Current version of both 11 and 12 that I have shows Ver CR8.0. The Canon 70D got supported by CR8.2. I downloaded 8.2 successuflly but couldn't get it to integrate into Elements (either 11 or 12 as I have both).

View 8 Replies View RelatedSo I just downloaded and ran the updates for lightroom 3 (now 3.6) and now when I open folders to view my picture files, the canon raw files are no longer associated with lightroom. Let me further explain.
After shooting, I would plug my card into a card reader and see which pictures I wanted to view in lightroom. I shoot in jpeg and raw so I could view the jpeg thumbnails to see which raw files I wanted to open in lightroom. The raw files would be "labeled" with the LR icon and I would then doulbe click the raw file I wanted and by doing so it would initiate the opeing of LR. However, now the raw files do not have the LR icon assocaited with the raw files and I can longer clcik the raw files to automatically open lightroom.
Did something change with the update?
I cant use Raw with Elements 10 with a Canon C650D.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am a professional photographer and educator. I have a client who just purchased a Canon G16. He has PSE 10, and he has contracted with me for some tutoring. I want to include editing G16 Raw images.
However, I wonder if PSE 10 can open G16 Raw images?My client's computer is not powerful enough to upgrade to PSE 12.
I understand that I can have him convert the Canon G16 Raw images to DNG's using the free Adobe converter and import those into PSE 10, but I was hoping that PSE 10 could use the new 8.2 Raw Converter from Adobe that includes the G16, so it could import the images directly.
I recently traded in my Canon T3i for a T4i, and now PS Elements 10 won't open the CR2 RAW files from this camera. According to "Help - Plug In" I have V 6.7, so I went to the Adobe site which said I needed V 7.1, which I download, and extracted, but it won't install it in the software; when I click on the extracted AdobePatchInstaller application, I get a message stating "Update Failed" and "this patch is not applicable for you". Also, when I click "Help-Updates" it tells me everything is up to date.

I get a message saying something like "Cannot open file (filename.CR2) because it is the wrong type of file". Someone in another thread suggested that not all CR2 files are the same...that they're camera dependent. (It seems like they shouldn't be) Supposedly ACR 5.6 supports the Canon S90, which is 2 generations prior to the S100.

I can however import the raw file and then open it to view or edit it. Without the preview option, browsing for your photos is impossible.
