Apr 27, 2013I am dealing with 128 x 128 or smaller. The more I shrink a picture the more I loose details. Photo > Sharpen works a little bit in some cases but in most I am loosing to much detail no matter. How do I fix this? If possible my pics need to remain in .png format

Apr 22, 2013I'm trying to make a display picture (An avatar of sorts) to use, but whenever I try to, any picture I place using "File > Place" gains like a seipatone color instead of its normal colors. Here is what I do, step-by-step:
1. Open Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64-bit)
2. Start a New Project.
-Width: 160, Height: 220, Resolution: 72 (Width and Height are in Pixels)
-Color Mode: RGB 16-bit (I've tried all bits of RGB mode)
3. File>Place and browse for the image. It is not at all brown-scaled right now.
4. It turns brown.
Here is the example I'm showing:
Normal Picture: [URL].......
In Photoshop: [URL]............
I've used this same version, same steps, and created all kinds of artwork. But all of a sudden, everything turns up brown.

Jun 21, 2013Every-time I save something in PSE 11 that has text or graphics, I feel like the clarity is not even remotely close to what I was seeing in PSE. The whole thing often has a blurry/pix elated look to it. I am sure that any graphics are large files for clarity and in PSE 11 they appear very clear and sharp, I am usually saving in .png The resolution is 300.
What can I do to make sure that they save crystal clear and sharp so that once they are uploaded (to somewhere like Facebook for a timeline cover) that they don't loose that sharpness to text and graphics that I see in PSE? What is the best format to save in? I don't have this issue with pictures I am editing, it seems to just be stuff I am making.

Photoshop Elements :: Can't Turn Off AutoAnalyzer
Mar 9, 2014Other than renaming/moving the AutoAnalyzer executable, I have found no way to turn it off. I've unchecked all the boxes on the media-analysis preference screen, but this does not work. The analyzer runs, even after completely exiting out of the Photoshop Elements program. Any better way to turn AutoAnalyzer off?
The reason I want to turn AutoAnalyzer off is that it continually analyzes my large video library (over 800 GB) which causes 3 problems:
1) a very large "Video Proxies" folder is created in the catalog which more that duplicates the already large video library on my hard drive and I don't have the space for this,
2) the analyzer uses a very large amount of CPU capacity to continually analyze the video,
3) my videos are broken up into what elements thinks are scenes, which creates unwanted, additional videos in my library.
I thought the elements 12.1 upgrade might fix this issue, but it did not. I verified

Formerly, in Elements 4, I could do it easily with the Magic Wand tool. I recently upgraded to Elements 11 and, to my shock, find there is no Magic Wand tool. I am running Windows 7. I tried the Brush tool and, while it selects the correct area, I can't get it to insert the blue color. It is not a choice of color offered. Only gray. I also tried via a new layer, but could not get that to work either.

But I can't figure out how to disengage this effect. I started using the clone stamp tool after I was done with drop shadow, and now all of my clone stamps have drop shadows!
