Photoshop :: CS6 - Creating Space For Images To Display

Using CS6 on my desktop and laptop. On desktop, all my palettes are on the second monitor and the primary monitor is dedicated to displaying images. All the images are in tabs.

On the laptop (18" widescreen), I have two columns of the palettes I use constantly on the right, and the tools against them. This leaves me space to the left for images to display. My problem is that when I have things set up with images as tabs, the images appear to use the entire screen, always partially obscured by my palettes.Â

Is there a way for me to have CS6 full-screen, palettes on the right, AND somehow define a space so my images aren't obscured by the palettes?
I have a drawing that has several Paper Space tabs, and each tab has one or more viewports.
When I open the drawing, I can see all the information in Paper Space mode, and I can access the Model Space through the viewports, using the MS command. When I switch to Model Space, nothing is displayed.
Lightroom will not display preview images during import of raw images. Any images in other formats display fine but with raw images I get a gray window the size of the preview image and the words "preview unavailable for this file".
I wanted to find some space-related brushes from photoshop
Obviously using a solid color and painting the brushes on a black background isn't going to do very much for me. I'm kinda new to Photoshopping stuff but I was wondering how they got the shiny, mysterious coloring on those brush sets in the sample images, rather than a boring, solid color. What effects on they using?
Other than rendering this scene, I was trying to see if I can get the object in model space to show the details of the material I have in the browser more accurately.
I butchered the .dwg trying to compress it to an uploadable size, so I hope it can be viewed..
I have created a display theme style and legend with custom theme names (i.e. SECURITY, etc.). I have changed the themes display properties to what I want (i.e. ANSI31, blue, etc.).
I have also created space styles with the same custom names (i.e. SECURITY, etc.).
When I create a space with a custom space style the display properties do not match the theme. I am hoping to find a way to have the space style display properties change when I change theme display properties. How do I get these items associated? Is it possible?
I am trying to create a property definition that will display the elevation of a space object. I looked through the automatic properties and did not find anything that looked like the elevation.
I have tried the following but was unable to achieve any success.

