I recently reloaded my files from Time Machine, after having my had my hard drive replaced. Elements will not run, giving me error 150:30 and a message to the effect that my license is not working. Do I have to reload from disk?
View 3 RepliesAfter a time machine recovery most of my photoshop documents recovered fine, however there are a select few (and my most recent work unfortuantely) that seem corrupt. It isn't all of my documents. Trying to recover them again from back-up doesn't seem to be working. I did have to reinstall photoshop CS4 after the recovery.
I've tried opening with other programs, I've tried changing the file extentions etc. If the files were just corrupt recovering them from time machine should fix the problem.
I want to uninstall Photoshop cs5 trial version from my Mac that was just restored via Time Machine.
A bit to background and the attempts that I have made:My iMac (running 10.6.8) recently had a drastic hard drive crash. Luckily I was able to get it up and running again to make a Time Machine backup. The hard drive had to be replaced, and I restored my mac using the last (post crash) Time Machine backup.
However, when I tried to run Photoshop I get a Configuration Error and it tells me to uninstall and reinstall, and also gives me an Error code 6. I tried to uninstall it with the photoshop uninstaller but it tells me I need to install the Application manager (with a link where to get it). I download and install it, reboot the computer (btw I am running as the Admin when trying to remove the program) and then tried to uninstall again but it fails. After searching around on the net I tried to use the CS cleaner tool but all it finds is the Application Manager.
I noticed today that I have a folder called "Lost and Found" on the root directory of my hard drive. Inside are various numbered folders and some contain various Adobe files and folders such as CS5 service manager app, AMT, lenses, etc.
I am using the CS5 with RAW support version for D800 without any problem before. I am not very sure the RAW support version that I use in the past.
But after I restore my iMac with the latest time machine file. CS5 cannot open the RAW file for D800 anymore, I try to install the latest RAW file version 6.7 for CS5, but when I click to check the RAW support version in CS5, it keeps showing version 6.6.
I have a Mac Mini. I have been through the ringer dealing with a situation with LR4.
At this point, I want to just restore LR4 to a particular state using TIME MACHINE but I do not or cannot use the catalog (lrcat4) to do this.
What files or directories or folders do I need to restore?
I lost an edit I was working on and Time Machine has complete backups for the past several days. I can see and find the backup copy in Time Machine in /usr/discreet/project/ . I can extract it from Time Machine. But how can I make Smoke aware of it and open it?
I tried a few things like I have an existing project called "/usr/discreet/project/Project1", I removed it and put my backup in the same place with the same name, but that doesn't work either.
It was necessary to reload Windows 7. This eliminated all programs (i.e. Elements 10). I reloaded Elemensts 10 but had lost all catalog, category, and subcategory information. My photographs (3,000) had been saved but not "backed-up" (I did not realize there was a difference). All photographs are intact with tags (but not catalog information). Is there some way to restore the catalog and category data?

Is this posible and does the transfer/backup include the actual photos or just the relevant details? as I already have the photos copied to the new machine.
I have Ele10 preloaded on a new desktop and have copied my Ele 7 catalogs from an old XP machine. File>ccat> convert will browse to the old catalong folders but will not "select" them or convert them...just ignores me at that point. How do I proceed?

