I have some ps files on an external firewire disk; I can open them if I open PS7 first, but if PS is not open and I double click on them I get a quick message at the top of the screen saying "Check Plugin" and PS7 doesn't open.
when I checked the file list on the external disc I found the files were labelled "CheckPlugin document" -
(OS 9.2.2 on main internal HD)
I'm looking for a way to programmatically check if a dll file is a AutoCAD plug-in, preferably getting the version too.The only thing I can think of is using
System.Reflection.Assembly.ReflectionOnlyLoad()
to load the dll, search thru its references looking for Acad-specific (acdbmgd etc.) get the reference version, compare it to a list....

I save each PSD as a PDF using PhotoShop and then use Acrobat to create the finaly PDF from multiple files.
When this is opened in Internet Explorer, i get errors. When I save the file to my desktop and then open it, it works fine.

Searching on web I find out that similar happened with PyMel but solutions from there do not work. I see that libssl and libcrypto are already in Maya lib folder, symlinked from support folder. How can I find out what exactly is missing here, or what is Maya (Bullet) compiled with so I can fix this?
After I installed the stereo camera plugin (after SP3), every time I start Max, I get this script error:

View 3 Replies View RelatedI added a new tag to a large batch of photos which then needed to be re-upoaded. It was taking a very long time and about halfway through, I got an error. I started the Publish funtion again and all was fine, but then again with a handful of photos left, I got the error. This time the Publish function didn't move anything and I just got the error. Even after removing the new tag from the remaining photos, I am unable to use the plugin to upload any new photos to my flickr account. I use the flickr library within LR as part of my organization strategy and really don't want to use any other uploader.
The error message in question: Flickr API returned an error message (function flickr.photos.setMeta, message Bad URL found)
After not having much luck with the last video card, I changed my video card to a device with the Philips 713x chipset
Now when I select video capture I get the following message:

I have just installed card (SAA7130 TV PCI card) with latest drivers excluding the software so Video Studio 12 pro is the only capture software on the machine . I also re-installed both card and Video Studio after doing a complete system restore and used CC cleaner to remove any residual data before re-installing.
I need to use video capture within the Video Studio software as I need to use the scene detection functionality.The reason I had to change the card in the first place is that video studio only allowed me to capture in AVI 320x240 and gave 'capture failed' errors with anything else.

Neather one of these applications are running while using Video Studio. I checked and nothing else is utilizing this USB WDM 2860 device. I reinstalled the software, installed the patches, and uninstalled the USB drivers and reinstalled them.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am incurring a fatal error while i am running a plugin i have developed in .NET. I am using AutoCAD 2012 and .NET 4.0. Where the fatal error occurs is when i am filtering a list for specific colors and specific linetypes to populate a listbox with. I did a quite a bit of reading and the only thing i have found is ( in debug compiler is giving a little more memory space for said collection and when i run it in outside of debug it is not. ) Now i dont really understand how to fix this issue or can verify that it really is the issue. is there some type of setting i can change inside of autocad for debugging so it doesn't completely shut down?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just bought Silver Efex pro 2 after uninstalling a pirated version my sister downloaded. When I try to edit a photo in Silver Efex 2 through Lightroom 4 a box comes up and says unexpected error performing command: bad argument #1 to lower (string expected, got nil). I am not good with computers.
Also is there any way to restore factory defaults all throughout Lightroom. Maybe doing that and reinstalling Silver Efex would work? Even when I deleted the pirated version of Silver Efex the Silver Efex still showed up in the Edit In box. I need to get that one to go away so the new Silver Efex will appear in Edit in box I guess.
I'm running Photoshop Elements 5.0. Everything was working fine til this mornin. I've had the program for about a year now. When I tried to open it this morning I got this error message that popped up.
It says:
Unable to continue because of a hardware or system error. Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable.
I've tried repairing the program. That didn't work. Restarted my computer. That didn't work. Uninstalled the program and tried opening it again. That didn't work. I'm at a loss! I really need to get into my program b/c my work is there. I tried opening some of my files (they are located in my Pictures folder) and they pop up with the same message.
When I use the spell checker in Photoshop CS5 to check a text layer (in English), all I ever get is a message saying "Spell check complete" -- never any evidence of any errors being detected. It would be nice to think I'm a perfect speller, but the reality is it does this even when I can clearly see there are mistakes (for example, I've tested it by inserting gibberish words into my text).
Where are the spelling dictionaries, etc. installed, and what files should I find there for English spelling?

I'm using Photoshop CS 3 to design a website. I used several shapes such as rectangle, line or ellipse of different size. Probably it is a stupid question but I don't know how to check the size of an existing rectangle. I tried free transform tool that selects my rectangle but doesn't show its size. Then I made a selection with rectangular marquee tool but I see nowhere the size of the selected area.

I think this has something to do with levels, and not having blown-out whites or clipped blacks, but how do I check that those are the levels in my final proofs?
