View 4 RepliesI was normal used Corel DRAW X6. Than one day when I run Corel DRAW X6 it become yellowish. After few days of exploring a problem I come to next conclusions.
When I use Corel DRAW X6 in Enhance or Pixel view, color of background and color palette is yellowish. In other views, color of background is white but color palette is still yellowish. Also if I run Corel with Default workspace, everything is OK, but if I run Corel with my workspace, I have a yellowish problem.
Apparently, in my Imported workspace, Corel DRAW X6 use System Default Color Profile - LG W2486, even if I set in Corel to use sRGB profile.
Probably problem is in my workspace. find where is the problem because I have a lot of changes on Workspace so it would be pain to build workspace again.
I have a custom PC running Windoes 7, 4gigs of memory and an AOC 22inch LED monitor. The color white in Photoshop Elements looks off and almot a light yellow. What gives? I tried a reinstall of PE 10 to no avail.

I have this image, and I would like to know how they made this guys face yellow.
As you can see they made the guys face. All yellow with a really nice technique you can clearly see theres strong sides and some are lighter tones.
I'm using photoshop 7 which is enough for me. about my problem, I can temporarely fix it by going to View -> Proof Setup -> Monitor RGB but I feel something needs to be replaced to make a permanent fix, maybe photoshop has stored previous monitor's colors values and is loading it when I load photoshop
View 17 Replies View RelatedI work in PS CS4(3) or Lightroom in Vista I ge this yellowish tone over my images, it also appears to be in regular Explorer when i view pictures there, and i know its not the monitors problem because when I view pictures in Infanview, it shows true colors, which I can also see if I upload my images to the web or view them in explorer but on my another XP machine. Is it Vista related or what?

As you can see the sandstone building is old and dirty. What is the best way to clean up this building? I did several attempts, but all of them gave me a unnatural or blurry building.
Okay so I got the grunge brushes off of expertstudio but now I need more.... I need stuff to create things like there are on the splash page of teamphotoshop (splash 17, or splash 13). Anyone have some cool brushes I could have? Thanks for the advice in advance.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm creating a level for a 3D game, and I'd like to use self-made textures for that one. A part of the level is supposed to take place on the outsides of an old castle. So I need a stone floor that looks old, a little dirty and bumpy.
I've folowed a few tutorials, and I made pretty nice things, but I can't seem to make the stones look more realistic. If you take this example (not created by me)
You'll see that the stones have very subtle cracks and scratches, and that it looks dirty (notice the greenish moss growing on it, darker patches here and there, etc)
I want stones that have similar effects. Can anyone tell me how to make that greenish moss effect and how to make outside stone floors look dirtier and older in general?
Every time I reduce the size (height & length) of a picture in Photoshop, I get a lot more pixels everywhere. And when I mean a lot, it's really so dirty that I cannot use it !
I don't understand because i've got some pictures from a Canon 40D that are really good quality, about 3800px X 2500px, it says its about 28cm large. If I reduce to 14cm, so half the size, I almost don't recognize the people on the picture if it's a group picture: a face is just composed of a few pixels. But when I send the pictures to a professional to print them on a 10cm postcard, it's perfect as the original, no "pixel-distortion".
I've tried many ways to shrink the picture: image size, free transform, I've tried tiff, jpeg... It's always the same. - Do you know a good way to shrink pictures without having the "pixelisation" problem, is there some settings to take care off ? Even maybe another software that would do the trick?
I become desperate because I'm working on a Dvd cover and the quality is so poor it would be better with my cellphone and it was shoot with a Canon 40D. I had this problem over and over with pictures from different origins and it's annoying when I have to work on small printout.
caused by a flood in my location (Bavaria/Germany), I have many damaged photos, which where stored in cellar, which was flooded. The photos are dirty and wet, but they can be cleaned and dehumidified. Many photos have now areas with ruined colors and "fire blizzards" on it. can I prepare damaged photos with Photoshop elements (8, 9 or 11) in that way, that I get back a good picture?
View 5 Replies View Relatedthere are a lot of plug-ins available to "clean-up" and perfect images...does anyone know if there are any real good filters for making a photo "dirty" ie dust, scrathes, light leaks, grain, distortion, blurring, vignetting, anything like that?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an old Commodore 64 Disk label that I would like to clean up for re-printing.
method of making this black and white (1 bit depth) while retaining the smooth edges?
I suppose it could be gray scale, if need be as long as it looks clean and mostly b/w.
I have a script (modified version of export-selection) which when run makes the XCF look as if it has been saved. It's caught me a couple of times in that I have opened an XCF, made some edits, exported a selection, then clicked on the X to close GIMP, which it has happily done without complaint or prompt, presumably because the script has done the equivalent of saving the file and Gimp doesn't think anything needs saving again.
So, what's the simplest way in the script of:detecting and remembering in a variable that the XCF has been edited.if it has been edited, setting this "dirty" bit again after the rest of the script has run.1 is not essential, in that it would be OK if running the script always marked the file as needing saving, even if I hadn't edited it.
Here's a way to make fairly realistic metal fill for an object, without having to fiddle with dragging colors from the color bar to the fill tool arrow.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a rough shot (for me anyway) to clean up.
1) There's a part of a Lensflare that travels across a characters face, which I need to remove. What is the best way to deal with this?
2) I also need to change the Lens Streak on the street light to one that's horizontal.
I'm attaching a low res Quicktime of the shot - (608kb)
Inventor does not think an update is required for iAssembly members after changes to attributes on a client feature are saved. In our workflow we avoid rebuild all because it causes subassemblies to change, so we force an update by changing a parameter. Through the API is there a good way to indicate that our change was significant enough for members to need updating?

