i have never done anything related to the STARFIELD or gaseous space kinda technique on photoshop before. I saw this cover at site and i wondered:
a) how the artisted blended in all those layers to make that OUTER SPACE look.
b) how those stars had TRAILS after them, like comets.
i really wanna learn how to mix in things like that to make a spacey artwork.
I'm looking to start making wallpaper on the theme of space and cover any empty areas with gaseous galaxies, something akin to this and this. But I don't really know how to go about creating something like that so any advice would be much appreciated.

Obviously a logo doesn't look exactly the same each time it's used. So where does the line get drawn? At what point is the logo so distorted that it's no longer protected by a trademark?
And another thing I was wondering about is if you trademark an image and make different / more elaborate versions of the original, will it also be covered by the TM? For example if you trademark the logo on the right, will the other 2 versions also be protected?

and I'm just trying to tweak so it looks 100% legit. Specifically what font to use, text color and text placement. I know some of the white text is hard to read...what color could I change it to without messing up my color scheme?
I'm bringing out a bodyboarding dvd, but need a little help with the design of the cover. Its titled "Scratching the surface". I was trying to find a tutorial that would demonstate how to get a decent scratch effect or even some claw marks but couldn't find anything.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been making a cover for a dvd. I created a new project with the dimensions of the dvd cover which is: height: 18.2 cm, width: 27.2 cm. I finished the cover, and am now having difficulty printing.
I first tried flattening the image, creating a bmp, and printing with XP's photo printing wizard, but it came out that the height was ok - a little off, but the width was nearly 2cms too short. I tried just printing from photoshop, but it tried scaling it down. And, by the way, I am new to Photoshop CS3!

I'd suggest something matching with the text.. something dark and devilish? Also also, do keep in mind that it should be in a proportion to fit the facebook cover perfectly.

The hard part is, the company is doing a full rebrand and one of the members is not available to do a new photo shoot so we have to use the wonderful existing ones but need to go over the old logo. I have cropped the photo out as much as I can but have not had enough luck with using the cloning tool on such a large space with a small amount of light change as it comes up looking like the bright blue wall behind us is streaky.
