View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm just beginning to work with Photoshop CS5. When I was editing with the camera raw features; I discovered that there had not been a "Lens Profile Correction" loaded for my Panasonic Lumix DMC-L10 with a Leica lens 14-150. I"m looking for a method to get this lens added to the Profile Connection.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI refer to Lightroom version 3.6. I have purchased a panasonic-gx1 plus 14-42mm & 45-175mm lenses and would like to add the lens profiles to the lens correction module.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhy won't the Lens Correction filter recognize my camera and lens, which is shown in the metadata below the correction window? I had been using the venerable Canon 5D Mk II and now the Mk III. For images taken with the III it doesn't even list Canon in the Camera drop down -- too new? Even with the II, I had to choose the camera manually and then choose the lens from a very tedious list, and had no indication if it was using the focal length in the case of a zoom, or the aperture.
I do strongly prefer to do this correction in Camera Raw or Lightroom, and realize it needs to be done on an uncropped image to be accurate. why even present it as an auto correction if it can't use the metadata? Why not just limit it to the manual correction?
Using LR 3.5.1. When applying Lens Corrections/Profile/Enable in Default, my Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 actual lens is being corrected by the profile for a Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 lens. I can tell it's the wrong correction because the barrel distortion after using the default profile is not corrected, and when I manually select the 4-5.6 lens the correction is perfect. So I know the right data is embedded in the LR correction data bank but is not being used.
I found that when I set the profile Setup selector to "Auto" the correct lens is selected and the correction it makes is "correct." But then moving to the next photo it switches to Default again, selecting the wrong lens, and so has to be set to Auto for each photo. This action doesn't seem to me to me an expected result called "Setup." I need this for my home interior photography, and with hundreds of photos a week I don't want to manually operate this. This didn't happen until v.3.4 or 3.5, I think.
So, how do I get it to select the right lens as the Default, or get the Auto setting to stick? Either would do. (Seems to me they logically are the same thing).
In addition, why isn't it possible to have the profile itself enabled as a default perhaps in a preset - or is that possible and I don't know how to do it? In other words, once it's working right, why not make it an import preset for that lens?
I'm trying out the new Sigma 24-105 DG lens with my 5D M II. The lens profile is not yet in the list of Sigma lenses. I checked and my LR is up to date with the latest version 5.3. Is there a way to find the lens profile to import for LR lens correction function? Or do I just need to wait until LR updates for new lenses?
View 5 Replies View RelatedEach time I open a file in AI - CS3 I get the same message: "Missing Profile - The doc does not have an embedded CMYK profile". I looked in library>colorsync>profiles and sure enough they were gone? I downloaded new profiles from Adobe, installed them in library>colorsync>profiles - and still the same thing with each file I open. I dragged AI to the trash, re-installed AI from my disc repeated the process with the same results .

View 12 Replies View RelatedI just bought me a new canon EOS 700D, the x-rite Colorchecker Passport and photoshop elements 11. I took a photo of the colorchecker (.CR2-raw file) and followed their instructions to make my own camera profile. Meaning I opened the .CR2-Raw file with Photoshop elements, didn't make any changes to it just directly saved it as a .DNG file. Opened it in the colorchecker software "Color Checker Passport", it recognized the colorchecker on the photo and so I pressed the button to make the profile and to save it. I then restarted Photoshop elements and opened the photo with the colorchecker on it again as a .CR2 raw file. In the instructions it now says change the camera profile to your just made profile, but when I scrolled down the profiles there were only the standard profiles "Adobe Standard, Camera faithfull, camera landscape" and so on. Mine was not there. So I checked the paths were my profile and the standard profiles are saved to. I then put my new profile into the same folder as the standard profiles for my camera, restarted PSE 11 (and the computer after a couple of tries) and tried again. Again my profile was not in the scroll down menu where it should be. I even reinstalled all the software concerned with this but it didn't work. My system is Windows 7 64 bit and photoshop elements 11 and X-Rite software are updated.
the .dcp camera profiles I make with the colorchecker software are only 2 kb big but the standard profiles are more like 200 kb.Additiv after reinstalling everything and updating again, the camera profile folder for my canon eos 700D is missing. The folder for teh newest model of that line is the 650D.
I'm using CS6, I do not see any picture (png, jpg or psd) in the workspace. It says Embedded Profile Mismatch or Missing Profile when I try to open. Pictures seem on Layers although I can only see a transparent screen in the workspace. When I convert it into CMYK, I can see the picture. I can not find the problem and I need Photoshop.

