I'm not sure it's possible but I'm trying to batch convert a bunch of RAW (NEF) files to JPG. Altering the file extension in bridge doesn't seem to work. Although it does convert the file name, photoshop does not recognise the file format when trying to open the jpg.
Is this process possible or is there a way I should be doing this? I have 300 RAW files and don't really want to open each one up individually and convert to jpg.
I want to batch convert the above. I know i can convert one image at a time. If not can one recommend a batch conversion program which is safe to use and free from viri and malware.
We create hundreds of large .AI-files (ranging from 10-100 MB in size) every few months, and before we can send them to our suppliers, we have to save them as PDF-files (both in order to reduce the size, but also to make sure our suppliers can open them). Now, the straight-forward answer is of course to open each file and export it to PDF manually.. But that takes way to long. Â The files are saved on a server in a folder with several subfolders all containing ai-files.Is there a smart way to convert all the files from AI to PDF?
i'm totally new to scripting. i have a bunch of illustrator cs5 files (actually some of them might be older cs versions). they all have an artboard size of 200 x 200. i need to resize them to 700 x 700 and save them as png24 preserving transparency and keeping the same file name. is this possible? if so, any examples?
Is there any way of running a batch process to convert a number of AutoCad drawings into Tiff format, at once? Also, if a batch process is not available, can we save our plot settings for conversion to Tiff so that they can be recalled at a later stage? We would like to be able to transfer the same plot settings to other PCs so that we are all producing the same formatted files. Are the plot settings transferable?
I designed artwork for a large banner (84" x 32") so my AI artboard is that large. As you can imagine, with all the text and graphics I used, this file size is 22.8 MB. I need to email this art to the printer, but the file size is too large to email. How do i go about reducing the file size in AI so it still maintains large format print resolution? Will saving to a PDF lose the print quality?
As an organization, we have opted to go with STB as we have some complicated requirements that CTB doesn't accommodate. The wisdom of that decision is a moot point and I'm aware of the vast array of opinion.
We have a legacy of CTB drawings that occassionally need to be brought forward when projects get resurrected (state government highway designs are prone to getting shelved).
Up to AutoCAD 2009, I've had a VBA routine that performed a few operations on a list of files stored in a text file:
- Open the file
- Convert to STB using "CONVERTPSTYLES" with a specified STB file.
- Run a script to load a layer state file to change the plot styles from Style1, Style2 etc, to their correct named plot styles.
- Manage a recalcitrant layer that refused to play ball.
- Save and close the document
- Get the next file........
This was all fine until 2010 came along with the announcement that VBA was to be phased out. 2010 is OK with the VBA enablers, but now I've got some work to do.
Our organisation's development language is C# and I'm using Visual Studio 2008 Professional Edition to develop my C# .NET code.
Is there another mechanism than "SendStringToExecute" for sending a command such as convertpstyles to AutoCAD and getting .NET to wait for it to finish before proceeding.
I've got CommandEnded code that handles waiting for MTEXT and DTEXT commands to finish and I've tried constructing a CommandEnded for CONVERTPSTYLES, but it seems to me that commands that throw dialogue boxes such as CONVERTPSTYLESand SCRIPT aren't handled the same way.
I've tried setting FILEDIA to 0 prior to running the CONVERTPSTYLES command, however the message box that CONVERTPSTYLES presents before asking for the STB file appears to be getting in the way.
I have a website Inspire2rise dot com . I recently came across a beautiful PSD file that I wanted to apply to my site's design. My site is based on WordPress. Is there any tool for converting the psd file to WordPress compatible theme?
I have completed a project with lots of layers and saved as a psd file including all the layers. I then flatten the image and save it as a jpeg. The jpeg doesn't look at all like the original psd. this is the only file I have ever had that has done this. no other files are currently doing it. Just this one important days to complete file.I work with Mac OS 10.6.8 Photoshop CS6 - Raw file to begin with. Never had this issue.
Is there any way GIMP can batch or copy metadata from one file to other file(s)? Specifically, a list of keywords from one image to other images that would use the same keywords.
here is the screen shot of the PSD which i converted into HTML. It is done with Slice select too. and i got this kind of error in output. so i want a way by which i can transform my psd designs the same way they look in to working website. the template goes other places
What is the maximum number of files you can open when using batch-processing?
I need to process more then 100.000 files one by one. The files are stored in a folder structure. I try Automate -> Batch -> Source: Folder, but it will not start with the first image.
