I would love to be able to export my image from 3d spherical panorama back to the complete Image. Raster image clips the image. Photoshop 3D is great for retouching the nadir (bottom) a spherical panorama image.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got a dodgy Google Earth screenshot that I've chucked into CAD to scale it (approximately) and more importantly align it to the correct coordinate system as per the survey. However, I need to use that image in another modelling program (which only accepts image files).
Question is - is it possible to export just an image from Autocad back to an image file? I obviously don't want to plot the entire drawing to PDF/BMP or anything, simply extract the image that I have resized. Or any other way of getting an image from Google Maps or the like and scaling it correctly?
I have a very large image I need to export as a jpg, or gif, or png or any image type but whenever I do the gradients turn out terrible and the overall quality isn't much better. Mainly though the gradients turn into blocky areas and not smooth like it looks in PS. How can I export it to keep it looking as good as photoshop?

1. Should Photoshop be used if I am considering importing into Edge (File Size issues?)
2. Is Adobe Edge suitable to animate this design? - Why? (Note: I am looking for the pitch to rotate and stop at certain frames when user will click on certain links.
3. This is planned to be hosted on a CMS Joomla, where users will have access to certain animaitons based on membership (tiered) - Why?
I'm using CS5 (Windows) and I'd like to export a video as an image sequence BUT I want to define the frame interval (e.g. export ONLY every 5th frame and ignore the rest). I guess it's possible to manually delete those frames that I don't need after exporting them; however, I have thousands of frames and it work if I could automate it.
Is it possible to do this in Photoshop or should I look for another software?
I have been using CS4, 5, 6, LR 4, LR5. I never experienced this until 6 months ago.
I was using LR4 to edit image, then export to CS5 to do retouched. Once I finished editing the image, I saved it as JPEG in my computer. When I upload to Facebook, the color looks normal. But when I upload to, for instance, Craigslist, or some other web host, I see the color tone changed, and you can see how it changed in the picture below.
I tried to figure out what happen. I bought a new computer, I got a new CS6, LR5, etc. The problem still there.
I am guessing the problem is the Camera Raw, so that I downloaded and installed Camera Raw 8.1 to my CS6. But no luck.
The only solution I have so far is to save the pictues as "Save for web" in CS6 and it doesn't change the color when I upload to any website.
PS. I never have any problem like this before. I tried to use my old pictures from a year ago, and upload to the web.. they look fine.
just started with my lightroom 4 / photoshop cs5 set up? when i edit a image in lightroom4 and export to photoshop cs5 ,the image apears to be over exposed ,quite a lot.i export from lightroom with lightroom adjustments and it keeps coming into photoshop overexposed.

View 12 Replies View RelatedIs there away to "one-click" export an image to a set of .png files with different resolutions? (I need this for a set of iOS app icons).
For example: Export a file MyAppIcon.psd into the following:
MyAppIcon_29x29.png
MyAppIcon_57x57.png
MyAppIcon_114x114.png
MyAppIcon_512x512.png
MyAppIcon_48x48.png
MyAppIcon_72x72.png
I almost succeeded in doing this with Photoshop Actions, but can't figure out how to make the file names include the original image file name. In other words, file NewApp.psd should export to NewApp_29x29.png, not MyAppIcon_29x29.png.
Export video files or image sequences?

Long time photoshop and lightroom user (long time user of all things Adobe). First post here in the forums. I did a search for my question but I think it was too specific, so it returned zero results.
My question is about Lightroom's JPEG export vs Photoshops Image Processor. When I export a RAW file to JPEG from Lightroom, the file size is freaking huge. The JPEG is as big as my original RAW file (~25mb). Settings are set to default - 100 quality. Everything else remains untouched.
However, when I use Photoshop's image processor (I launch it through Bridge, easier that way for me) and process the RAW images that way, my JPEGs are roughly 5-10mb in size. Settings in Image Processor are quality 10 and thats it. No actions being run or anything.
why Lightroom exports JPEGs that are roughly 2-4 times the size of Photoshop's JPEGs? My initial thoughts are that the 100 quality setting in Lightroom is more like Photoshop's quality 12 (that always makes me think of Spinal Tap - "Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder?" "These go to eleven.") Ideally, exporting out of Lightroom would be much easier for my workflow.
I have a PSB file which is about 70,000 pixels wide. Height is much lower. I am not able to save it as PNG unless i made the width 30,000 pixel or below.
How can i save it as PNG file ?