I don't understand why Photoshop CS6 says that my embedded profile is adobeRGB, because I have changed it to sRGB. I have changed it also on my camera from adobeRGB to sRGB. And my color setting in Photoshop I have changed from adobe RGB to sRGB.
So why does the program say that the color profile does not match? Or maybe I shpuld change something in bridge?
I've recently been getting the following warning when opening an image (photo). I've only made one adjustment recently, disabled color management.
I'm using CS2 and would appreciate your assistance since I couldn't find a thread specific to the subject in my search.
I'm using ps3 and after loading my pics from my camera into photoshop i get this message on every photo that i open. I use the spyder2 to calibrate my montor and have that set as my default profile. In photoshop it shows the embedded sRGB and some number. Is there a setting that i can change that will change the photos to the spyderexpress 2 profile in photoshop.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have done some photography for a preexisting series.
The existing files are embedded with a unique colour profile, I ideally need to use that profile so that the new photography exactly matches colour wise, as I will be using some elements from the original files.
Is there any way to save the embedded profile, so that I can apply it to any new files that I work on?
I used photoshop to open a JPG file and I got this warning dialog box message:
================================================
The document "xxx" has an embedded color profile that does not match the current RGB working space.
Embedded: Internal RGB KODAK sRGB Display
Working: sRGB IEC61966-2.1
================================================
Then I was offered by 3 options in the dialog box:
1. Use the embedded profile (instead of the working space).
2. Convert document's color to working space.
3. Discard the embedded profile (don't color manage).
The questions:
a. What should I choose between the three options?
b. What is the functionality of the embedded Profile?
c. Is Embedded Profile equal to ICC profile?
I'm an amateur moving up to LR 3 and have been trying to learn this program by reading the LR3 book by Scott Kelby. He shows that the Camera Calibration feature has some settings for specific cameras yet the drop down menu has none listed. I've upgraded to 3.6 and the images were copied from raw to DNG.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI own a GoPro Hero 3 Black camera. I saw the Russell Brown demonstration of Camera RAW to correct lens distortion (

In this instruction, he takes images into Camera RAW and selects a tab called Profile, and it automatically detected the camera from metadata and made corrections.
I was sold, subscribed to Adobe Cloud, downloaded Photoshop and started following his tutorial. When I got to the lens correction part, my Camera RAW has no Profiles tab. Brown does say that you need the latest version, but I have assumed that since I just subscribed and downloaded, that I have that.
how can i create a camera profile with camera raw without x-rite or other third software?
i have a Colour Checker ,with different shade of gray and different colors
i remember about a script or something like that
i google a lot , but without luck
can i create my camera raw profile using a color checker with photoshop acr ?
i'm not sure but this should be the script [URL]....right? but i don't know how use it
is there a tutorial ? maybe a video to create a profile with camera raw.
I am having problems with the lens profile. i am working with raw images and when i open in Photoshop cs6 (on Mac) and click on lens correction
cant detect what lens i m using (is the canon 16-35 mm) it just gives me option from other canon lens but not this one. when i click search online - doesn't work as well.
i even downloaded the Adobe lens profile down loader and find the profile for the lens and downloaded it but still doesn't appear in Photoshop lens correction.
when i open the image in lens correction in the info box under the image gives all the correct info what camera and lenses are used !! but why there isn't any lenses available to select when tried to edit the image?
How to Add a lens profile from Adobe lens profile down loader or how to add in another way canon lenses.
After a recent update while working in Camera Raw off of the bridge I noticed that the workflow has changed. I can no longer change the size as easily.
