I have been using photoshop for years now and never had this problem before, it just started today. Whenever I click on the "show transform controls" under the move tool, the whole photograph I am working on disappears and I am left with the gray background. When I click it off, the image returns.

When the mask has focus, the transform controls are simply not visible (even with "Show Transform Controls" checked). If I do a CTRL+T, the controls appear on the toolbar at the top but still no transform handles around the mask.

when you go to "Features" you should see a big Mondera banner at the bottom of the page but for some reason it does not show up:
As you can see the image clearly shows up on my computer.
I just deleted the old site online and uploaded the local site again
just in case.
I also deleted the IE cache just in case. Still can't see the Mondera banner.
I am running a windows Vista 32Bit software. I just decide to finally use my cs6 photoshop and when i try to open an image in photoshop the board remains blank but the layer panel says there is an image and shows a preview of the image like it normally does in the layer panel. Everything else works fine but the image won't show at all.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been using elemnts 10 for some months now, about two weeks ago the croped image would disapear. Today I have just deleted the programme and reinstalled it and the first thing was to test it so opened an image and used the crop tool and again it just disapears,the inter phase screen just goes blank. All other funtions seem to be ok, I run win XP I thought that the reinstall would cure but no how can this be is it a fault with the programme? I have been using Elements since version 4, this is the first time I have had such a problem.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI would like to do an edit / free transform to resize a layer in my image. I want to do this WHILE LOOKING AT a round path that I have created.
No problem in photoshop 7 , just turn on the path, select the image layer that I want to resize, edit/free transform and I can shrink the image while looking at the circular path to see how the image fits within the path.
As you will see from my image, when I use Free Transform in Photoshop CS5 black lines appear around the outside of my image. I am using an image (of the people) with a black mask sitting on top of a main black background. They are the exact same colour black 000000
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm using Photoshop CS3 and I have a quick query regarding the difference in image quality between resizing an image using 'Image Size' compared to 'Free Transform'.
I'm laying out several individual photographs on to a page (with some precision) and therefore using the transform function to scale the image to the right size is certainly the quickest and easiest option.
However, I have always been keen to ensure maximum image quality and I don't know if this will degrade the image more than resizing the image using 'image size' before pasting it (obviously with a lot more effort involved).
When i enlarge the size of an image (using free transform, or scale) in photoshop CS2, the resized image gets blurred (or smudged) as soon as i've accept the larger size. How can i prevent this from happening? I'm trying to work with few pixels, and when it smudges the edges i get tons of colors i don't want.

Problem: Transform applied to Smart Object fails to transform an attached Smart Filters Mask.
I mean a Transform, including Free Transform, as found in the Edit menu. A simple move by the Move Tool is OK.
A workaround until this bug is squashed is to encapsulate the Smart Object + Smart Filters + Filter Mask inside another Smart Object and transform that.However, that will not be a satisfactory solution in some cases. If a filter has size parameter(s), e.g. Gaussian Blur radius, a scaling or warping/distorting transform applied after the filter will obviously differ from the filter applied after the transform.
In any case, the workaround is inconvenient to subsequent editing and experimenting with filters and masks.
I am trying to transform a folder of 100+ jpeg images from retangles to have rounded corners and a drop shadow....the ideal being to make them look a little like mouse mats for Amazon listings.
I can do them 1 at a time, but I want to do this to 100's of images, how to 'automate' the process??
Free Transform is not working on the image that I Place in the document? It works with objects that I created in the drawing itself.
