Feb 23, 2014After I upgraded to Windows 8.1, PSE 11 no longer finds my IOGEAR GFR209 card reader with an SDHC card in it when I try to import pictures - with Windows 8 I had no problems. I get the message "Device Not Found" in Photo Downloader when I go: Organizer > File > Get Photos and Videos > From Camera or Card Reader. I tried doing a "Refresh List" but it made no difference.
I can though, see the reader, SDHC card and all its image files in Windows File Explorer, so my PC is recognizing the device. I also tried re-insalling PSE 11 and then updating it by going Help > Updates ... but it made no difference.

Dec 8, 2012I just bought Photoshop Elements 11 recently and I'm trying to import photos and videos from my phone, Samsung Galaxy SIII, but having a little trouble.
When I go to "Import from Camera or Card Reader" option and choose my phone from the "Get photos from" drop down menu in "Source" section the "Photo downloaded" finds every single photo and/or video stored on the device and it's memory card but I'm trying to import only photos and/or videos I've shot my self with the phone, witch is kept in an folder named DCIM, but I simply can't figure out how to so my question is: How do I import photos and/or videos from my Android device?
3ds Max :: No Cuda Device Found
Sep 12, 2012Ok i have 3ds max 2013 student edition,with a amd quad 4 cpu,and i just bought this card URL...,it says it has 384 cuda cores,and i know it works because i used it with a video editing program,and ran some tests without cuda enabled and disabled it performed rather well,but when i try to use the iray render in max it says no cuda device found,and i have updated the drivers and all of that,what i need to know is in simple terms is my card compatible with max 2013 which is (geforce gt 640).

Nov 29, 2012How can I import photos from cd's to Elements 8? I had to reboot my computer system and short of copying the photos from the cd to the computer and then to the sd seems to be the only way I have found. Is there a better way to imkport directly from the cd's?

Sep 3, 2013I just transferred 10,000 photos... all tagged beautifully in my previous computer..that are no longer tagged. I installed Elements 6 and imported the photos along with tags according the screen, but once the import is done less than 100 of the photos are actually tagged. I also have a newer version of elements that I want to use on this computer but thought I should try to make the original version work before upgrading. What do I need to do to get the tags back?

Jan 14, 2014Recently I downloaded the PSE 9 program from a disk onto my new computer. When I opened it to use I am unable to find under "Organize" the "File", "Edit", "Find", "View", "Window" and "Help" on the upper bar/area. I uninstalled and reinstalled the program but still do not see those options. I'm just begining to learn about PSE 9, so am new to all this.
What am I missing or not doing exactly right that I'm have dificulty trying to view and use the above? I can start to use the program with photos download on my computer, camera or external hard drive.
Photoshop Elements :: Importing Photos From Different Hard Drive Folder
Mar 18, 2014I recently took a number of photos, which I then put onto my hard-drive in a temporary folder - so I could view them on the monitor using the ordinary windows viewer. A day or so later, I went into Photoshop Elements 11 and imported them into the catalog. I thought that by doing so I would copy them from the temporary folder into the "main" folder - the one where all the photos are imported to when I import them from the camera's memory card. So I then deleted the temporary folder. And then I found that the photos were not actually in the main folder after all. They had remained in the temporary folder, despite being added to the catalog (and where now deleted).
Is there a way to make PSE 11 move or copy the photos from a folder on the hard drive to the "main" folder?
Lightroom :: 5 - Mark Photos On External Device As (not New)
Jan 30, 2014I imported many photos from my external device (CF card or iPhone) manually, i.e. I think Lightroom does not recognize that I have already imported all those Photos.
Now I want to change my workflow and import them directly from the device. I want to use the functionality that only "new" Photos are shown and imported. However, Lightroom marks all thousands of Photos on my iPhone and CF card as new. How can I manually "unmark" all Photos on the card as "new" such that Lightroom will identify the "next" Photos as new but not the old ones?
How does the "new" detection algorithm work anyways? Will it work correctly if I move the imported pictures afterwards or delete some?

However when I'm done importing and put the photos on my desktop into my trash bin, the photos in lightroom say "“IMG_7944.jpg” could not be used because the original file could not be found." Mar 24, 2014In trying to get to grips with the Color management aspects of PSE11, I have encountered the following problems: Having selected "Display" a sequence of clicks (Change display settings -> Advanced settings -> Colour Management -> Colour Management tab -> Colour Management) gives a screen which includes the headings:Device Profile and Viewing Conditions Profile.
1. Device Profile. Besides sRGB and ARGB, the profile list includes the profiles for all of the Epson papers.I changed the Profile to an Epson Grayscale, this was accepted within the menu, but there are no changes from normal when I viewed the image on the Windows screen or within PSE11. ("normal" is sRGB or ARGB). I thought it worth a try to test that, if I wanted the display image to closely represent what I would get on a particular Epson paper, this may be a way to do it.So what is the purpose of all of the paper Profiles appearing in the Display listing?
2. The Viewing Conditions Profile has also several options. I have tried to find the criteria for choosing one rather than the other, but failed to find any information. I seek general guidance rather than the details of the Profiles.
Selecting Image on the PSE11 menu across the top of the displayed image, and then Convert Colour Profile, I tried this process on an image, converting tiff to sRGB. When saved there was an extra asterisk in the saved title but in this case, the file was still labelled tiff and there was no change in the number of Mbs. If a conversion has taken place, how is one to know? Does saving a tiff file as jpeg change its colour profile? When is it useful to use this feature?

Using both the SD card plugged into a reader and camera with full battery plugged in USB gets the error "Cannot obtain all files from this device. Please ensure that the devices is connected properly, or that the battery is charged. The files that have been obtained till now will be sent to Elements Organizer." All updates installed, running on Vista x64, Elements 10.

Nov 19, 2011I'm running 64 bit Lightroom 3.5 on Windows 7. I've been using Lightroom for about 2 years, this is a problem that just came up this weekend.
When in the Develop module and selecting Export and selecting Export Location and a folder to export to, the dialog box now only shows me the Desktop and my User folder - it does not show either of the two hard disks in my PC. These disks do show up in Windows Explorer and the Library module is able to find these disks and load the photos on them.

I then tried to import the remaining photos, but an error came out an said "no photos or videos were found to import".

The actual photos are still tagged with their names, but I can't use the feature to see all photos with a particular person as they are neither in the "all people" view, nor the list of people tags.