I've created an image file in Illustrator and exported it as a .png file. The dimensions are 1000x200 but when I export it the file size changes and becomes bigger. I therefore have to change the file size in Fireworks making sure that the quality is kept as Photoshop does not do it for me. Previously when I exported the files the backgrounds appeared transparent after saving but maybe I've changed a setting by accident that has changed this. I'm selecting the 'Save as' and Flattened png option at 32bit in FW.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a designer that created this beautiful (but complicated) design in illustrator and now we're trying to get it exported to html. The thing is, most of the images that are in tds we want to be background images so that we can put stuff on top of it. So we need the exported html to generate the image size correctly. For example, I don't want
<img src="someimage.jpg" width="100" height="100"...
but
<img src="someimage.jpg">
The problem is that illustrator for whatever reason is generating the images slightly too small (I guess to make the image size smaller?), then is stretching them using width and height attributes. As I'm sure you guys are aware of, the background attribute has no way of specifying a width and height.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI encountered an interesting problem yesterday while trying to export an image as a jpg. I've outlined what I did.
I had a jpg file of dimensions 150wide X 100 high. Lets call this small.jpg . I had another jpg image that was much larger. Let's call this large.jpg . I wanted to change the size of large.jpg to have the same dimensions as small.jpg.
For convenience, I pasted the large.jpg onto small.jpg and then used the resize tool. When I clicked on export I got the following error-
Saving `large_to_small.jpg` failed
JPEG image plug-in could not save image. I could have sworn that I've done this before and it worked. So I wasted a lot of time trying to `fix` GIMP.
Solutions
1. Don't paste onto a pre-existing image. Create the canvas size you require then paste the image then resize and export.
2. If you do happen to paste an image onto another for resizing. Close all the files except the current one you are working with. Now choose select all and copy then go to file >>create>> from clipboard. The new image should be of the same dimensions. Export.
One thing I should mention, even though there was an error, the image large_to_small.jpg was created (file size 0 bytes). As you would expect, the jpg file couldn't be opened in GIMP.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have GIS data imported from an ArcSDE database that are the base to rubbersheet scans of legacy maps for georeferencing. The native coordinate system for the database is HARN/CA.CA/Teale which appears in my MAP 3D coordinate systems and seems to be a well known system. For simplicity's sake, I would prefer to operate in the native coordinate system of our GIS database. After I get the map image georeferenced I try to use the EXPORT IMAGE routine from the Raster Design menu to save the image for future use, but there's no entry for HARN/CA.CA/Teale in the PROJECTED selection for the GEOTIFF export option. I have been able to export it from the GEOGRAPHIC 2D selection as LL83 coordinates, but when I try to reference that image in a drawing having a different coordinate system (CA-III for instance) no transformation is performed.
Does Raster Design truly understand and translate from one coordinate system to another? I have a suspicion the Raster Design doesn't reference the same coordinate system library the Map 3D does. Is there some secret location where I need to copy the coordinate system file? I've had no problem referencing DWG files from different coordinate systems in MAP 3D.
When you're working on an image in GIMP, typically there's a bunch of selection and path spam all over the canvas, and checkered patterns for transparency, and all that stuff.
Is there a way to easily see what your image will look like when exported, without exporting it every single time you want to see what the image will look like?
Lightroom 4.1 will not export a deleloped image. I have the metadata to new file set to automatic and I get no error mesage. All my new exported files are the same as the original. I need a detailed discription of what boxes need to be checked or unchecked and where to find them. Something as simple as saving changes so that I might use them in another app should not be so difficult- version 2.7 worked fine so what's up with 4.1?
