Photoshop :: Type Cursor Covers Several Lines Of Text CS6
Aug 5, 2013In Photoshop CS6 the flashing type cursor cuts through several lines of text (see image).
This makes it hard to select text since it is hard to tell which line the cursor will select (see image).
Can the text cursor be resized? This happens no matter what type size is used or what paragraph settings are selected. I am using Windows 7 professional, service pack 1 on a Dell Precision T3500 with 8.0 GB RAM.
Photoshop :: Getting Lines In Prints CS6
Jun 28, 2013I am getting lines in my prints from PhotoShop CS6.
My printer is the Canon MX522.
Ive noticed that printing from other *dumb* programs such as Microsoft Paint the images look fine BUT with photoshop the images print ultra fast and have lines. It looks like note taking paper. How do I fix this? I am guessing this is some kind of Printer quality setting????
Photoshop :: Existing Type Layer Replaced By Text With Other Type Layer Text Upon Changing Properties?
Jun 6, 2012I have a type layer with some text in it (a headline, let's say). I click on the layer, I click on the Character Panel, and first thing I see is the color in the Panel is not the color of the font in the layer.
I then click on any Panel property, and the text in this layer is replaced by text from another layer in my document ( a paragraph layer, let's say), but the color is not the same as the layer the text came from.

Sep 5, 2012Auto-Cad prints fuzzy lines. Its worse when they are enlarged. Drawings are printing as PDF files.

Nov 14, 2013So I've drawn a 3d model in Autocad 2011 and when I come to print it in either layout or model view I get lines that appear. These lines do not show up in the print preview no do they look like they relate to the model itself, so I can't understand where they are coming from. I have the grid lines turned off and have exhausted everything else I can think of.

Jan 17, 2012I am having a problem with grid lines showing up in my print out from autocad, but only in the viewport that has 3D objects in it and displayed in conceptual mode or realistic mode. Don't know what is causing them or how to get rid of them. They do not show up on my screen or in the print preview. They only show up in the final prints and even when printing to a pdf file format. I have printed the same drawing out from other computers that have Autocad 2009 and do not get that problem. My computer has Autocad 2010. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled Autocad but that doesn't work.

Sep 11, 2012I have a sort of ring doughnut shape (just to be clear, a circle with the center cut out) and want to add text within this shape. To make the shape, I created a larger circle, then a smaller circle overlapping it and chose "Exclude Overlapping Shapes".
I can obviously click within the larger circle and then type along this path, either outside or inside depending on the baseline shift %, but the trouble is my text is multiple lines. When I press 'enter' I don't get a new line, I just lose the typing tool. Surely there's a way to do this? I'm using Photoshop CS6.

Jan 17, 2013I have a .shx font from our state DOT that I need to include on my sheets. The problem is on some drawings it is filled (like I want) and on others it is open (which is bad). The text is located in the layout tab. I've tried all of the following regular fixes with no luck:
Set the FILL command to on.
Set the FILLMODE system variable to 1.
Set the TEXTFILL system variable to 1.
In the Plot dialog box, clear Hide Objects.
Turn off the Hideplot property of the viewport.
I am guessing the problem is drawing specific bacuause I can copy the text back and forth between good and bad drawings and the fill comes and goes.
The same text object in 2 different drawings.
I also exported my system variables from the good and bad drawings and compared the two and none of the variables that matter were different.
I would just copy the drawings over into my good template and be done with it, but I have a large number of files that were created around the office that now have outlined text and don't have the time to monkey around copying all the drawings over to the good template. I know the long term solution is to get people to do things right in the first place, but in the mean time I'm hoping to be able to just change a variable and have the text be filled.
Paint.NET :: Text Looks Fuzzy And Prints Poorly
Apr 29, 2013I have read every tutorial that I can find online, and nothing is working. I am using Text+.
I need the text to be as sharp as it is in Publisher, Word, etc. The text that I'm getting in Paint.NET is so fuzzy that I can't use it in my work.
I have attached a sample - the top paragraph was created in Paint.net and pasted into Paint. The word "strategies" below was created in Paint, and it looks a lot better. I would rather not have to create all of my text in Paint (trying to get it sized and formatted correctly), and then past it as images into Paint.net.
GIMP :: Text Prints Out Smaller Than Shown On Screen
Nov 10, 2011The problem I`m having is that I have some text I want to have printed out. When viewing the image on GIMP the text image is the proper size that I want. When I print it out on my epson printer the text is much smaller. I called Epson and they said it must be a setting in GIMP. how to correct this? The file is a .png file.

