Since installing 14.1, flyout items in drop down menus have started appearing to the left of the drop down menu not the right. Grateful to know how to fix this.
View 2 RepliesI recently downloaded and installed the latest version update. Everything seems to be working fine. However, one thing is not. The Set line width box in the flyout menu does not allow typing in a custom number. I thought it might have been a problem with my Cintiq but it is the same on my main monitor.
The Set line width box in the main toolbar works fine. But the one in the flyout doesn't work. I can select a setting from the dropdown list but just can't type in something like 1.5. It doesn't matter if I use my number pad--with the numlock on--or the keyboard numbers. Another strange thing I just noticed, when trying to type in a number in the flyout box, I cannot type 1 or 2 or a period but I can type in 0,3-9 although none of these changes the width of the line.
This worked okay in the previous version so perhaps it is a bug in the new release? (7.1.2.18680)
How do I add custom menu items to the main menu in Illustrator?
I would like to build my own menu with scripts that I use alot. This is a powerful feature that I use alot in other programs, but I have not seen any examples of this in illustrator.
I am using AutoCAD 08. I have been noticing that when I create a Multi-page PDF by creating a New Sheet Set. That some of the Items(Text, Numbers or Lines) in Paper Space are not appearing on the page that they should but instead appearing on the next page. In the location where it should be on the previous page. Is there a way to fix this bleed through or is there a better way to create a Multi-Page PDF other than what I have been doing?

Something went wrong in my system and now if I left click no selection window is appearing. For selection window to appear I have to drag the mouse instead of just moving it (which is the normal behavior).
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using CS4 for Mac. My tools and window panels were missing on the side. I placed them back in but noticed something odd happened under the Image tab in the menu bar. Normally I can select from the color modes under Image to change RGB photos to CMYK. For some reason, the CMYK mode is now missing unless I manually select SHOW ALL MENU ITEMS at the bottom of Image - Mode tab. How do I fix it so that all the color modes appear when I go to Mode under the Image tab? This happens every time now when I open a new file. It doesn't seem to save when I quit out of the program. I couldn't find it in Photoshop preferences.

This is happening for all of my windows (Navigator, preferences, etc.) I have to close the program and re-open to fix.
Running Windows7 64-bit. 12 GB RAM with an ATI FirePro V8700 card with 1 GB on it as well. I have all of the latest drivers for the card (installed yesterday). This should be blazingly fast, and it's chugging along like my CS3 used to with 4 GB RAM. Are these issues with speed and the corruption of the menu items related?
In Photoshop (Mac OS X), I typically use the pattern type cmd+shift+/ to open the help menu, type the phrase of the menu item I want to use, and then hit enter to activate the selected menu item.
I just checked Photoshop CC and the enter key does not seem to correctly behave as it should. Instead of activating the selected menu item, it just dismisses the help menu.
Is there a way to force the enter key to behave correctly, as it does in other apps?
Why are my menu items greyed out until I hit a tool icon?Example .....open Photoshop, click "FILE" = everything greyed out except "recent" whose submenu (list of recent files) greyed out. View 4 Replies View Relatedmy default extensions that come with photoshop cs6 extended and also custom installed plug-ins won't appear when clicked on. Usually you see a checkmark by the plug-in if it is working and is visible on the photoshop layout as a panel. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, which the Kuler extension worked, but only under the workspace that I opened it up for. So for example, I opened it up on Essential workspace, but it wouldn't appear when changed to painting workspace. When I close the panel from the workspace, it won't ever come back up again even when clicked on under the extension drop-down menu on any workspace. This is occurring not just on my desktop, but also on my laptop. Both are not Photoshop CC, but regular Photoshop CS6.
I don't really mess around with the extensions much, but once I found out about the painters wheel plugin, I really wanted to try it out, hence now noticing this extension issue with my plug-in..All my plug-ins appear on the drop down menu for Windows > Extensions, so it shouldn't be a file placement problem. I have also tried the Adobe troubleshoot for plugins by uninstalling my plug-ins to see if third party plug-ins were the problem, but still my default plug-ins won't even work.
how do i get the left side of my menu bar in photoshop elements 6, to show the edit, file, view, find, window and help buttons. Only the camera and little house show up. The only thing that shows is a tiny arrow which is barely visible. All was okay the first time I installed to another computer (which has since crashed). View 3 Replies View RelatedI was working on max using the hair a fur modifery to try and test out something when I noticed somethign strange. When I right clicked in the view port to bring up the options (exsample cut, convert to polygon, hide, fezze ect.) it wouldn't come up. Hears what I've tried. Reinstal max, get a copy of the default interface from a school computer and tried loading that, turning off windows 7 's background color transparancy, removing all things installed right before the problem, run a system check for errors, a viruse scan and right now I'm trying a full restore from a back up. I don't know what's going on. I suspected that my graphic's card drive might be the caulprate but I checked that as well and it says that its all clear. I took the files that had the problem to other computers and they had no issue. It doesn't matter what file I load either this is universal. I can start with a blank file and the right click view port menue won't come up.

