Photoshop :: Dropdown Menus Go To Left And Right / Not Just One Direction
Jun 24, 2013
My dropdown menus work fine but when I scroll down to use an option one thing will go to the left and another thing ( in the same drop down ) to the right. How to make them ALL go in one direction to the right?
I'm trying to make a drop down menu (er...drop side menu) all in Imageready. I made the main button and when you rollover it the side menu comes out but then when I try to click on one f theside menu slices they disappear. They dissapear because in the main button slice, i have them appear on the over state and dissapear on the out state. Is there a way to get them to work? Sorry if this is a little confusing. The only reason that I'm not following pank's tutorial is because I don'y have dreamweaver so I can't make layers like he said.
I just installed PS6 and it looks awesome! Everything works fine, no issues processing photos so far. Only problem is that my drop down menus for the menu bar are blacked out with grey text. Some options don't even have the text. When I hover with my mouse, it does show the item with a blue hover background, but aside from that, nothing.
For some context: i7-3770 3.4GHz 16gb Ram 1gb GPU - AMD Radeon 7570 Windows 7 64bit
I used to have an add-on called Xtabs that would make my drop-down menus (layers, linetypes, etc.) go all the way to the bottom of the screen. In 2013, I changed to interface to classic, so that it looks more like it used to, but the add-on does not appear to be available anymore. Is there a built-in way now to do this?
On a windows 7 machine I am having issues with Photoshop CS6 13.0.1 x64 Extended writing in the wrong direction, its goinf RTL instead of LTR. And the Text direction button that is suppsed to be in the Paragraphs palette is missing. I deleted preferences twice and that didnt change anything. I switched back and forth between Midles Eastern and East Asian, and that did nothing as well.
I look at my laptop MBP (MAC OS X 10.6), which has PS CS6 Extended 13.0.5 x64, and I dont have the problem with it being locked in RTL, however, my laptop doesnt have the text direction button either, and doing the previous methods did not give me that option. Is there something special I have to download in order to get it or something?
Just so you know I hav read this thread, and tried all of the Methods and NONE of them worked for EITHER Operating System. Also here is a Video for Windows 7 and a video for MAC OS X and the do opposite methods switching to either to East Asian or Middle East(both videos do the oppposite).
On an image in Develop, right click to bring up the context menu. In the past, when I moved down to "Edit", the flyout menu appeared on the right. It does this in pretty much ALL the software I use. Unless I'm against the right edge of the screen/window, the flyout comes out the right side.
In 5.2 (and possibly earlier V5 versions), ALL my flyouts come out on the left side no matter where the context menu is...
Did this change? Or is there a setting to control this? 'Cause everything else, including Photoshop, still seems to use the behavior that's been there in the past...
I am typing in Farsi which is a right-to-left language. What I see in the monitor is correct. Words appear from right-to-left. But when I print, Entire sentence appears from left-to-right.
This happens even if I print to PDF file. So it is not a problem with printer.
I have created a linetype with the text GAS OPTION in it. The line is continuous with a break around the text. In a straight line the linetype works fine (breaks around the text etc). However, when I use a polyline and spline the line for a curved line the text aligns with the direction of the line at the start, but when the line bends, the text suddenly changes direction and reads in the opposite direction. It looks like AutoCAD is trying to keep the text upright rather than following the direction of the line. When the text changes direction it also changes its insertion point and overlaps the continuous part of the line. I have 2013 AutoCAD.
Here is the string I used for the linetype.
*GAS_Option_LINE,Gas line ----GAS OPTION----GAS OPTION----GAS OPTION---- A,8,-15,["GAS OPTION",STANDARD,S=2.54,U=0.0,X=-2.35,Y=-1.27],-12
I have cut several sections at different points along a road alignment. The sections are cut facing the same direction as the alignmnet. Is there a way to reverse the section direction without changing the alignment direction?
I have a path with a smooth point. The two direction points form a direction line with any non-45-degree-angle - say 11.8 degrees. I want to drag one direction point while keeping the angle of exactly 11.8 degrees.
I have a drawing of a stone railing section and I have to change direction in the run direction of the baluster panel. Is there a way that I can move the details without changing th Y direction of the details. Please refer to the attached CAD file for details. I am trying to avoid having to redesign the panels if possible. railing detail.dwg
I just bought Photoshop CS6 and it seems that it isn't working properly. I run Windows 7. The left click and left alt are not working. The buttons work perfectly on other programs.