3ds Max Modeling :: Type-in Tool For Drawing Lines?
Sep 26, 2013For architectural designing purpose I mainly use Sketchup because of its way of drawing like on paper but in 3D. Its quick, easy and precise. Therefor I use 3DS more or less for 3D compositing and freeform things like landscape and rendering. Sketchup is kind of a plugin for 3DS for me. The connection works well if you're modeling precisely and follow some rules.
Once in a while it comes up that Id like to draw more or less precise shapes in 3DS too, eg. kitchen appliances or whatever. I was searching for this often on the web, but only to find out that you can draw somehow approximately and use the type-in tool after to move (parts of) objects- or use the snap option while drawing, eg. to grid.
Just simple as: move cursor towards a certain direction, maybe lock angles with ctrl or shift or lock in relation to the line just drawn before, type in the distance and maybe the angle (or radius in arcs, whatever)- and continue to the next point.
Illustrator :: White Lines Around Type In Artwork
Sep 13, 2013I keep getting a white outlined box around type in my Illustrator artwork.It’s a simple logo design with a gradient circle with an S on top.
Text is converted to curves.Text and circle gradient are on different layers.Colors are CMYK. Not spot.Looks fine in Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign but shows up when exported or printed to Acrobat.Also shows up in MSWord 2010 and 2013.Exporting artwork to EPS, BMP, EMF, TIF, JPG, all produce the same result.Flattening the artwork doesn’t fix the issue.Having this issue with both Illustrator CS6 and CC.
Illustrator :: Area Type Box - Justify All Lines
Oct 23, 2012I want to create an Area Type box and have all of the text line up on both the left and right sides, so I use the Justify all Lines option.
1. After doing this, is there a way to adjust the spacing of the headline? I tried adjusting the tracking, though that didn't work. Is the only way to use a separate Area Type or Point Type for the headline so it is not affected by the Justify all Lines option?
2. Is there another way to acheive what I want?
GIMP :: Text Tool Jumping To Other Tools While Type In Text
Oct 26, 2013First it stops pasting anything except the first thing copied when Gimp opens, and now this. When I try to search for a font or type in text in the text tool in Gimp 2.8, it just jumps to random other tools instead of typing.
Why can't this program ever seem to work FULLY?

May 6, 2013Today Illustrator CS4 decided to start crashing on me when I try to paste text into the art board. It will also not allow me to type text into the artboard. Whenever I try to type, it just does all the tool shortcuts. I have alread tried deleting the preferences and that hasn't worked at all.

Oct 24, 2006I can't type text anymore. I choose the text tool, position it somewhere in my drawing, start typing but nothing shows up. I can see where I placed it because the small box is there. I tried adjusting to various point sizes, different colors, different fonts, but nothing seems to work. If I type something, what I typed shows up in the layer name but not the picture. Would anyone know what might be going on?

Recently, I created an image and clicked my text tool and then clicked on my document, and when i tried to type... no text would come out. I can't use any letters, spaces, or returns. However, if I copy and paste text in it will show up but I cannot backspace it or add to it, but i can click to the front and my delete key will work. I have recently installed adobe premier pro if this has anything to do with it i am not sure. I have tried the repair photoshop installing feature, a full uninstall and reinstall, and dumping my preferences folder.
I'm on a normal document it creates the text layer and i get a blinking cursor i just can't type anything ... my keyboard is working fine because i can use shortcuts like (ctrl +t) and those work i just can't type anything at all...
before the full reinstall it would crash if i copy and pasted text in, but now it does not crash.

Everything was working fine, and now I can't type anything. The cursor does not move. I tried typing on the line also nothing.
I think I did something to create this problem.
I tried deleting the preferences file, but that didn't work.

Sep 3, 2012I downloaded the Adobe CS6 cloud on September 1, 2012, and my laptop is a Dell-alienware m11x and it has 4 GB of RAM DDR3,it has an Intel i5 processor of 1.07 GHz,and it has a separate Nvidia graphics card.
So I'm pretty sure it should be able to handle Photoshop, but every time I go on Photoshop it makes my entire computer slow and the text key doesn't let me type in Photoshop.

Mar 6, 2012I created a path with the type tool, selected the path in the Paths panel, I started typing on the path and the type followed the path, though I chose edit > free transform path and scaled it, though the text did not move with the new path and now it is no longer on the path?
1. Why did the text not stay on the path as I transformed it?
2. How do you hide the path so you do not have to see it? I want it there only as a guide for my text to flow across.

Oct 10, 2012I am trying to design a pattern with different peoples names in (You can see a rough one I did in the image below, all the 'NAME HERE''s are on seperate text layers) and would like to know if there is a way to update all the type (i.e. change the 'NAME HERE' to actual names) at once? I know you can link the layers and press shift to edit the formatting but I want to update the actual letters.
