Nov 4, 2013I need to be able to choose a specific folder to generate image assets to! Is there some way to do this?
Instead of just creating a folder called nameOfMyFile-assets, I want to generate assets to a folder elsewhere!

This last one is exported with Save for web feature and got correct colors.Original document is on srgb color so it should be right in first place?

As you know Generate creates a folder in the same location as your PSD which is logical but I work in a studio where we are collaborating on web projects and it would be ideal if the generated assets were being saved to a web project's image folder instead of the location where we keep our PSD mock-ups.

Apr 24, 2013URL....When experimenting I found out that the materials are displayed in the browser but don´t appear any more when a parameter is changed. The browser still displays them right but I need to change them and apply them to get Inventor to display them again. I´ve attached two screenshots to show you the material is still assigned.
The assets have been authored with a german Inventor version and opened in a English language pack version. Changing the target language and replacing the English library had no effect at all.
I will be forced to open EVERY Asset and change ALL the materials with German names to their English counterpart. Including colour styles I apply by ilogic.
Revit :: Deleting Assets From Asset Browser?
Oct 19, 2012I'm updating our Revit template in Revit Structure 2013. When I look into the Asset Browser in the unreferenced library there are a lot of Assets wich are incremented [(1), (2), (3),...]. I don't need these Assets in my template, but I can't remove them because the unreferenced folder is locked. How can I delete these Assets?

Nov 2, 2013When I duplicate the Material in the Material Browser all appearance and Physical properties are duplicated too.
So I must accept or assign the new unique names for appearance and Physical purposes of Material.
In my case I need, for example, the same Material with different appearance, for example knurled and regular.
I cannot save the new Material with existing Physical properties name and it makes unwanted copies like Steel(1), Steel(2) in Assets.
After I made a copy I can reassign the Physical properties back to existing but it takes a time of replacing assets and deleting unwanted copies.
Is it possible to make a copy within the same Physical Assets?

Can this be done by converting the layout to a ordinary iam?
I can make use of editors, change the data header ect... Is this possible?

Aug 24, 2012Does Inventor give the ability to place default Factory Assets on a 2D factory layout? I know the Factory Design Suite has the ability to do this, but I don't need the Suite as I already own AutoCAD. All I need to be able to do is visualize a 3D factory layout such as in the following video for the Factory Design Suite:[URL].......
What software will accomplish this? And again, I wouldn't need the Suite, because I don't need any other feature than to insert 3D factory assets onto a 2D layout.

Jan 2, 2013Is there a way to "refresh" the Library Assets Images folder so that it finds all the images in that folder ? I noticed that when I create a new project that EDGE will find all the images that I have in the "IMAGES" folder at the time of creation but if I add images to that folder outside of EDGE then EDGE doesn't refresh that folder and I can't find a cmd to refresh that folder in EDGE ? I thought that maybe closing and reopening the project would refresh it but it doesn't. The only way I can find to get more images in after project creation is to manually add them.

On my website I have some .gif files that are blurred a bit and not sharp and clear.
The problem is, as I learned previously on this forum, that when I go to the source for this image, it tells me that it is 128px x 167px. What it should be is 166px x 96 px, and when I go to the .ftp folder that my website is loaded on a click on this .gif
image, it shows it at 166px x 96x.
So why it would show the proper size of the .gif file in the .ftp folder but then the .gif file changes size on the website.

but when i save it out to a folder, i do not get a seperate image folder with all my pics in. My images and html file are all in the same folder.
If i create my own image folder and drag the images into it, then it breaks the link in the html page.

Apr 23, 2012Is there any way to import user defined factory assets within Inventor Factor Design? It would be nice to be able to import the assets created on my desktop directly to my user asset library on my laptop whithout having to go through the process of checking out all of the parts/assemblies and republishing them as user assets onto my laptop. I am the only on in the office currently using Factory Design, but the rest of the office will transition to Factory Design once we implement 2013. It would be nice if I had this figured out before that transition happens so the rest of the employees don't have to go through the process of republishing user assets to their own libraries.

Nov 6, 2013I'm presently making assets for an ipad app in illustrator i create all the layers as indidvidual assets then export as a layered psd...i've found that when i open this in photoshop some of the assets are 1 pixel out....which is an issue(for our developer) when you are making ipad retina assets and convert these to non-retina which are half the size.
Any way of mananging this so I deliver even number pixel(on the x axis) assets so they are easily halfed - which in turn doesn't create more work for our developer.
i'm using cs6 suite. my preference is to create the assets in illustrator rather than photoshop

I have about 1000 folders all that have a file inside called; sample.jpg. I need to resize each of them and I have to use the Save For Web option so that these files are as small as possible. Save As makes the images too big. My plan was to make an action and batch process the files. It's easy enough to open all the documents, within the root directory, that are called, sample.jpg, by using the finder search features, but what I can't seem to do is get the Save to Web option to recognize the image's source folder. If I create an action, I see that the location I used when I created the action, is hard coded, so all I'm able to do is overwrite the same file, over and over again.

filename (1) from Folder (A)
filename (1) from Folder (B)
Open in Photoshop and run an applescript to combine the two images and save the result to a location.
Then
filename (2) from Folder (A)
filename (2) from Folder (B)
Run the batch again and again until all images in the sequence are processed in both folders.
Was looking into an Applescript that may do the job but can't seem to find anything. Happy to look at purchasing a solution if it is available.

When I'm in "Folder Location" and click on a folder it doesn't display any pictures and says "No files from this folder have been imported into Elements Organizer. To add any files, right click on the folder and select "Import to Organizer"
So I do as I'm told and then i get this error."Nothing was imported. The files or folders selected to import did not contain any supported file types or the files are already in this catalog."
