.
THIS MAY HAVE BEEN HAPPENING WITH CS5, IN WHICH CASE I'M CRAZY, SO JUST TELL ME, BUT I DON'T RECALL EVER SEEING THIS..........
BUT, when I burn in CS6, instead of just darkening the area, it APPEARS I'm also getting a color shift. I've checked to make SURE my colors are white and black (black in this case), and I've tried changing the mode of the brush from normal to luminosity just to see if that would make a difference.
I am wondering if it is necessary to fill an empty soft light layer with 50% neutral grey before dodging or burning with a black or white brush? Other than making the brush strokes more visible when viewing the layer by itself does filling the layer first with 50% neutral grey do anything else? If one was to have painted the same black and white brush strokes on an empty layer set to soft light would there be any difference?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have blended still photos, imported video AVI with it's own audio and music tracks. The work area was rendered and when I play the sections the music blends out and the video plays back as it's supposed to and even with full screen. Then I use the "Share" tab and burn a DVD using either a DVD-R or DVD+R and everything is fine except the video pieces that I want to play are silent.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have made a slide show with narration and music. Using Photorshop 10 Organizer.
1. The sound slider has no effect. The music does not dip when there is narration on a slide. Can this be solved?
2. I cannot burn the slideshow. Trying in Photoshop (trying a CD as well as DVD) it will not burn. The CD seemed to burn, but there was nothing on the disc when it said it was completed. Trying on the DVD it put me into Premiere Elements 10. It showed the soundtrack but not the pictures. During the burn the disc came out before burning had finished. Another time it completed the burn but there was nothing on the disc. sometimes the unknown error 2131042560 was quoted.
Is there a way to enable the "protect tones" box while working in Lab Color mode for dodging and burning?
View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently I am getting an error message when the X6 starts to burn the DVD.
All procesess before ( multiplexing, VOB generation etc.) are working fine but when the DVD steps into the burn phase there is an error 5.0.0. sometimes it goes several times not. The error has been repeated at least on 3 different computers.
The X6 is working fine. On my computer I did not change anything except recorded new videos for editing.
In previous versions I created VSP files. When I came to create a disk I could add one or more VSP files in the share section and then I could click on burn and go and have a meal. The VSP files don't now seem to be any use at all in the share section. I am back to using version 12 that seems to work
View 12 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to find the right tool for this job for over a year (Premiere Elements, Cyberlink, Corel, etc.) and in some way or another, they all let me down (usually during the rendering process). I have an LG Blu-ray burner I bought a year ago (all my software is up to date with the latest device drivers). I have created one blu-ray disc, a very simple one as a test and it works, but I can't remember the software I used. This weekend I tried using VideoStudio pro X3. When I went to the Share tab and clicked create disc, it launch dvd factory 2010 (I think) and blu-ray was not a format choice. I made sure my version (although trial) was fully up to date with all the latest updates.
View 6 Replies View RelatedIs there a facility in X5 to automatically verify a DVD after burning, I have looked but cant find one. When burning DVDs for customers I use X5 to make an ISO file then burn it using Nero Express 6 as there is a verify facility that can be selected. Maybe I am being too cautious but on a few occasions I have had discs fail the verify, I feel a bit more confident if it passes the verify the DVD is ok. If I can burn with a verify afterwards in X5 this will make the job a bit easier.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a version of VideoStudio Pro X3 that came pre-installed on an HP computer. It tends to crash, but I can muddle thru to the point where I can save a project as a video file. Once that step is done, there is no option, not even a greyed out button, that allows me to burn a DVD. The saved file is there, just can't do anything with it. Been thru the process and the instructions several times, the option to burn disks seems to be missing. Is this some sort of trial version, maybe stripped down? The option to export to portable device is also limited to low res WMV, no MP4, 3g2, etc.
I tried to run an update, but the program comes back stating that no new updates are available.
I have been using Ulead VS 11+ for some time with great results. I recently upgraded to Corel VideoStudio Pro X3. The video capturing and editing works flawlessly however when I then want to burn the video to DVD by selecting the “share” tab and make disk it seems to start up DVD Factory which I find totally lame compared to the DVD burning associated with SV11. There seems to be no advanced functions accessible, I can’t seem to insert a photo into the back ground of the menu title, I can't create new decorations to create new back grounds for my title, I can’t burn the project to an .iso file etc. etc. In addition if you save the project and then come back to it later it does not pick up you saved project, and it does not indicate where it has saved to project. Am I missing something here. At the moment I edit in SV ProX3 and burn in VS11.