That formula does work if i swap elevation with say height, width,length or any of the properties found in the automatic property list that are a single word. I know the elevation is there I just don't know how to access it.
Is there a way to get model space to "display plot styles" through a lisp routine or a script?
i'm currently setting up a whole bunch of custom tool palettes for the company I work for and instead of the icons displaying in their actual colour (at the moment they're green, which doesn't show up very well on the light grey background), I'd rather they show in the plotstyle assigned to the individual dwg's.
call up the page setup manager (while in model space) and click modify, you can then check the radio button to "display plot styles" in the top-right corner. But when you have around 100 - 200 blocks to change, that process can be rather time consuming and cumbersome!
I just finished installing photoshop, and tried to open an image to edit.The image seems to load as there is a tab for it and it is visible in the layers panel,but the area where you edit the photo itself remains grey. I have updated my video card driver software.
I have recently upgraded from PS CS3 direct to PS CS6. I have an issue with the display of raw images taken by my Canon PowerShot S70 camera (.CRW format). Many of the portrait-style images are displayed as landscape. This appears to be random as not all portrait images are affected.
I did not have this problem with CS3. I have discussed the matter with the Adobe helpdesk which suggested various remedies (purging cache, resetting preferences) to no avail. They came to the conclusion that PS CS6 does not fully support the file structure generated by this camera in that it cannot detect from the file data that it should be displayed as a portrait image rather than as a landscape image.
I have two issues with this. Firstly, if true, it means that PS CS6 has taken a slightly backward step as far as I'm concerned and secondly, it does not answer the random nature of the incorrect display.Obviously I want these images to be displayed correctly. I can rotate them in Bridge/PS manually, but I have a lot of them scattered over many folders and it is a task I would rather be automated. Â This issue also occurs in Windows 7 Home Premium, but as I was using Win 7 HP with CS3 without this display issue, it appears to be an Adobe problem as it only occurred after the upgrade to CS6.
I have a bilbiotheek with trees and such, but Photoshop does not display small images of this already clipped objects. It is difficult to distinguish the various objects. How can I make sure that I see these images?
In CS2, how do I create and display the *DIFFERENCE* between two images?
I'm testing out some infrared "cleaning" software. When scanning an image, the infrared information is stored on a separate channel within the TIF file. After scanning, this software optionally combines this infrared channel with the image. I want to see the differences between the images with and without the software corrections. I want to see ONLY THE DIFFERENCES.
I've investigated XOR'ing the images, but haven't been successful.
So is there a way within CS2 to view only the differences between two images?
I am unable to display raw files automatically when downloaded into CS3 bridge from a D300 camera. My working system consists of : Windows XP, PSCS3 with camera raw_5_3, dng converter 5_2. Interestingly, similar raw files from a D70 camera display as expected without any problems. Is this a problem with the D300 camera?
I'm using PS 6.0 and I've been wondering how to make the color ranges/histograms etc. equal between two different images.
I'm making a birthday card, I have a backgound picture where I want to merge the face of the birthday hero, but obviously plain merge would look rather clumsy.
So I need to make the two "pictures look the same", like if the pictures were taken in similar conditions. All the grains, color depths, noise, saturation etc....
I'm an amatuer geek trying to do geeking things, like create my own cover design using Paint.net to upload for CreateSpace POD.
I downloaded my correct size template from CreateSpace, opened it with Paint.net, trimmed the excess white (I was told it was okay to do this) and started a bit of the design. Before getting too far in, I decided to take a look at the dimensions on the finished PDF.
I downloaded PrimoPDF and clicked print. With the "fit picture to frame" box checked, the right and left edges are cut off. When I uncheck the box, I get white space at the top and bottom. I'm afraid with the white space at the time and bottom, that will translate to the print book cover.
How to format a cover for CreateSpace using Paint.net and Primo?
I'm working on a textbook that's a mix of new images and pickups from the previous edition. I've noticed that many of the new images I've created with transparent backgrounds and saved as PSD files in CMYK mode display as negatives in Bridge.  I just now made some edits to a legacy file that was displaying properly in Bridge. I added some layers, deleted other layers, and saved the file with no color profile, and as soon as it refreshed in Bridge, it was a color negative.  what's going on here? I'm using Photoshop and Bridge CS5.1 on a Mac running OS 10.8.4.
Here's what I have: Â 250 GB Internal Hard-Disk (with Lightroom catalog on it) 60 GB Internal SSD-Disk (with Mac OS X Lion 10.7 on it) 2 TB External Hard-Disk (place where I try make my backup to) Â There is only appox. 6 GB free space on system disk (SSD). When I start to make catalog backup to External 2 TB disk, it makes it long time (copying files to External disk), then after a while Lightroom starts to "Optimizing catalog". And during this optimizing, Lightroom starts to eat disk space on the system disk (SSD). More and more, and then finally it show me the message "Lightroom was unable to back up the catalog named "XXXXX". Please check your folder permissions, and make sure that you have available space on your backup drive and main catalog's drive." Â The problem is that I actually HAVE free space on 250 GB disk (where catalog is located) and on External 2 TB (where is backup destination).Lightroom says NOTHING about the fact that he needs lots of free space on SYSTEM disk. But it actually eats it.And what I want to ask, whether it is possible to make Lightroom use space on another disk, not on system?
I'd like to know the coordinates relative to the last entry when creating lines (splines). When creating splines using the line tool, it would be useful to know the coordinates of my current cursor position relative to the last point in an easy way, so I can draw precisely a long line without having to memorize the coordinates of the last point.
Initially, I thought the 'Keyboard Entry" rollout would show the values that reflect what I'm doing visually, just like the rectangle tool for example, or pretty much any other tool, I don't know why the 'line' tool is different but anyways.
I am in need of creating a solid drawing from my wireframe drawing in model space. I have never done any 3d modeling in autocad before it took me a few days just to get the wireframe of a staircase done! I have tried to render this object in viewport but it disappears after I click on it or move around, therefore I cannot see it in my paper layout. How do I make a rendered object stay? Also I want to plot this on 22x34in and 11x17in paper, how would I go about getting a high quality rendered image. I am using autocad 2010.
Can you display the order in which images are shown within an album, (like you could in PE10), other than the stupid Oldest and newest that you now get with PE11?
I use AE CS5  The Issue as the title suggests is light source flickering off the asteroids... the asteroids were created using VCP plug in "Element 3D"  I havent had much experience using element as this is the first time I have tried it.. The light source is just standard AE light set to spot. It doesnt seem to make any difference changing it to "point" light or anything else.  I tried a few renders with different settings.. quicktime with sorenson 3 codec and animation codec didnt seem to do anything but I dont know alot about codecs to be honest  I've also posted a 4 sec vid for you to see my issue.. the flickering only seems to exist directly on the edge of some of the asteroids.  UPDATE --- Now that I have uploaded it to youtube for this forum post alot of the flickering seems to have dissapeared.. theres still a little I hope you can see it.. The anomoly is still very strong tho before uploaded....strange !
I'm trying to create a custom stamp in Photoshop. Done it with a 16 bits colorspace, saved as TIFF with the required options from the official documentation.
Why do i get a 'grainy' result, even painting with a 100% strength white color ? It happens only on a bump layer. On a diffuse layer, its ok.
I have both CS3 and CS6 and I can figure out how to do this exceedingly simple thing. Take an image, use a tool to create a spot on the image, make that location a hotspot - making it clicking/a hyperlink to a URL. Â This used to be - in the 90's - incredibly easy to do. I've tried slicing an image - but when I save for web - it creates multiple files, including, depending on how I save it, an html file. Â That doesn't work for my needs. I just want to take a gif/jpg/png image and make certain spots on it hyperlinked to different pages in my website. When I'm done, I need it to be, to remain, as one file, as one single gif/jpg/png file. Â No html. No css. Just straight-up image mapping/hotspot creation.
I created an automated task to individually resize images and make thumbnails. Then I made a simple gallery layout in html and manually coded each thumbnail to link to the original sized image.
Today, out of the blue, Illustrator stopped displaying any raster images. The file opens, but I just get a blank artboard. The title bar at the top of the page shows the preview but it doesn't display on the page. It doesn't seem to matter if I import the file or if I just open the file straight into Illustrator. I've tried PSD, JPEG, TIFF, and PNG without success. This morning I was redrawing old logos for a client, and this afternoon I can't open anything that is rasterized.
