View 7 Replies View RelatedI designed artwork for a large banner (84" x 32") so my AI artboard is that large. As you can imagine, with all the text and graphics I used, this file size is 22.8 MB. I need to email this art to the printer, but the file size is too large to email. How do i go about reducing the file size in AI so it still maintains large format print resolution? Will saving to a PDF lose the print quality?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have completed a project with lots of layers and saved as a psd file including all the layers. I then flatten the image and save it as a jpeg. The jpeg doesn't look at all like the original psd. this is the only file I have ever had that has done this. no other files are currently doing it. Just this one important days to complete file.I work with Mac OS 10.6.8 Photoshop CS6 - Raw file to begin with. Never had this issue.
View 58 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure it's possible but I'm trying to batch convert a bunch of RAW (NEF) files to JPG. Altering the file extension in bridge doesn't seem to work. Although it does convert the file name, photoshop does not recognise the file format when trying to open the jpg.
Is this process possible or is there a way I should be doing this? I have 300 RAW files and don't really want to open each one up individually and convert to jpg.

Using Photoshop CS5, those lines will not appear.
Is there a way of converting a Photoshop file into a workable word file?
I dont want the photoshop file in word as a picture I have done that but I cannot work on the file in Word which I want to do.
I have an image that I worked on in CS6 Extended, and then I flattened the layers, and 'saved-as' a PDF file. Then I opened the pdf file and there's a magenta colored outline going around the entire border of the image.
Why is that? I can't remeber that happening anytime before now but I will say that I did mess around with the Reader tools and Nav bar settings not too long ago. Did i set something off that I shouldn't have?

In converting a flat rgb jpg to an eps via Save As… the file size increases to basically uncompressed size. I thought eps files could contain jpg format. Has that changed?
I also notice eps files are no longer supported when clipping paths to InDesign. Is eps file type being deprecated?

I've got 32 TIF files, each the page of a comic book. i want to crete a 32 page PDF file. Turning one tiff into one PDF in Photoshop is easy. But two or more into a single pdf document... I don't see how.
I went to some other forums and was called 'stupid', 'lazy' etc. and am very frustarted at this. I simply cannot spend any more time researching because I have wasted days doing just that.
Suddenly I can't save my PSD files as JPEG file without CS6 wanting to turn them into tiff files. Keeps prompting me to to choose from a drop down menu as Maya or Amiga files.
I've checked to be sure my file is set for 8 bits and srgb. Not working with video files of any sort. In fact, I've tried saving past PSD files as JPEG and it's giving me the same iff prompt.
After converting CR2 Raw files to Jpeg the size of the files is too small. How if possible Can one increase file size in Elements 9?

I know that I can save an autocad drawing, or objects in a drawing, as a .DXF file. I also know that i can purchase, or obtain an open-source version of, software that will then convert the .DXF file to a .nc file. Currently, my company does not do 3-d models. I have not dealt with this before, so, I am wondering if my drawings will need to be 3-d in order for the .nc code to be correctly read.
I have a file (sample attached) that I need to be able to open in CorelDRAW X5. I was told that the file was created in Corel something, then modified in AI. When I open or import it, I get garbage.

I downloaded and registered the Ghostgum software and also the pstoedit software to change the logo I have as an eps file into something I can import into CAD as a dxf. But it won't let me do it. I have searched the help menu in the ghostgum software for a solution but nothing seems to be working. A warning dialogue box comes up saying the interpreter seems to have failed and cannot proceed. I am attaching a copy of the logo I am trying to convert.

When I tried to look at it in 3D view, it looks like a city.. but it is not solids and some lines are made from hatches. Before I remember we tried the flatten command to flatten the drawings but when I use the softwares that we have (from autodesk) it doesn't have that command. I searched the net for some solutions or an equivalent command for flatten but it doesn't solve the problem.

The garmet pattern was created in the CAD progrom PAD.
PAD exports .dxf and .txt files. The dxf file imports into AI as text and code. The .txt file is unusable. It's scale is skewed and important information is missing from the file.
I'm working in AI 5.5 on a Mac. I've imported .dxf files from other cad progrms like Optitex no problem.
PAD exports .dxf AAMA. I need to import this into AI, and the AI forums say Illustrator can read .dxf files.
I have 14000 Freehand mx file and need to be able to open them in Illustrator cs6.... how can I convert them to ai files ... I do not have CS4 or CS5....
