I get message "the file could not be edited because Adobe Photoshop CS5 could not be launched." "Some of the application components are missing from the application directory. reinstall the application."
I have reinstalled from my disk three times but still get these messages! How do I correct this problem?
I select image in LR2.7 to edit in PS6. It launches PS6 but image does not come through. It comes up with message "the file could not be edited because CS6 could not be launched" when in fact it has launched CS6 but not the image.
I have uninstalled LR2 a few times and reinstalled it and when I leave LR2 I can select image to edit in CS6 and it works okay but when I update on Adobe website to LR 2.7 it starts to play up and not work.
I have edited some Raw photos in Adobe Photoshop CS5. The photo size is less than 5 MB, but while uploading them to the sites such as Picasso or Facebook, I get an error. Not a single photo is getting uploaded.

View 22 Replies View RelatedWhen I send a file to Ps from Lr, edit that file then save it, Lr puts that file at the end of the line instead of next to the file I was working on. When you have 600 photos in a down loud, it is a pain to scroll through the photo's to find your place again.
Is there a setting to force the saved file back in line next to the file that was edited in Ps?
Open an .AI file saved on a netapp or windows shared directory with full permissions (prior to saving I noted that all security groups are intact in file properties as we have 2 for read and write access)Make any changesTry to save and get the prompt: Can’t save preview, but all other information was saved successfully. Notes:No issues with the same file in 10.7.x.
I've tested on all available Mac Pro / MacBook Pro machines and issue doesn't seem to happen on MacBook Pro retina?Photoshop and InDesign not affected

I have recently installed Photoshop CS6. I already had Photoshop Elements 8 on my PC. Before installing CS6, I could quite happily scan photos etc via my scanner, from within Elements 8, but now when I go 'File > Get Photos and Videos > From Scanner' within Elements 8 (with Photoshop CS6 not open at the time, incidentally), I get a message saying 'Software for this device could not be launched. The device is not connected or is busy'. I would like to be able to scan from either Photoshop applications.

I had already converted the PSE 11 catalog to PSE 12. I'm hoping there is a method to move the edited file from PSE 11 to PSE 12. Do I have any hope???

The problem comes when I launch a batch process. It takes a while to the computer to open the large .PDF files, and when a file is opened, well it doesn't go through the whole script. In fact, Photoshop® already open the second file and so on. Then without running the rest of the script/action .
What would be the best file format to use when saving an edited photo to a disc for the customer to view. JPEG?
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to edit an image in Photoshop from Lightroom 4 (CTRL+E), Photoshop CS6 launches immediately but with no image. In Lightroom 4, after about two minutes, the message box appears saying "The file could not be edited because Adobe Photoshop CS6 could not be launched." When I click OK, the image promptly opens in Photoshop CS6 like normal. This wan an itermittent issue for me after the LR4.1 release. I get the error every time.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a user using Windows 7 Pro 64-bit having issues with Adobe Illustrator CS5.5. When the user attempts to open .ai files stored on her local machine, the files will not open if Illustrator is launched. It will show an hour glass briefly as it is about to open, and then nothing happens. If she closes Illustrator and tries to reopen the same file, it will launch Adobe Illustrator and the file will open. She can also open files through illustrator. It just wont open .ai files when illustrator is already launched. This is happening when she is running illustrator as an adminitrator, and as well as when she is not an adminitrator.

When I go back and ck the photo properties of the photo I saved after editing it has saved it at only 131kb. I am having difficulty generating files with VS X3. The app works fine opening the source files, editing and preview playback. Preview replay has audio and is very smooth. However, all generated files have no audio. The files I'm working with are recordings using the Hauppauge HD PVR controlled by BeyondTV (V4.9.2). Those fies are MPEG-2 Transport files, having the extension *.tp. VS does not recognize the TP extension - which is very frustrating. When I change the extension to M2T, they import fine.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOne of my users has a strange problem. While editing a drawing (opened from the network), the drawing switches to read-only when she tries to save it, and the .dwg file on the network folder from which she opened the file disappears. The lock files are still there, but the .dwg is gone. She can do a Save As, so she hasn't lost any work (yet!), but the problem has me perplexed.
This problem started when we converted her to Civil 3D 2011. At the same time we also upgraded her to Windows 7 64-bit.
I have about 20 other users on this same platform, she's the only one who's had this problem. I've done a repair install but that didn't fix it. I haven't yet done a full uninstall & reinstall, maybe that's what I should do next.
I have a network recovery bin application running on the server, but it has no record of the file being deleted.
When I edit a photo in Photoshop from Lightroom (ie. Edit in -> Edit in Adobe Photoshop CC...) the photo opens as normal, I edit the photo as normal, and when I hit save, it saves and the edited photo appears in Lightroom - all as per normal. BUT, the edited photo doesn't have the rating and labelling applied to it that the non-edited photo has. So, for example, if I have given a photo a 3 star rating in Lightroom, and then edit and save that photo in Photoshop, when the edited photo appears in Lightroom, it doesn't have a star rating anymore).
I've used Lightroom and Photoshop together for 6 years and never had a problem with this - the photo has always reappeared in Lightroom with the same ratings and labels that the non-edited photo has.
This is a real problem to use when we've filtered a bunch of photos to edit. Everytime we edit one we have to go back to Lightroom, turn off the filtering, find the edited photo, add the ratings, turn the filtering back on and go to the next photo - a real pain when we have 50 images to do in a row..
I can only guess this is a bug with either the new Lightroom, or new Photoshop CC (guessing it is actually a Photoshop problem as I think it appeared around the time it was updated by CC, but I could be wrong).
I have many files which I created by making a copy of the original and editing it. I have the original file with no edit history. The copy which shows the results of the editing is marked as a missing file and the edit history is greyed out. Both file share the same name with the exception that one is a copy. Is there any way to re-link these files? When I try to search for the missing file and point to the original, it tells me that the file is already linked to a file and can't be linked to a second file.

I did some editing to some MPEG-4 video files and when I was finished I found out that the file sizes of each video blew up to huge numbers. During the editing I did add some transitions and .MPEG photo images. I didn't think that the video size would grow to that amount. I really would like to keep the MPEG-4 format for the convenience to the viewer. I just need to have it in the smallest file size possible. how I can get my "MP4 H264 - MPEG-4 AVC Resolution 640x480" videos to an acceptable file size?

As suggested in the following link [URL]...I created a Filename Preset with this format: Myname-YYYY-MM-DD-Filename Number Suffix. This preset works as expected when I export files that haven't been edited in Photoshop CS5. However, when I save a file after editing in PS and return to LR the file name look like this: Myname-YYYY-MM-DD-4369-Edit.tif. When I then use my Filename Preset when exporting, LR strips off the "-4369-Edit". I don't care about loosing the "-Edit" but I want to retain the Filename Number Suffix. How can I retain my filename number suffix?

I have Autocad 2007 and already have created a few custom linetypes by creating a new .line file that i edited with notepad.
My question is can i create a custom linetype intuitively by drawing myself the linetype on my autocad screen and then entering it somehow in Autocad without having to bother with linetype code.
I just upgraded to the Creative Cloud on my PC, downloaded PS CS6 - Bridge and Camera Raw. I'm configuring and working with CR2 files, no problem, however, Bridge will not let me delete, rename or update the metadata of my jpgs.
