why photoshop would just crash in the middle of working or using tool or making a selection. It just stops and has an option to debug or close program and loses what you worked on since the last save and you have to restart the program.

I cannot pin point when it is doing it, because it keeps closing upon random tasks, not like it closes every time I try the same thing like saving.

I have 12 to 14 apps written in VBA. Randomly they crash when the user trys to run them.
Sometimes they load and work fine other times they crash inventor without reporting an error.
I bought CS6 upgrade from CS5 this week but it keeps randomly crashing I mainly use CS6 for digital art with my wacom intuos tablet. I have never had this problem with CS5 and I have a decent spec PC with 8 GB Ram and a quadcore CPU so I dont understand why this is happening. In the preferences menu I have save in backround and automatically save information every 10 minutes options checked. But the ironic thing is that when I have been drawing a long time and Photoshop crashes and when I reopen CS6 there is no recovery file and the origional file hasnt been updated with auto save. I have 7 different versions of a particular digital painting I have been working on but CS6 only saved 2 recovery files from the 7 versions and has crashed atleast 16 times between my work. I have CS6 updated to the latest version from online update but the problem still persists.

I have run Revit 2012 on this computer without any issues, but recently switched to Revit LT 2013 and have been having a tremendous amount of problems with it crashing. I am working on a quad core i7 laptop with 32 gb of ram and a Nvidia GeForce video card with 4gb of ram. The operating system is Window & 64 bit.
When I initially installed 2013 it would randomly crash on close. The file was always saved even if I didn't save before close and let it save through the closing process. It would send a report to Autodesk, but this was an error that I could honestly live with since it didn't cause problems while I was working.
On rare occasions it would crash while I was working in the program. No warnings, and no report to Autodesk, it would just close and not save what I had been working on. Becoming a bigger fan of constantly saving.
It also crashed when I was working in the file manager either opening, doing a save as, etc. I narrowed this arrow down to clicking on a folder with the right mouse button (hoping to rename the folder). The easy fix was to stop doing that.However, recently it seems to have begun to crash far more often, many times at ten to fifteen minute intervals. Some of the occasions it occurs at are:
-trying to change the end location or arc of a leader
-editing the boundary of a fill region (when launching the trim command)
-using the paste command to copy line work from one detail to another.
Each time it will crash it will come up with the window that the program has stopped working and windows is looking for a solution. Eventually windows closes the program.
I have tried turning off the 3d acceleration in Revit and that had disasterous results. Revit would load but immediately when loading a file and trying to display the image/drawing.
When I'm gonna write my program stops and appears a box that says Run time error and close my program. What is that, what I coul do?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI opened up some photos to edit this evening, and have discovered that the camera profile options are gone. All that is available are the two ACR ones. I shot with the same camera and lens as I have before (Nikon D40 and 50mm), and I double checked, and I shot everything in RAW. I don't know what's going on. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit, and have LR 3.6. I would really like to use Camera Standard and Camera Vivid.

I have tried to do the update when I first turn the computer on, go directly to Photoshop, go to update and click on that, get new screen, close Photoshop, and I still get a message to close the already closed program. I believe I have to open Photoshop to get to the update area, so I don't know how to get around this issue. (I use win8, 64 bit)

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having an issue where AutoCad Architecture 2011 is crashing on some but not all machines (4 total) when a file is closed.
We are also getting what appears to be random slow downs on files when opening and a jumpy mouse that makes drawing impossible. I have not been able to establish a pattern to point at specific files to being the problem as it happens across several the are fine one day, not fine the next and fine again a day later. All stations are identical.

My Elements 9 program keeps crashing. This occurs often -- after I have edited, saved, and closed a photo image file. I then cannot get back into the Organizer. I have to shut down and restart Photoshop Elements in order to work on the next image. My operating system is Windows 7, 64 bit processor.

It's defaulting to the Finder view, but I can't even close that out before the program quits. I have tried to launch it by opening a file and that does not work either.

First one is when I close PSP the process still runs for a good 10 minutes afterwards and consumes a lot of system memory. I found this by accident after I closed PSP X5 and then decided to start it again. It wouldn't open until I closed the previous process.
Second, when I start PSP after the splash screen and the program interface appear I have to wait about 1 minute 40 seconds before I can do anything with the program.
how to improve this situation because at the moment I don't consider this acceptable?

Had this installed and working fine for a month or so. Just learning how to use this when today when I went to start it up it would get to the welcome box and just stop. The box was completely blank and the only way to turn the program off was to use the Task Manager to close it down. After reading a few post on similar situations - the advise was to uninstall then reinstall the software. Used the windows uninstaller, afterwards rebooted then tried to re-install.
When I put in the the DVD I get to the screen where I accept the license agreement - scroll to the bottom and check the box to accept - hit next and nothing happens. I checked the services.msc and the Application Experience is started and on automatic.Tried this in the internal and external DVD drive with the same results.

View 3 Replies View RelatedJust recently, upon closing PSP x5, a message window pops up, the title area usually references using the e-learning center or "Explore more ways to learn and love photography", but the window itself is empty except for the message "Do not display this message again" with a checkbox and a Close button. The Close button does not work, nor does the red X close window button. I have to go into Task Manager to finish closing the program.
I'm on a Windows 8 machine and this just started happening after months of use.
Whenever I open the Volumes Dashboard in a drawing and then close it, my cursor and my WCS compass start blinking erratically, and the program seems more apt to freeze up when I try to do other things from that point on, especially if I try to move to a drawing in another tab. If I bring back the volumes dashboard, it's fine again, but then I've got the annoying outlining of my volume surfaces that I don't want. how to handle this? Is it just an unavoidable glitch in the program?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI edited a wedding video that is over 90 minutes long (it was a wedding in Ireland). It was filmed in AVCHD on a pro video camera.
I wanted to produce a standard DVD and a Blu Ray copy to send over. The DVD copy rendered fine but the Blu Ray as well as the AVCHD file crashed every time and even crashed the computer to re-start. It crashed at around 30% in and I tried a number of different combinations to accomplish this render.
What I then did after a few attempts was to look at the last frame of the couple of files it did render to see where on the time line it was crashing.
It turned out it was on a transition I customised, I think using proDAD VitaScene. It was a transition that created a twinkling star effect from one scene to the next. As soon as I removed this one transition and it rendered a Blu Ray file with no problems at all.
One question though, I am not sure why there are so many choices of Blu Ray and AVCHD in the menu. What is the difference and which one would be the generally used one.