So that when I place the final psd on top of a block of solid colour in Indesign the gradient shows the background colour through where the black fades off.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm using PSE8. I was using Filter>Render>Clouds and it was working for me. I must have done something because the clouds that are rendered are black & white not Blue and white. My photo is of course a color image. How I can correct this or what I need to do to get back to the default setting that will render blue & white instead of black and white?

Is there any way to select all of a certain color in a selected region and turn it offwhite?
I installed Photoshop CS4 and am using a Samsung flat panel monitor. I do web design and print design. Here is the problem: Web design:Color profile is set to Monitor ColorProof color is set to Monito RGBProof Colors is checkedWhen I save image through Save For Web,
it looks fine in the preview box but in some browsers it has blue tint (even the white color now looks blue)I tried embedding the monitor coor profile into the exported JPEG and tried converting to sRGB and it always is a problem Print design:When I make a new CMYK document 300dpi the white now has a yellow tint.
I tried to paint the entire image white (and the foreground color is clearly white) then go with the eyedropper it says its fff6db (yellowish)Proof Color: working CMYKCMYK Color: US Web Coated (SWOP) v2Color Managment Policies are all off What I want is an explanation of how I can make sure that the colors are correct on my screen such that what I see on the monitor is exactly what everyone will see on their browsers.
And that there are no color shifts. I had version 6 at work and its fine, when I converted from RGB to CMYK the colors just got a little washed out but the whites remained white.
I've got CS2 at home on the PC. When I open photoshop or any document, the black and white are black and a dark cream color on my monitor. There is no white at all in the color areas and white seems to show as this cream color everywhere - affecting how I view images. However, when I print the white is white. Have tried changing around color settings.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am using a pdf underlay to trace over and whenever the crosshair or pickbox enters a white area it does not shift color to black to remain visible. This leaves me picking randomly trying to guess where the crosshair or pickbox is. If I change the 3dconfig to disable hardware acceleration, the color shifts, but the pdf is whited out. Not to mention the fact that by disabling hardware acceleration, I'm wasting the expensive video card on the machine. Is there a workaround? updated driver? service pack?
View 4 Replies View RelatedOkay so I'm trying to take the white background off of a picture using the select a color on white, but it takes out a lot or the fur and eyes(it's a picture of a cartoon cat) How can I remove the areas of can from the selection without removing the pieces of cat too.
It's creative commons, so I guess I can post screen shots...
The cat is from [URL]...
A general idea of the selected area
What happens when I take out the selected area
So how can I take the pieces of the cat out of the selected area so when I try to delete the background I don't get an invisible cat?
know of a macro available that will search a document for any form of white fill (rgb, cmy, cmyk, greyscale, etc) and if it finds any of those colors, it will automatically change those white fills to a Pantone White Spot Color?
I'm aware on the Oberon Color Replacer, but I'd like a macro that is more simple and will do all of this with a click of a button or keyboard shortcut.
I created a logo and then opened it as a layer so that I can make a website header image. It is shown here [URL] and as you can see the background is an off-white colour. It is probably unnoticeable to many, but I would prefer to get it right. How can I make the background a pure white so that it blends in with the white of the wordpress theme?
