AutoCad 3D :: Generate 3D Polyline From Sliced Edge Of Surface
Jul 29, 2011I was wondering if you could generate a 3D poly line from a surface which I have sliced. I am trying to establish retaining wall heights in a cutting on an embankment. I have generated the slope using 2 3D polylines offset and edgesurfed between them. I then put my proposed footpath at the desired location. When I needed to slice the mesh I had to convert it to a surface. It worked but I now do not have any nodes that I can connect vertical lines to in order for me to design wall heights etc.
Is there a way to generate a 3D poly from the sliced edge of a surface.

Edge Animate CC :: Any Way To See DOM STRUCTURE Of Project
Jul 20, 2013debugging in Edge Animate projects.
a - I use console.log("message"), and developer tools window to sort of double check stuff. is there any other way t to see the values of different parameters in my code when it is running?
b - The only place to check errors, is "ctrl+E" window (main code window), correct? it usually highlights the syntax error on bottom.
c - Is there anyway to see the DOM STRUCTURE of the project? it would be really useful, if we had a button on Code panel that could quickly reveal the DOM structure and elements ID, names, for faster access. Currently i use naming methods to sort of figure things out looking at the symbol / elements panel.
d - How do you make sense of the error, "Java event Handler error" which refers to the .js file and gives no hints to any code line.

My question is related to released state of iparts. Currently we are generating/ releasing
all the iparts when new member is added in order to manintain the parent child version relationship
Example : say i have a ipart 41020.ipt and i have members 41020- 001 ~ 008 . I check out the parent
from Vault and add 009 member to it.
Question :
Do I have to generate all and check those in to maintain the version relationship between the child and parent inside
Vault 2013 ?
Or
Only generating 009 will maintain version relationship inside Vault 2013

AutoCAD Inventor :: Can't Project Single Cut Edge?
Aug 1, 2012I remember that you used to be able to specifically pick out individual cut edges to project to a 2D sketch. Maybe it was 2010? However, I come across this issue again and again since the new 2011 and now 2012 where I must project all cut edges. I can no longer figure out how to just project the ones I want. This can be every frustrating when dealing with complex shapes. Is this no longer possible?

Edge Animate CC :: Make Project Fit All Screens?
Nov 7, 2013I'm having trouble making my project fit all screens.
This is my project link: [URL]
I've made this project 7000px wide - scrollable horizontal - with a fixed object (the shopping cart) to make it feel like you are pushing the cart along the street. I then set height to about 1200 px, to prevent the bottom of the screen to go white.
I want this project to look good on mobile, iPad, laptop and PC/Mac - both orientations.
I thought I was in the clear with theese settings, but checking it on a small screen (laptop), the bottom of the stage fell out of the screen. And we can't have that...
I tried setting the height to 100%, tried having a smaller height (800px) and setting the background color to green, tried hiding and showing the overflow, but I can't seem to hit the perfect settings for this to work.
My inspiration comes from this project:[URL] Now, this works - as far as I can see - on all screens, both orientations.

Nov 25, 2013I'm trying to work on a project I created a few months ago in Edge. However, when I try to open it in Edge Animate CC, it just displays a blank screen (See image).
The timeline, the canvas, the properties, nothing seems to be populated. If I drag the time line back to 0:00, an alert pops up saying "An error occured. Please save your work and restart Edge Animate." The exported HTML file still seems to work fine though. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Edge, but that hasn't seemed to work.
EDIT: This seems to be an intermittant problem. Sometimes, the file displays correctly, sometimes it doesn't. If I close the program and open it again, the issue re-occurs.

Mar 27, 2012I'm trying to project an edge of a cylinder in a "detail" view. Here's the process I'm taking. Click the view and pick "create sketch", then I pick "Project Geometry". Then I pick the edges of the cylinder I'd like to project and it only projects one side. I can select the edge, but when I right-click and pick done it won't project it. It appears to me that it's only allowing one edge of the same object to be projected. I've tested other objects and it seems to only do this with cylinders.
Is this a setting or a bug in 2012?

Photoshop :: Flow Charts?
Oct 31, 2008We have a project to make flowcharts in Photoshop. I know there are programs specifically used to produce flowcharts, but PS CS3 is what we have. We have the text boxes and now trying to decide what line tool to use to connect the boxes. We tried the brush and pencil tool at 6 pixels and hold down the shift key to draw horizontal, then click and hold shift again for vertical, but we are getting "ink/Paint" blotter bleed.
I tried the pen tool, but it doesn't seem to allow you to draw a single line one way, select it and then apply a 6 pixel stroke. Is it possible to use the pen tool this way?

Mar 7, 2012 I have not been able to the nice feature of pressing shift+ number to control the amount of flow while painting for some time now (or to control the amount of opacity with airbrush on). This feature was great when I first started using it back in PS7 but I haven't seen it since the last few packages.
