My version of PSE 11, which I just bought, does not show this area to the right of the main display area. Also, the main display area includes a bunch of frames with names like "A_Taste_of_Sicily.mp3". Is this because my version of PSE 11 is different from the version used by the writers of the Dummies book or is there something I need to do first?

I have included a short animation showing what the current process is. Without redrawing using AEC objects, is there a way to cut down on the amount of clicking to pull of this task?

I am trying to edit some pictures that a customer of mine has taken. They are of silver utensils wrapped with beads and the way she has taken them, there is a huge shine reflection on them. There are 25 current pictures all using the same dark background.
I have fiddled with the adjustment brightness and highlights, but they come out looking gray and fake, so I removed those adjustments.
I tried using burn the bright spots and then dodge the coloured stones to bring back some luster. No matter what i am doing, it no longer is a silver utensil, it is a picture that has been poorly edited, and that simply isn't okay.
Here are some examples of the raw picture I am working with [URL] ...........
I need to reduce the glare/reflection and the stones need to be vibrant.

How can I do this several (or all) at a time, instead of individually editing each one, using my Photoshop Elements 11 or 12? I cannot find an action for this in the action menu. If not possible within Elements, is there anything "free," or do I have to get Creative Suite or the like?

I recently completed a slideshow that contains about 360 photos, many or all of which exceed the maximum size of 1000 x 750 pixels. Is there any way that I can easily reduce the pixel size of each of the photos? If upgrading to the most recent versions of Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements would accomplish this I would be willing to do this.

View 1 Replies View Relatedhere are my system specs. Windows XP Pro Sp3. 2GB ram. PS CS4 on a 160GB Raptor (10k RPM). Scratch on a 7500 RPM. 3 monitors (2 on a Dual head Nvidia 7800 GT) and 1 on a single head Nvidia 6800 GT.
Left monitor on the single head Nvidia 6800GT
Middle monitor (my main monitor) and right monitor, on a Dual head Nvidia 7800 GT
Here are the questions:
1. I have not noticed a speed bump with CS4 over CS3. Would it help if I take my main monitor off the Dual Card and put it on its own card. In other words, swap the left and middle monitors so that the left and right monitors are on the Dual Nvidia 7800 GT and the Middle (main) monitor is on the Single Nvidia 6800 GT own card?
2. Should I leave the scratch disk on the slower 7500 rpm separate HD or is it more efficient to put it back on the same Raptor 10k RPM hard drive as the CS4 Program?
3. with not noticing any faster speed, I tried to upgrade from 2GB to 3GB and found out I can not (32 bit OS limitation (can only see 2GB)) from several sources. However, that one is not closed yet because some say a 32 bit OS (Window XP) can see a max of 4GB. I am only throwing question 3 into the mix because if may be a factor. I will be talking to Dell later today.