I'm using Adobe Photoshop CS3 10.0.1.
When launching, the window labeled "Adobe Design Suite Premium CS3" opens - it's only filled with white, and no text or graphics (I think it's usually the window asking me if I want to register, which always comes up when I launch the program (rather annoying in itself). However, now it seems that the launch gets "hung" on this window, as, even the the program starts, all the menus are grayed out, and I can't open any files or do anything. Also, the window mentioned above only has the yellow "minimize" button available in the top left corner, so I can't close it or otherwise get rid of it. Since even the Quit function is grayed out, I have to quit the program with a force quit. Also, this same thing happens in my other CS3 programs (In Design) as well.
I tried trashing the photoshop plist file (com.adobe.photoshop.plist) and also the com.adobe.118.registration file, which had no effect.
I have installed Trimble Link for Civil3D 2010 and the menu will not appear in Civil3D anywhere.I re-installed it 2 times, which sucessfully completes, but to no avail.I checked cui and it's not there to add either.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am updating a user to ACADM 2010 from R14. His actual R14 menu was customized so that the menu bar shows 'File' 'Drawings', 'Options', 'Edit', 'View', etc. from left to right. So far I have been able to get the 'Drawings' and 'Options' added to the classic 2010 menu.
However, the 'Drawings' and 'Options' show clear the right of 'Help' (see attachment). I need to get them moved over to a position between 'File' and 'Edit'.
These are drop downs with 5 to 6 levels. Having them on the right makes them look very messy because the cross back and forth.
I've recently installed AutoCAD 2014 and am working to get it compatible with my company's internet standards.
There are some features that are not cool with our IT & Security to have enabled in our office.

I am wondering if it is possible to have pulldown menus items be brought in on the layer that they were created on versus the layer that your template has current. I created pull down menus and (not thinking ahead) put them all on layer 0. They come in with all the attributes they were created with, but come in on the current layer. Can I change that?

Trying to setup my machine at home to match my machine at work. To clear things up, I'm running ACA 2009 on both machines, both are running XP Professional, although I'm running XP Professional at home through VMWare Fusion 4 on my MacBook Pro and I really doubt that could cause these issues since a coworker is having these issues at work on a PC.
First of all when I startup ACA 2009 almost everything is missing! When I go to profiles and load the imperial profile I get the wonderful ribbon, which I immediately use RIBBONCLOSE to turn off but then I don't have any file menus. I have the large A in the upper left corner but it only has File, Edit, and Exit I believe. So I used MENULOAD to get the ACAD.cui back up and then reinserted the install CD to add EXPRESSTOOLS back (...why aren't this included to start....that's for another time).
So now I have a something pretty close to my work machine after moving some properties, xref, and tool palettes around. I don't really use any buttons so it is a pretty minimalist desktop. Now down to the real question...
Where did the Project Browser and Style Managers disappear to? I know, I know, ending in a preposition...I can't think anymore today and Autodesk you are responsible. Is it just me or does Autodesk seem to be hiding more and more from us with each release every year? I can type ProjectBrowser into the command line and it will appear but it isn't under the File menu and more and I honestly couldn't find the Style Manager command prompt so I can't tell you if that works.
How do I get these two items to reappear, neither of the two buttons existing either in the standard ACAD.cui configuration next to Tool Palette, etc
Also, why don't the profiles work anymore? If I save it under profiles and reload it the next time everything is messed up nothing happens, and yes the shortcut I use to start ACA references that profile.