Are there other solutions (Scripting, Bridge, more memory maybe)?
I converted a PDF-file (PDF/X-1a) into a Photoshop file using Photoshop CC and got fine lines over the picture. Â Using Photoshop CS5, those lines will not appear.
Is there a way of converting a Photoshop file into a workable word file? Â I dont want the photoshop file in word as a picture I have done that but I cannot work on the file in Word which I want to do.
I have an image that I worked on in CS6 Extended, and then I flattened the layers, and 'saved-as' a PDF file. Then I opened the pdf file and there's a magenta colored outline going around the entire border of the image. Â Why is that? I can't remeber that happening anytime before now but I will say that I did mess around with the Reader tools and Nav bar settings not too long ago. Did i set something off that I shouldn't have? Â I have the absolute latest version of PDF Reader, (updated on 5-26-13). Â Windows 7 64 bit, 8gb Ram, i7-2600k 5.Ghz, ATI HD 7850PE, 700W PSU, etc, etc.
In converting a flat rgb jpg to an eps via Save As… the file size increases to basically uncompressed size. I thought eps files could contain jpg format. Has that changed?  I also notice eps files are no longer supported when clipping paths to InDesign. Is eps file type being deprecated?
I've been converting pictures from raw to jpeg and copying for transfer onto usb. After transfer I try to open the file in the organizer and it's missing
I've to inseart a color overlay in a 200 icon set.
Till last week the batch tool was working properly to do this action. Since yesterday, when I use the same action the batch works but the files are with 25KB (before they were between 100 to 200 bytes). Â Details: Photoshop CS6 version 13.1.2
I'm running Photoshop CS5 on a PC with Windows XP pro, Core 2 Duo E4400@2GB, 4GB DDR2 RAM, MSI MS7350 Mainboard, ATI Radion X1050 Graphics card, 1 Analog LCD screen and one digital. I'm using an empty 1TB drive for a scratch disk.  My Photoshop CS5 runs flawlessly UNTIL I try to batch-process anything. If I go to File>Automate>Photomerge, no problem, but when I go to File>Automate>Batch, the second I hit Batch, I get an error message telling me that Windows has to shut down Photoshop. I never had this problem with CS4, which I never deleted and have to use when batching.
I have an older version of Photoshop, (7.0), but I'm sure the Batch Conversion Process is similar with all versions. I have a folder of photos, (large file sizes), I'd like to reduce each file size to a little bigger than a Thumnail size. This is hopefully something I can do bysetting the same parameters to all the photos. Here's what I've figured out (so far)FileAutomateBatchChoose Source FolderChoose Destination Folder That's about it - when I choose both folders, I can't seem to pull up the parameters to reduce the file sizes.
I have been trying to a create a batch job and save the files with an extension ie:
picture1.jpg to picture1_s.jpg
I want to put an extension on the resised small images.
I can get the batch job to alter the dpi and sizes but I can't find a way to add a letter into the file name as above to differentiate the different sizes.
My Windows 7 PC does have CS5 installed. I also have a full Office 2010. Â I've got 32 TIF files, each the page of a comic book. i want to crete a 32 page PDF file. Turning one tiff into one PDF in Photoshop is easy. But two or more into a single pdf document... I don't see how. Â I went to some other forums and was called 'stupid', 'lazy' etc. and am very frustarted at this. I simply cannot spend any more time researching because I have wasted days doing just that.
Suddenly I can't save my PSD files as JPEG file without CS6 wanting to turn them into tiff files. Keeps prompting me to to choose from a drop down menu as Maya or Amiga files.
I've checked to be sure my file is set for 8 bits and srgb. Not working with video files of any sort. In fact, I've tried saving past PSD files as JPEG and it's giving me the same iff prompt.
I'm saving animation frames to individual PNG files. I have each image on a single layer in one group. Is there any way I can batch save all of them as individual PNGs? Right now I'm saving them one by one and it's tedious with over 100 frames.
Saves for web and devices as a jpeg high quality  When I run the batch on that action it seems to be simply opening the psd document and saving as psd in the output folder, without converting to jpg.
My camera software dumps jpegs and raw files into a single folder.  I am wanting to batch (automate) process the jpegs in said folder, but not the camera's raw files. How do I employ an action that will only run on the jpegs in the folder and skip the raw files?
