Photoshop Elements :: 11 - How To Add Background To Photos
Dec 9, 2012
I have photoshop elements 11. how to add backdrops to my pics (taking the original background out and adding a new one). If I took a pic of someone on the couch, how would I remove the background and add a background of them at the beach? Also, how do I use the graphics?
When opening my jpeg photos in Photoshop elements 9, once saved elements seems put the image in a format that my Apple Mac isn't compatible with. So when I then try and upload the images to Facebook or other software in a bulk upload the images are highlighted and I therefore can't select them and upload.
New user to PSE11. Is it recommended that ALL photos be in albums or is the idea that photos in albums are a subset of the photos in folders? With all the sort and search functionality, I don't understand the benefit of albums.I name my image folders using a standard naming convention with the date embedded so it makes them rather easy to manage.
The instructions in Adobe Photo Elements 11 Classroom In a Book are the classic Windows "Drag and Drop" Method. However, when I try to do it, the cursor/icon I am dragging turns into a gray circle with a gray diagonal when it reaches the Media Browser pane in the Organizer and the folder/photo is not imported into the Organizer when I "drop." Do I need to change setting in Windows (Vista, SP2) or Photoshop Elements 11?
My photos are OK in the Organizer, but the portrait photos are cut off at the top or bottom when used in a slide show. I have checked the "Crop to Fit" portrait selection but it makes no difference. I have Version 9 of Elements.
I just upgraded to photoshop elements 11. When I attempt to sync photos in iTunes (to synch with my iPhone), Photoshop Elements appears in the drop down and when I select it, it finds all the "albums" in the catalog. However, when I select an album to sync, iTunes indicates 0 photos are available in the album.
I'm running photoshop elements 11, iTunes 11.0.1.12, Windows 8 Pro.
if I try to sync "all photos and albums" it still reports that there are "0 photos" available to sync.
I've tried to make new albums, which iTunes "sees" the names, but there are "0 photos" available to sync.
I've also tried to sync with a folder (file system) which works just fine.
I can not paste photos from my photos file. If I start a blank file I can paste anything photos want from the web in as many layers as I want. If I try to paste a photo from my own photos file it becomes the back ground by itself. I don't know how to stop this. Using photoshop elements 11.
how to remove any background from photos..specially grained and low contrast ones....like this: I know that using channels is useful in this case..but I need more experience with this way..plus I tried it and I can't keep the smoothness of the image...is there any other ways ?
I'm trying to work with a brag ad that will run in a high school football program. She's got 3 great photos of her son. I think that they would look better if 1-3 of them had the background taken out...
I don't need the photo(s) back until tomorrow. I'm thinking that I'm going to use them on either a Blue, Black or White background and the 'message' is going to be VERY simple!! Until I can spring for Photoshop - and commit to learning it - I'm just using Apple's Pages application to design these ads.
hi i have took photos of my products in back garden and i wish to get rid of normal garden bacground and add a white bacground to product photo using c5 photoshop.
I need to print 200 profile cards (sized A6). There will be information about the individual along with a photograph. My questions are:
The photos are all 680 x 1024 at 72dpi - I'm sure these will print ok at A6....?All candidates are on a white background - some backgrounds look brighter than others - what's the best way to make it look whiter (photos will be cropped and placed on a white background) and is there a way to do this on mass?
changing the background colors of multiple photos. I have tryed all the erase options, but colored boex are always left after I finish erasing. While erasing there is also a black square around the circle shape erase tool.
I did select the foreground and background colors to be white. White is the only colors selected.
I have nearly 100 photos that I need to adjust for a directory. All the photos were taken with the same camera with the same lighting. Is there an easy way I can select a color in the background to make adjustments so they all look the same? Doesn't have to be perfect just close.
I'm hoping to get some tips on new techniques I can use to blur or remove distracting backgrounds from photos.
The usual kinda photo I'm working with is a portrait of someone in a challenging situation where I have no control over the background, usually there are people and bright colored objects behind my subject.
First I applied lens-blur and masked the subject but it takes time and my subject is usually white and it creates a blurry edge that looks ugly but by masking back and forth and a little cloning I can usually make it nice but it takes to much time..
After doing that for some time I created a background with a pixelated mosaic filter, it looks nice and people are pleased with the result but the problem is that the squares sometimes bleed color on the edges what makes it time consuming again.
So long story short: How to take the focus of distracting backgrounds in a way that is fast to produce but looks classy at the same time?
Photoshop is acting wonky now that i've installed windows 8. i had to upgrade my video drivers, amd radeon 5700 series. now when editing photos, the background goes black or transparent.
I wanted to add a customized background to my photos. I didnt know if this is possible with Lightrom 4? or i need to purchase something to be able to do that?
what I'm doing right now is trying to erase the background of many different photos and combine them (as different layers) into one image. I finished two layers and just as I was about get going on my third layer, I made a mistake and did something to the threshold. I didn't remember what I had it on (well, it was on the default setting) so i put it back to 141 and decided to continue with my work. but then I realized that I couldn't select anything.
I have downloaded my photos to a DVD disc. Only 2 were not PSD and they are the only ones I can view on my TV. Is it not possible to download and view these PSD photos. They are the ones I have altered slightly in Photoshop Elements 10.
How do I 'stitch' together or place together 10 different photos into one? I know how to do a panorama, but these are all differend and don't have borders the same.
I have recently purchased Photoshop Elements 11, and I am having problems trying to make the background and foreground the same colour. I was taking photos of my granchildren in my friends studio and because of the lighting set up the bottom sheet looks grey against the perfect white background. I would like to make it all white
I have an old property survey that is barely legible.. trying to clean up background without losing surveyors drawing. Any thoughts? I am working in PDE10 and am not a whiz
After installing Elements on my new iMac, I cannot get photos to come up in Photoshop for editing. I went to Preferences and changed the preferred editing program from iPhoto to Photoshop.