I need to mix left to right and right to left (hebrew) text in a textbox. How can I do that? If I copy/paste hebrew text the text is inserted as if it was left to right, that is: reversed. Can I somehow work around that?
I cannot figure this out and am having trouble looking up an answer:
Sometimes when I have a file open in CS3, dropdown options are unavailable. for instance, I have a tiff open and the "texture" filter option (amongst others) is unavailable to click.
Why my Crop Guide Overlay dropdown is missing? Adobe Photoshop CS4.
There used to be a day when you could click on help and it would bring up help topics on the product you purchased. Now, I get a website with CS5, CS6 and whatever else.
I have installed CS PS 6 on my Windows 7, 64 bit computer. When I go to ACR through Bridge and try to crop an image by clicking on the crop tool icon, the drop down menu for the cropping tool is VERY sporadic. It will sometimes show me the different cropping ratios, but most of the time, there is no drop down menu, or it is VERY SLOW to respond. It does this with my mouse and also with my Wacom Intuos 4. All other features seem to be working normally.
I have found that if I press "C" for crop and right-click on an image, the drop-down menu does appear, but this has never happend to me on any other PS.
when trying to use the graphic novel filter my elements crashes every time, if i use graphic pen it works but on looking at the drop down menu after using graphic pen graphic novel is not in the drop down menu.
Just downloaded Photoshop CC with Photoshop CS6 still installed on my computer. Why working in Bridge I noticed that when right clicking on an image and then the "Open With" link, the only thing showing up is Photoshop CC. It would be nice if CS6 was an option as well. Is there any way to set it so that both are available?
Also, how do I install my Neat Image plug-in in Photoshop CC?
I am making a fiction map. I want a fast way to drop down mountains and trees and any repeating landscape. I figured a good way to do this would be to draw said tree or mountains and then set it to a brush preset, add some size jitter and spacing.
It works well except for 1 problem. The brush drops down images that are vaguely transparent so when 1 mountain overlaps another, it creates an overlay that looks horrible. As if the brush is 50% opaque.
I am a Photoshop 7.0 user on Windows XP. I have used Photoshop 7.0 for several years with pleasing results. Recently my installed version crashes at the same stage of use. I decided to buy a new program CD and uninstalled the original program. After installation of the new program Photoshop 7.0 still crashes at the same stage. Photoshop 7.0 starts up normally. Opens and displays an image file normally. However as soon as you select an option from the drop down menus e.g.(Filter/Unsharp Mask) the cursor arrow changes to a small square outline and most of the drop down menus become grey and unusable. The View menu still displays and functions normally all others are frozen. My installed version of Photoshop 5.0 works perfectly! Any other way than a complete system re-installation?
Is it possible to access the Selection "Style" dropdown (Normal, Fixed Ratio, Fixed Size) through an action or a shortcut? I can't seem to find it when I try (ultimately I want to make a custom panel, with a button for the style, in Adobe Configurator).
Since installing CS4, there is a new item in the dropdown list when I right-click on my desktop
The new item is "Adobe Drive CS4". It has two items showing under it. They are "Connect to", and "New Project". The "New Project" is greyed out, even when Photoshop CS4 is running.
I just installed PS6 and while cleaning up a picture .I created a new layer on top of the one I'm editing and wanted to remove a couple of blemishes. but when I hit J and try to select the 'all layers' option from the drop down menu, it won't allow me… it's stuck on 'current layer' and I can't seem to change that…
my default extensions that come with photoshop cs6 extended and also custom installed plug-ins won't appear when clicked on. Usually you see a checkmark by the plug-in if it is working and is visible on the photoshop layout as a panel. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, which the Kuler extension worked, but only under the workspace that I opened it up for. So for example, I opened it up on Essential workspace, but it wouldn't appear when changed to painting workspace. When I close the panel from the workspace, it won't ever come back up again even when clicked on under the extension drop-down menu on any workspace. This is occurring not just on my desktop, but also on my laptop. Both are not Photoshop CC, but regular Photoshop CS6.
I don't really mess around with the extensions much, but once I found out about the painters wheel plugin, I really wanted to try it out, hence now noticing this extension issue with my plug-in..All my plug-ins appear on the drop down menu for Windows > Extensions, so it shouldn't be a file placement problem. I have also tried the Adobe troubleshoot for plugins by uninstalling my plug-ins to see if third party plug-ins were the problem, but still my default plug-ins won't even work.
