Photoshop :: Different Image Size For Web And In Ftp Folder
Oct 29, 2006
I was just trying to make some changes to some images using Photoshop and
On my website I have some .gif files that are blurred a bit and not sharp and clear.
The problem is, as I learned previously on this forum, that when I go to the source for this image, it tells me that it is 128px x 167px. What it should be is 166px x 96 px, and when I go to the .ftp folder that my website is loaded on a click on this .gif
image, it shows it at 166px x 96x.
So why it would show the proper size of the .gif file in the .ftp folder but then the .gif file changes size on the website.
Is there a way in Photoshop to change the image size and resolution to a folder that has many jpegs images in it? Otherwise I will have to change the size and resolution to about 250 images. If Photoshop won't do it is there another program that will?
I am checking the size of a photo as it needs to be as near as dammit to 10MB. this is it in Photoshop So it's 9.92MB. But this is what is shown when I select the folder it's in and to go list view (its the picture at the very top of list) / 1.9MB! Which is correct?
When I open Elements 9 in Folder Location the images displayed are not those in the highlighted folder. Similarly if I select another folder I see another selection of images from elsewhere in the structure.Â
I have lots of images within folders within my pictures, my ask is this how do i make all the pictures within the folder the same size, is there a one click solution or is it a case of doing each image as i use it for manipulation? Most of the images are2387x1929 pixels.
Selecting (in grid view) dragging and dropping image to a new folder copies, not moves image. I want image gone from first folder. It works like that sometimes, but not all athe time.
I have a 180GB SSD, which I specifically bought, to make Lightroom (4.4) faster and to store 1:1 previews. Initially, I set up Lightroom catalog (containing 18221 images) to never delete 1:1 previews and stored the previews in a high quality mode. This quickly fill up my SSD. I would like to set it up to store as many previews as it can while leaving atleast, say 20GB, free on SSD. The alternative, which is to discard 1:1 previews after 30 days or so, is not really acceptable to me.
I am trying to create some images in PS2 that have to be 3.5 to 4.0 mb. When viewing the Image Size screen, I might see an image size of 9.6 mb. However, when I save the image and run my mouse over the image in Bridge, it shows a size between 2 to 3 mb. I can't figure out why this discrepancy, or what math I need to do in order to figure out how to create the required image size other than by trial and error.
I have CS5.1 on a Macbook Pro.I have an incredibly frustrating problem.   I've seen similar questions, but not an answer that has resolved this for me. I have an image I have sized to fit an 8.5 x 11 inch paper. Canvas and image size all indicate my image is sized at 7.33 x 11 inches. It is at 300 dpi. Print size view indicates full space is utilized on either side….BUT…  When I go to print, I click "scale to fit media" (which is an 8.5 x 11 paper sitting in printer) image prints smaller with a bar on one side. . When I uncheck STFM, I get: scale - 92.67%,
I have a created a new PSD that is 8 1/2 x 11.The canvas size is the same 8 1/2 x 11.I want to put a border around the picture (say 1/2 of an inch all around), and put the finished picture in a Picture frame. After it is in the frame, you would be able to see the entire picture plus the border. Q. Should I change (reduce image size) of the PSD to (for this example), 8 x 10 1/2.     Then increase the canvas size to 8 1/2 x 11. After I increased the canvas size, do a Paint Bucket fill with white (to create the White border)? then print the changed size PSD on 8 1/2 x 11 paper so that it will fit into a 8 1/2 x 11 picture frame I realize I could have just created the new PSD to be 8 x 10 1/2 in the first place.
When I save a file to jpeg the image size in photoshop remains the same as it was as a tiff file BUT according to the information that comes up in windows properties the file is much smaller (300k vs 2.9mg).  Can you advise me which is the correct file size?  If the correct size is the one showing in windows (300K) does mean that the file compressed in JPG and lost a lot of information?
and if this is the case how can I prevent that from happening and still save the file as a JPG?  [ I would like the image to remain the size photoshop shows it to be] . Thank you very much.
Is there a way to sent print to a selected printer by choosing multiple dwg files thru Folder directory without opening autocad? For example if I want to print 12.dwg, 13.dwg, 14.dwg and 15.dwg by just choosing these dwg files on my directory.
I would like ot make a smart fodler in LightRoom that will capture all my Instagram photos in one place. The parameter that seems obvious to me is the size 2048x2048. Â I cannot see any way to make this an attribute in a smart folder, I am new to LightRoom.
I run photoshop CS3 and I just created an image, saved it as a jpeg and uploaded it to my website. The image looks great when I open it from the folder in the computer but on my website it has lost quite a bit on image quality.
I need to be able to choose a specific folder to generate image assets to! Is there some way to do this? Â Instead of just creating a folder called nameOfMyFile-assets, I want to generate assets to a folder elsewhere!
can a watermark stay the same size even when an image size is altered? say if its text and it gets too big when i enlarge the image how do i shrink the watermark ? when it is already merged and flattened as one picture without a separate layer.
such as a php or java script to keep the watermark distinct in a way even in a flattened pic or to select the watermark to erase it and re-apply it in the right font size back onto the resized pic?
I need to overlay a transparent image of a tablet over about 50 images from a folder - is there any automated way to do this? I can use either Photoshop or Illustrator
I'm using CS5.5/Photoshop5.1 Â I have about 1000 folders all that have a file inside called; sample.jpg. I need to resize each of them and I have to use the Save For Web option so that these files are as small as possible. Save As makes the images too big. My plan was to make an action and batch process the files. It's easy enough to open all the documents, within the root directory, that are called, sample.jpg, by using the finder search features, but what I can't seem to do is get the Save to Web option to recognize the image's source folder. If I create an action, I see that the location I used when I created the action, is hard coded, so all I'm able to do is overwrite the same file, over and over again.
I am having trouble with Image/Resize/Image Size in PSE7. In the past I had a document size of 4x6. When I wanted to reduce the # of pixels, I just entered new #s and the document size remained the same. A couple days ago I changed both the document size and canvas size. I cannot get my old settings back. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the program, I also have PSE11 on a trial basis and it also only sees the changed settings. I've tried changing Scale Styles, Constrain Proportions & Resample Image, in addition to changing the Canvas Size but cannot get it to work like it did before I changed the settings.
I wonder if it is possible to change the name of the JPEG destination folder when using Image Processor?I organize all my folders with a specific date structure. Whenever I use Image Processor to create JPEGs, the folder is called JPEG. Then I have to rename the folder with the date structure.Â
Is there some way to include the original folder name in the JPEG folder?"Save As JPEGSaves images in JPEG format within a folder called JPEG in the destination folder.
I go through a lot of sketch stages to get to a final picture, and I sometimes print on legal paper. My Brother printer does fine at that with Apple Pages, MSWord, Acrobat, and Illustrator, but with Photoshop there's a problem. I set up a legal-size image in PS, go through all the settings I can find for printing to a non-letter-format sheet, hit print, and what I get is a letter-size patch of image on a legal-size sheet. Clearly, either I am missing something or PS is missing something.
