Photoshop Elements :: How To Deactivate A Copy On Computer That No Longer Exists
Nov 14, 2012
I am trying to use the program, and the last time I used it, must have been on my old computer. It is telling me to deactivate the other copy but I no longer have the computer.
My old computer recently broke and I was wondering if there was a way I could deactivate my Photoshop elements that was installed on the old computer? It is Elements 11.
I don't have my OLD computer (I returned it to the manufacturer HP because of defects, after deleting the entire memory. So I can't deactivate the program installation on that OLD computer and the program won't allow me to install it on the NEW computer (it's written that I have reached the limits of 2 installations. I had only installed it on my OlD computer (twice, because of computer defect and resetting).
I have tried so many times to remove Photoshop cs6 pre-release, but without any success.
I have downloaded Photoshop cs6 extended from this link:
[URL].........
I put it in the bin first and emptied the bin when actually I shouldn't have done so. So I tried the cleaner

I've put first to remove cs5 , cs5.5 and cs6. then I did it again with cs6 alone. I've restarted my computer. Still doesn't work, I always get the message:
"A conflicting or prerelease version of adobe Photoshop exists on this computer (...) "
I have searched previous similar topics about the same problem, no success.
I purchased Photoshop CS4 several years ago and never had a problem with it. My computer recently got a virus and now won't even turn on. I bought a new computer and I want to instal Photoshop on it, but I can't deactivate it on my dead computer. What do I do?
Is it required to deactivate an adobe after effect before formatting a computer? because my adobe after effect is licence version & the windows suddenly cress & i need to format pc.
I have thousands of photographs in my desktop and wish to copy them to my laptop. And is it possible to sychronise them? Both computer use Windows 7 and PSE 11.
I had Photoshop CS5 installed on my laptop. The hard drive recently crashed and had to be replaced. Because it crashed suddenly, I was unable to deactivate the install. Is there any way to remotely deactivate it so I can install it on the new hard drive? I have a Student copy so it can only be activated on one computer at a time.
Something went wront on an ingest of my images. I think I tried correcting it by going into my /workingfiles folder were they were stored and deleting them manually. I'm sure I checked to see if I could do it through Lightroom, but maybe I missed the folder they were put in. I am guessing that is what happened so Lightroom still has a small image of them somewhere and will no longer let me re-import them.

I have moved a catalog of 150'000 pictures (with associated pictures) to from an iMac to a new Macbook Pro. I used (in Elements 11, same version on the old system) "reconnect missing files" to update the path to the new location. Most files did reconnect perfectly. However, some of them cannot be reconnected. The message I get is
"The files cannot be reconneceted because the file already exists".
The reality is that the same file does not exist. Only an identical named file in a completely separate directory path form another year is present (I use more than one camera and the filenames start all at DSCN001.jpg). How can I fix this, otherwise I cannot complete the transfer of the library.
I have Elements 5.0 loaded on a hard drive which will no longer boot. I have a new hard drive and can access the old drive as an extra internal hard drive. I cannot use Photoshop, so I was thinking I need to deactivate the copy loaded on the old hard drive and reload it on the new hard drive. If so, how do I deactivate? When I start up the editor, it does not have an option for deactivating as I read about in another post. Under the help menu, there is a grayed out option for Registration. After a few seconds, a window appears saying there is a problem with my serial number and the application closes. Also, I would like to load Photoshop on a laptop later, so I do not want to waste one of my allowable loads.
I want to install Photoshop Elements 6 on my new computer and deactivate/uninstall it from my old computer. I have been unable to find the "deactivate" button under "help" or anywhere else.
where my custom workspace are stored. I want to copy several I created on my desktop to my laptop. Have looked extensively without success.
The ability to create customized work spaces and quickly jump between them was a major leap forward in PS. How the CS6 migration grabbed my workspace from CS5. Now I want to copy them to my laptop, too.
Suddenly LR no longer makes a copy when I select "edit a copy", for example "edit a copy with LR adjustments", in PSCC.
Instead, it sends the MASTER to PSCC.
In the case where I have done no editing in PSCC and simply try to close the PS edit window, I always have to click "Don't Save", whereas before this GLITCH in LR, PSCC would simply close the image since I had done no editing.
Don't know if these two things are related but I have used both for many years and this is the first time I have seen this problem.
I need to download a copy of CS4 to load on a new computer and cannot find disc. The software is registered and I have the Serial Number. I found a answer to the same question back in June and I followed the instructions to download on a Prodesign Site but when I double clicked the exe file it told me a file archive part of photoshop was missing.
I have a Book I'd like to put together. Problem is, I have some phtos here at work to use, and some at home. Is it possible to copy the book from one compter to another, so I can work on the book at both locations?
