3ds Max :: Can't Adjust Start Point In Curve Editor
Oct 3, 2013I have a long animation. I want to use populate at frame 12000. But populate frames won't let me go over 10000 frames. How can I get my people to animate after frame 10000 as you cant adjust the start point in the curve editor.

Jun 2, 2012how to adjust the curve of individual RGB channels. I am assuming the LR4 Tone Curve works like the PS Curves dialog with the channel dropdown.
To make adjustments to individual points on the tone curve, choose an option from the Point Curve menu, click the Edit Point Curve button , and do any of the following:
Choose an option from the Channel pop-up menu. You can edit all three channels at once, or choose to edit the Red, Green, or Blue channel individually. When I click the little icon in the lower right corner of the Tone Curve panel, the panel shrinks so that I don't see the Regions sliders. If I click again, they are visible again. I can't find where to select one of the three indvidual channels.
The Help refers to "the Point Curve menu." Where is the Point Curve menu? Is the Point Curve different from the Tone Curve?
If I right-click (Windows) in the curve dialog, the context menu has a Show Info option. I click it on/off and don't see any change or any info. Where should I be looking for info?
Photoshop :: Why Does Clone Tool Adjust Tone
Mar 14, 2012Clone tool has never acted like the demos show it too. This is how it has worked in CS3, 4, 5. I see all the demos that show it working as I would think it should. In reality all I have ever gotten is cloned items which are visually close but are always lighter or darker.
That is light items clone even lighter, about an f stop worth and dark items clone even darker about 1.5 f stops it seems. In fact it will clone white and black just fine but is really almost impossible to get accuate work around neutrals such as skin. After months of various reading and tonight alone I have spent 5 hours of settings and variations trying to get accurate work to no avail. Am I using the wrong tool?
I find I can get accurate clone if I select an area, Control J a layer and then move it and put it in w/ healing or such as necessary. Why must clone adjust things?

Illustrator :: Selection Tool Won't Adjust Shapes
Feb 1, 2010when working on illustrator my selection tools won't adjust shapes anymore. I can move shapes around but I cannot resize them or stretch them. If I have a rectangle shape on my screen selected, the hash marks that are normally in the middle are no longer there, also at the edges of the rectangle the selection tool doesn't change over to the rotate tool. My selection tool also has a small black square at the bottom right of it that I haven't noticed before. I have no clue how I got into this mode, preferably without resetting all of my preferences,

Jun 19, 2012I didnt see an auto adjust option in the gmask node, I can always use the hot key (classic smoke not FCP7 ha!) but I think its a nice feature to not have hidden.
Also having the context button in plain site not a right click would be nice too. Not a fan of the right click anything being a long time user of smoke and flame.

I tried creating an ellipse and filling it in with semi-transparent brush and use the dents tool on it but its just not... WAVY enough. Is there a plugin or way to add more lines to the lines/curve tool? That would be VERY useful at all times so I can make custom waves/do more things with it.

Jan 23, 2014When using the Line / Curve tool, I tend to cause a line to "finish" because when I try to click on a handle to bend the line, I miss, (due to poor vision)... and the line can no longer be adjusted. Is there a way to cause the handles to re-appear so I can complete the line the way I need to? "Undo" only makes the line disappear, and I have to start all over.

In the past, I have had no trouble doing this, but I now find that the lines no longer merge into one another, but overlap. I get the same effect when using the paintbrush tool. It is probably something that I am doing incorrectly, but blowed if I know what.

Sep 24, 2013I had actually just used it to render something, and went to create a new path to continue my picture. However, the path tool decided it doesn't like to curve anymore so when I click on the line it simply moves the object. I didn't change any settings between finishing my first path and starting the second. It is still in design mode.
I've also wanted to ask if it is possible to link two anchors together when one of the anchors in question is in a complete path. Like, say I have three lines and anchors forming a triangle, shouldn't I be able to link a new anchor to one of the existing ones? Because I sure as heck can't.

Mar 18, 2011I cannot work out how to consistently go from drawing a straight line to drawing a curve and then back again to a straight line....
The first two steps are fine, but when I go to the third step of trying to draw a straight line after a curve I am having problems, it does not seem to be consistent - I click on the last node which then displays the line next to the pen but if I try to click for a straight line - it makes a curve!
If I use the Alt key and click the node, this also sometimes works but not always and I can't for the life of me work out a way to get it to work in the same way all the time.

Mar 6, 2011One of the things I do a LOT is outline a circular object (in a photo) using the line/curve tool in a separate layer so that I can select the circular thing or everything else. Hope that made sense. Anyway, the thing is not exactly a circular and the line/curve tool works great but it would be nice to have a shape tool that would draw a circle that could be sized/positioned and slightly deformed using nibs (or nubs or whatever) similar to the line/curve tool.
Is there a way to do that with the built in shape tool? Or is there a plugin?

Green Circle: Where the lines meet end to end
Red Circle: Where the lines overlap
Blue Circle: Where I crossed lines perpendicularly in example of what's going wrong.

Jan 8, 2009URL...But it uses a `Shear' tool in the program to get the curve of the coloured band. I was just wondering which one in PDN would do the same. I have tried sine waves without success and also the waves effect plug in. But neither will give the required effect.
BTW - I eventually managed to get the curve using Sine Waves but had to rotate the bar through 90 degrees first but it is still not exactly the same as the tut. It really needs a shear tool.

May 7, 2013I am trying to adjust the noise level with the level tool but its not working. I move the arrows every which way see that it changes. I get it to were i want it them press ok and it only changes a little bit.
It become what it was in the preview. The level tool works when I add it as a new adjustment layer but I don't want like that I want to be able to copy the new level of noise I just made and can't if I add new adjustment. what should I do to fix this? O and this is the trial version and It wasn't working earlier with lots of other tool but i uninstalled it and now they are working except the level tool how I want it to.
