View 1 Replies View RelatedI've imported a photo of a striped shirt into PSE 6. I want to put some text on top of the shirt. Unfortunately, the stripes on the shirt make it difficult to read the text.
So I though if faded the stripes a little--where the text will be--that will fix this problem.
So I need to know how to fade just that one section of the photo where the text will be. I don't want to fade it entirely--just enough so that the text is readable. That is, I want the stripes to still be somewhat visible. How much I fade them will be up to me.
How do you cut out a part of a photo and then superimpose it on another photo?
View 1 Replies View RelatedA way to create a copy of an open part by starting from a template part file and recreating all the features?
Is there a simple way to copy a sketch definition from one part to another using either VBA or VB.net? Is there a way to access the browser so the order of feature creation can be copied?
I have a surface model of a bin that I am going to use as a master for deriving sheet metal parts for each side of the bin. After creating Sketch 9, which defines the mating flanges of the sheets, I repeatedly get the error noted in the subject when I try creating a derived part from this file.
I narrowed the problem down to the sketch block I used to define the square holes or more specifically a dimension that appears in this sketch block. I originally drew the circle with the square around it within Sketch 9 and then used the Create Block command. Then I patterned the block along the edges and made the pattern symmetric about the mid point of the edge and placed the hole half way out on the flange. (Flange width is set as a user parameter "FlangeWidth"(1.5") and distance to hole is "FlangeWidth/2" or even just a raw value of 0.75").
Now once this dimension is added to the sketch it will also appear in the block editor for the 5-16 Carriage Square block. If this is deleted from the sketch and the block definition and the pattern of holes are left unconstrained in this one direction a derived part can be successfully made. BUT if a dimension is added to the sketch it will trickle down to the block definition and now a derived part will fail...
I realized that my holes are to be on the midline of the flange so I can constrain them there without a dimension and so I can work around this. I just didn't think dimensions to geometry not included in a block were added to the block definition.

I'm trying to clone from one layer (photo) to another layer (photo), and simply want an exact pixel-to-pixel replacement. For instance I'd like to copy pixel (10, 20) from the first layer to pixel (10, 20) on the second layer.
I've found that I can set the upper, left corner of Layer 1 as the "source" (using Alt+click), and then go to my "destination" layer, and click on the same upper, left location, and then subsequent click-and-drags will then be aligned, but that is not an elegant process. I'm assuming that there's just a button click or option that I'm not aware of that will make all of this much simpler.
PS: I'm using PS CS5
I've used the Clone Tool a lot over the years but I've never worked out how to reset the source point without having to go back to the clone tool. I know a right click resets but it defaults to the position of the clone (why?), so I usually have to right click at least twice.
View 16 Replies View RelatedWhen trying to use the clone tool, my initial cursor locations (as picked by me) appears to be about 200 pixels off. I have updated video drivers and mouse drivers to no avail. There was a posting some time back about the same issue, but it seems to be unresolved. The solution was to remove code from the registry.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm not good with Photoshop. In fact, the clone stamp has always been one of my favorite tools. But, I just bought Elements 12 and I find that my clone stamp is doing something strange. In the circle, when I move it around the photo being edited, there is a black smudge in that circle and I can see images from other parts of the photo in that circle leaving marks on the photo as I move the circle around.

PSE 7; When switching from text to say clone stamp, or blur tool I get only a cross hair as opposed to the 'pixel' sized circle to see the dimensions of the work that will be affected. If I log out of Elements completely and then re-enter and go to use the clone tool, the brush 'pixel' circle dimension comes up as normal and works as it should. As soon as I go to text mode and then back to clone stamp or blur tool, I just get the cross hair and no circle dimension 'cue' ! how to go from text to clone and get the circle cue dimension instead of just a cross hair without having to log out of elements each time.