Also on D: is D:DataMy Catalog 7catalog.pse7db, D:DataMy Catalog 7 humbe.5.cache and D:DataMy Catalog 7itemData.mk4 with other 1KB files; these are pointed there using Elements 7 options.
The pc runs Elements 7 with all images tagged in Organizer.
D: is a separate physical 1TB drive. D: is backed up to a USB drive; this backup drive (500GB) is now almost full (it also backs up other machines drives) hence why I will use the current 1TB image drive as backup and retire/reuse the 500GB drive.
I now have a new 64 bit pc with its own 1TB drive, on which I would like to run Lightroom 4 with Elements 10 for additional editing. I would like to store the both Main Images currently on D: drive in C:UsersMeMy Pictures on the new machine. The 1TB drive from the old machine is now in a USB housing and will act as the onsite backup for all the images and image data and other machines drives.
I have all my images tagged in Elements 7. Can Lightroom read/use these tags?
If so what is the best way to get my images and their tags into C:UsersMeMy Pictures and Lightroom?
My computer crashed so I re-loaded cs3 from the disks, but now it says that it won't update as Adobe is no longer supporting it. I cannot see my RAW files from my Canon d30 and d40.
In the past when I had this problem, I just downloaded something and it fixed it, but that doesn't seem to be working this time. Are those update files available and usable anywhere or am I trying the wrong ones?
Photoshop does not reload the desktop synced fonts from type kit. They are acknowledged as synced in the creative cloud main page but not visible in the project (even if I try to reload the fonts).
View 10 Replies View RelatedGetting an issue whereby gradient fills have changed when you reopen a PSD. It's happening too often to me to be something i'm doing accidentally.
Sometimes i save my file and the gradient fill on a shape is be grey, reopen and it's then white. Fixing it and saving it again seems to then save it properly. I haven't been able to establish a pattern to reproducing it yet. Hence why i'm wondering if others have seen this too?
This is actually for R2014 but the same thing happened in 2013. I have several custom CUIX files created from loading MNU files. I use them for drop down menus and toolbars. The load fine but are not remembered the next AutoCAD is reloaded. I can't remember what I did because they work fine in 2013. I've CUILOADED them and saved the workspace. I also saved and reloaded my PROFILE. Aren't the menus saved with the workspace?

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter some infrastructure changes, I need to repath all of my xrefs. I know I can easily do this using the Reference Manager, and I have. However, when I open the drawings that I have updated, the xref images (jpg, png, etc) do not display, but rather only show the image border. I must then go into the External References pallette in each drawing and reload each reference. This works fine, but it is awfully clunky, as I must do this for every drawing.
Is there a way I can batch reload these references after updating the path in Reference Manager?
We have a custom cuix file that loads some pulldown menus nd ribbon tabs that we have located on the server so that it can be modified and automaticaly updates on all computers once autocad is closed and reopened. My problem is now when I make a change to my setup and save the file, it no longer updates on the other computers.

While copying text in paperspace using the Copy & Paste feature from one tab to another, it's causing the unloaded Xref to reload when I activate the Paste feature using the Ctrl-V hot key. View 5 Replies View RelatedOrganiser tags will only find one tagged category at a time. E.g Typing "gill" in the find bar will return all photos with Gill in. Likewise Laura returns all photos with Laura in, but type both Gill followed by Laura will only return photos of Gill. I did not have this problem on Elements 10.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently had to reload PSE9 on my Vista 64-bit machine after a motherboard/hard drive failure (yes, supposedly both components failed). I edited a few images tonight and noticed that the time-stamp metadata on the imported images does not match the metadata on the originals--everything is an hour off. I made the original purchase of the product a few years ago and it was fixed by a later update. If it matters, the images are RAW format images and I was using the full edit functions of the software.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWindows 7, PS Elements 5.0 and all these years I have never had a problem. But now when I open the program my on screen pointer has 2 shadows following it around. Meaning, there's three of them now.
This only happens in the main screen. When changing tools or using the menus,, the pointer changes back to an arrow to make your selection.
How do I get rid of the time clock in organizer. If I click on the time clock and go to editor, the pick shows up fine in the edit mode. Any new pics come in as time clocks instead of pictures and this is before I edit them. When I do edit and return to editor, after saving, I still get the time clock.

1. Pressing shift, contron and option right after launching the program. The window came up to delete prefernces I clicked yes. Restarted my computer relaunched the program, still quitting every time I try to save anything.
2. I went into Program FilesAdobePhotoshop Elements 9Locales<locale>Plug-InsImport-Exportand you will find twain plug-in. Remove that plug-in from that location and copy it somewhere else.
I did this 3 times, the first 2 times I dragged the twain plug in to my desktop, but I guess it was just making a copy. I can see the two plug in's on my desktop, but the plug ins remained in place. So the 3rd time, I clicked it and moved it to trash.
Again, I restarted my computer and relaunched PSE 9 but it still was crashing when I tried to save anything.
3. Just last night I ran the disk utility and repaired disk's. Again, restarted my computer and relaunched the program, and still it quits every time I save.
