Apr 12, 2013I have Elements 5.0 loaded on a hard drive which will no longer boot. I have a new hard drive and can access the old drive as an extra internal hard drive. I cannot use Photoshop, so I was thinking I need to deactivate the copy loaded on the old hard drive and reload it on the new hard drive. If so, how do I deactivate? When I start up the editor, it does not have an option for deactivating as I read about in another post. Under the help menu, there is a grayed out option for Registration. After a few seconds, a window appears saying there is a problem with my serial number and the application closes. Also, I would like to load Photoshop on a laptop later, so I do not want to waste one of my allowable loads.

Nov 5, 2012I am trying to restore my catalog into a brand new iMac with Mountain Lion and max memory.
I have created the backup several times, reconnecting all pictures and writing the tag info to the pictures.
After the restore. All the pictures are present and the category info on them seems correct ( properties and icons on the thumbnails ).
The catalog shows all the categories and sub-categories but selecting a category just gets the message that np pictures match the category.
If I try reconnect it says it's not required.
I've tried 4 times and I'm assuming it should work.

Nov 29, 2012I have an iMac which had 4 gb of ram. Photoshop defaulted the usage to just under 3 gb. I installed another 8 gb of ram but PSE fails to recognise the extra ram so I can only get it to use 3gb. If I reinstall will it recognise all my ram? Will I still have all my photos on the organizer?

Mar 25, 2013I recently purchased an Imac 27" and am trying several different ways to migrat my 27,000 picture library:
I do a backup on an external NTFS drive. I doc to MAC. On the first attempt, I was able to locate the tly file, but the backup failed at 63% on soime mpeg conversion error. Since that time, the Mac can no longer any files in the backup folder (however if i connect to PC the files are all there) I originally migrated the folder structure and imported all the photos. It asked me if I wanted to import all tags and i said yes. However, it filed all my tags inder "Other imported tags" section, and losing all my original tagging structure. I am now tryiong to write tag information to the files and transfer via Migration assisttant, but am worried I will have the sma results as above.

May 29, 2013i used to use Windows XP with Photoshop 6 and my Epson RX500 scanner/printer would show in the Import option but using my new iMac and Elements 11, it does not show. All my drivers are up to date but I can't sort out from the forum information how I can find the necessary plug-in to solve my problem. I know I can scan and save to a file which can then be opened in Elements but the other way is much more convenient.
