Photoshop CS6 | iMAc with Mountain Lion
I am creating a square on a new layer. I then use the keyboard shortcut cmd-option-t I move the copy of teh square to a new location and press enter to accept.Now I am suppose to be able to press cmd-option-shift-t to repeat the previous move. Nothing happens.
I checked my keyboard shotcuts and the shortcut cmd-option-shift-t is not beign used as far as i can tell.
I have an ellipse (blue shape in screen shot) 120mm tall / 135mm wide;
and then I have ELEVENT tabs (magenta in screen shot) that will be attached to this; these tabs need to step and repeat evenly around the ellipse.
how I could achieve this effect?
After laying up a nameplate design and having inspection verify the design I went to the next stage of of our production which is step and repeat.
I stepped the nameplate 5 down and items 3 and 4 are missing 1 line of text but the text re-appears on the last (5th) image. I then I stepped it accross 6 times with items 3 and 4 still missing text all the way accros (I would expect this). The missing text went un-noticed by both me and inspection since the first (upper left) and last (lower right) images should be identically correct and they were.
I am designing perfume bottles and for that i need to to repeat a semi circle to repeat over a curved surface fo the bottle. To simplify the problem i have created curved surface and made a semi cirle as a feature, now i want the feature to repeat on the curved surface. I have tried to rectangle pattern, aswell as the circular pattern in all possible ways i can think.
P.s. I have hp I7 processor, 8 gb ram, windows 7 and am using autodesk inventor pro 2013
Running the latest Photoshop CS6 on Mac and the Step Backward keyboard shorcut does not work at all. Command-Z works fine; Command-Option-Z does nothing. I don't believe I'm running any custom keyboard apps that would interfere, and when I check Photoshop's Keyboard Shortcuts it's right there (correctly set as the default).
View 13 Replies View RelatedI have somehow reversed the process of changing a sky in my photo so that when I get to the point of painting in the sky from the 2nd photo, it is painting with white (not black) that brings out the background I want on the original photo. I cant see any version options when saving the sat or stp file, also dwg export, import doesnt work either
I can see other people are still able to do this, is there a setting somewhere?
I have CTR-Z mapped to step backward.
Using two different shortcuts for "undo" (one step back) and "Step Backward" (Multiple steps back) makes no sense to me. As such, I rarely use the regular undo, and do not have it mapped.
The case:
When I switch to a new layer, do a brush stroke and undo it, photoshop treats my undo as a switch back to the layer I came from. This happens a LOT, and not just to me, but to a lot of designers I know (I'm a GUI designer at a game company). Some of them have even formed a habit of "erasing" a bit in an empty part of the layer, just in case the'd later want to undo. That's bad.
My proposed solution:
-First undo my stroke, Leave my selected layer alone.
-On a NEXT press of "Step backward" change my current layer to the one I came from.
I have a Command Method which has a loop that opens and commits transactions until the user is finished with it and exits.
I would like each transaction to be undone separately but the undo command undoes the CommandMethod (along with all the transactions that occurred while in the loop)
Do I need to use the COM StartUndoMark and EndUndoMark to get this working?
how can I create a repeat pattern in CS5 when the pattern is staggered like bricks? Also, I am wanting to print this design on fabric but the lab keeps saying that when they repeat the pattern, there is a white border that shows up around it. I've searched everywhere. Here is a sample of the design I want to repeat.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded to CS3 on Windows XP and every few days I am prompted to register. I registered twice and then spoke with Customer Service who could not see the registration so they manually registered me. Since then the registration screen appeared again and I registered a third time.
I just spent 4 1/2 hours on the phone going back and forth between Adobe Customer Service and Photoshop support. Customer Support wants me to return CS3 and buy it again under a different customer number. Support wants me to uninstall all Adobe products, delete the registry branch under HKLMSOFTWAREAdobe, delete all Adobe content under "Program Files" and under "Documents and Settings", create a new user account, add that new user to the Administrators group, then reinstall all Adobe products using that new user account.
I asked support where Photoshop CS3 records the registration information and was told that since CS3 is a new product, they do not have that level of technical information.
Has anyone else had a registration problem with CS3 on XP?
where the registration information is stored? If it is stored in the registry, I should be able to manually enter the keys and data.
When I am trying to make a pattern that will fit a certain area I always just cut and paste to grow the pattern to a certain size.

I have a picture of a house with the sidewalk at the bottom. I am trying to fill the remainder of my enlarged canvas with "sidewalk". I know there has to be a way, but I can't figure it out!
I did try single row & single column marquee, but it gives me a striped pattern - not the exact sidewalk that the pic ends with.
I want to crop several images to size, then add a white boarder, a drop shadow and a stroke. Is there a way to automate the process, so they are all exactly the same?

How would I be able to create an image like this where the highlighted section completes in sequence. i.e - the overlapping sequence stays correct?
Is there a key command to do what you just did? For instance, I build charts and sometimes I need to rotate every piece of the chart by 90 degrees... one piece at a time. Is there a key command that will just let me repeat this over and over? I'm using Illustrator CS6 on a Mac.
I don't want to rotate the whole chart, just pieces of it... that's why I don't just select all and rotate at once...
When selecting a tab in the tabpalette for "repeating" ("repeat tab" in submenu on the right of the palette) Illustrator (CS3) simply puts tabs all over the place (not repeating the original tab you selected - unlike INDESIGN which does it right!).
