PSE 10 & Lightroom 5...I import my photos to PSE10 organizer & use the editor for some corrections. I purchased Lightroom 5 because of its ease of exposure correction. I Imported the PSE 10 catalog to LR and make the exposure corrections. How do I get the corrections back to PSE?
View 2 Replies View Relatedhow people are achieving this look called airbrushing?
It brushes all the pores out of peoples skin etc. I know the gausian blurr and other blurr techniques but this is different. I beleive that this is done with a wacom airbrush tool, although I am not sure. (I have a wacom airbrush tool)
I have been using Photoshop for sometime now to create images.
I would like to learn how to airbrush digital photos, if thats what it's called.
How do you go about airbrushing a photo?
I have a picture with my username written on my hand for a rating site, and I have to edit it because I've changed my name on there. How can I get rid of what it already says without it looking too fake? I'd make a new salute altogether but I've bought a new webcam which is quicker, but takes horrible photo's.
I've tried using the airbrush teqnique but it looks too false plus I can never get a good colour match.
Set-up- LR4, LR3, Bridge and PS4 and Elements 10 on a MacBook Pro (OS 10.6.8), calibrated 24” HP ips monitor
Problem : The corrections made on my DNGs in LR4 are not being acquired by BridgePS4 or Elements 10. The neither the images in the filmstrip nor the DNG file when opened in PS4 or Elements Camera Raw reflect the LR4 corrections. Puzzling, since the Cropping and Corrections Applied Indicators are shown with the Bridge filmstrip images. And, when I re-Save Bridge does acknowledge that it is doing new thumbnail extractions .
I’ve done all I’m aware to do.Save in LR4 in Library Mode with filters off. Did an Update DNG previews and metedata. Automatically write changes to XMP is ON. Restarted the machine
To troubleshoot, I brought a few of those images( again DNGs) into LR3, did corrections and saved. These images were rendered properly in Bridge’s filmstrip and corrections were carried into Camera Raw without issue.
I'm still using Maya 2009 because I really hated what they did to 2010 and 2011. Features that I use often were removed. Multilister being one of them. Now I feel like I'm falling behind too much so thinking of upgrading to 2012 but I ran into a few issues while trying out the trial version.
Paint skin weights tool in 2009, I had the ability to set scale value above 1. Flood smooth couple times and flood scale 1.1 couple times and skinning was pretty much done. It was very quick way to dial in skinning and very effective. Now in 2012, I can't set scale value above 1.000. Has this been moved somewhere else or has it just been taken out? Why is Autodesk keep taking out useful features?
i'm looking for the ui and code to edit the way maya will sort influences in the paint skin weights tool. currently the sorting methods are kinds insufficient. Ideally i would like to be able to sort by locked , and have the ability to make painting sets so i can work on specific areas at a time.

View 17 Replies View RelatedI occasionally use GIMP to burn-down parts of portraits that compete with the face. For example, bare shoulder, midriff over-light, hands over-lit.
The skin ends up looking greyish, not like less-lit skin. It works not too badly visually, as the emphasis is on the face, but fails on inspection.
I have tried the burn tool and just plain old Brightness, both on a selected area.
For some reason when I use my Paint Skin weights tool, the mesh does not go into a grey scale type shader. Instead, the textured model is still displayed instead of the black and doesn't display weight values in the greyscale I'm used to.
Did I mess up settings somewhere? I know I'm in Paint Skin Weights tool because I can see the bones when it goes into Xray. I can open other scene files and can view the weights just fine.
Note: I have tried the following fixes: copied the mesh into a new scene, made sure it wasn't a subdiv shape.
I am using Maya 2010

I'm using Lightroom 4.1 and Photoshop CS5 Extended on Mac OS 10.6.8.
Recently images opened in Photoshop from Lightroom are not recognizing the distortion correction when "enable profile corrections" is ticked for any lens.
I've tried reinstalling Lightroom; no difference. However, chromatic abberation corrected in Lightroom is recognized in Photoshop.
In ps7 editor I can have 2 pictures cascaded and using the marquee tool and the move tool insert a section of one picture into the other. I cannot do this in ps11, what am I doing wrong?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using Photoshop CS5 and am creating a photo montage poster with about 30 images on it. The photos are not stellar and I need to change levels, exposure, saturation etc to each image. I was creating groups from layers for each image then dropping it onto the montage file, but I see that filters effect every layer below.
I have a gradient layer as my background and I don't want it affected nor do I want every layer below affected. I created smart layers from each image, that works, but it really slows the system down. What is the smartest and most efficient way to handle this?
Can Photoshop CS6 (Windows 8) make lens corrections for the Canon PowerShot SX50 HS camera? My version of CS6 (64bit) is Photoshop: 13.0.1 x64 and CameraRaw plug-in is 7.3.0.71. There is a file "Canon PowerShot SX50 HS AdobeStandard.dcp" size 118KB in the folder c:Program DataAdobeCameraRawCameraProfilesAdobeStandard. However when I open a Cameras Raw file (*.CR2 for Canon) in Camera Raw and go to the Lens Corrections window with (under Lens Profile) Make = Canon I cannot find my camera in the drop-down list for Model. The list has 30 items ending with Canon PowerShot S100.
I have tried removing Photoshop, re-installing it and installing the updates, but this has made no change. I have been using Photoshop under Windows 8 since early in October 2012, and everthing else seems to be operating correctly.
